NO STARS AT ALL. Well, my saga continues. I still don't have my pillows and have heard absolutely nothing from them. Tulile called me a while back and advised that she would contact the courier company. I'm still waiting. I should have known that I should stick to Takealot. Hell, even Temu is sounding great right about now !!!!
My 5* is actually for an individual person, Cindy van Staden, at Key Health. After numerous email queries, Cindy ended up with my query. She handled it with professionalism, empathy and speed. Thank you very much, Cindy.
I have placed a few orders this year and there has been a problem with each and every one of them. My latest order placed on 17.2.2026 : ordered 2 x memory foam pillows on O/No OD436819528874075100, recv'd notification of delivery for 24.2.2026. Today is 9.3.2026 and I'm still waiting. Sent 3 emails requesting update, nothing. Called this morning and was advised that the courier didn't collect, so they will now have to re-request the order. They simply couldn't care less anymore. Well done Makro, you won't be seeing me again.
I have voting papers that need to be collected for the Italian Consulate. Initially booked for Friday 6.3.2026 with Ciara, they didn't pitch. Then booked with Ashtenenique, for Monday 9.3.2026, no show. Today I booked with a young man for Tuesday 10.3.2026, anyone taking bets whether they show? Asked for their supervisor, she/he is out of office. A really well run business. Hope the Italian Consulate takes note of this !!!!
Actually, no star at all. VERY ********* ORGANISATION. They keep sending out mailers with a main pic of jewellery. But the items in that pic are NEVER for sale. They do not even stock the items. I've tried (for the last 4 or 5 mailers) to purchase the items in the main pic and am told they are not in their catalogue !!!
When Lovisa send out their mailers, the main pic is of jewellery. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to purchase what they show in their mailer. I send emails requesting where I can find these items, only to be told they do not sell those goods. Then why advertise them? Misleading advertising, if you ask me. I think I'll be taking this up with the relevant advertising authority. Any bets as to whether I get a reply from Lovisa??
Actually no star at all. We have an account with Fedex, yet they've blocked our account due to non-payment, which is incorrect. I have sent them POP's and they tell me they can't unblock the account as it is done from India!!!!! You can't get hold of anyone in a supervisory capacity, as they are also in India.
I want to cancel my medical aid and gap cover. I've tried sending an email on 30.11.2024 to two different email addresses. No response. Today I have tried calling about 8 different numbers and get halfway through the process of choosing number this and number that and I get cut off. A person is required to give a calendar months' notice. Let Discovery try and get out of this one. I've had enough !!!!
Unfortunately, there is no process for giving Nedbank a minus star. On 21.8.2024 I took a German National to OR Tambo to catch his flight back to Germany. He wanted to cash some money so went to the Nedbank ATM behind the BYTE Cafe. The ATM retained his German bank card. We called the emergency(?) number. Some guy told us to contact the branch linked to that machine. When I pointed out the time (17:00) to him, he said 'oh, they won't be open. So, I asked him what we should do, and he said he could understand my problem but had no answers. Can Nedbank tell me how we recover this card, that is not in my name, but belongs to my brother-in-law? Pathetic service, as usual, from Nedbank. Or would they like my brother-in-law to fly back? This is the service I've come to expect from Nedbank (and I have been one of their customers for about 28 years). Looks like I'll checking out my options for my bank accounts and investments.
About 6 weeks ago I received a letter requesting proof of insurance. I have sent this to them on 4 different occasions. Today I get an email that they have loaded their own insurance on my monthly payment as from 28.12.2023. Really !!!!! Like ****** hell !! I have just called them and they actually have my insurance details on record but some fool hasn't bothered to load the details. The young lady I spoke to said she "has cancelled it right now". THEN, I get another email (not 5 mins ago) advising me that my request has been sent to the cancellations dept but that the turnaround time is 21 working days !!! MFC take note : if this money is debited from my account, I will sue the living daylights out of you. It is not my fault that you have a bunch of ***********s working for you. And I know that you can change your D/O run to accommodate this change. Be warned, I will not take this lightly. Perhaps the CEO would like to reply to this???
