we have a few contracts with telkom, they submit us invoices and have never once done a debit order. we've always paid via easy pay. in January an invoice was submitted to us, saying after all payments, we are liable for an amount of R491.04 was due on the 29th of february 2024 we generally pay more than the amount due on the account, always rounding of the total. we didnt question it as it showed the deduction breakdown on the invoice. still we paid an amount of R1050. Suddenly debt collectors start emailing us requesting payment, spoke to Bruce, he said it was an error on telkoms end and they will rectify, and now suddenly we disconnected and an amount of R1900 is being requested to reconnect our services!!!!! I don't have that laying around! what happens next? Am i to be bul**** to pay up due to an error on their end?? Their *********** staff is no help.
For 3 days now, Multichoice has messed up my account. Disconnected my indian add on, insisting a payment is required, disconnected my secondary decoder and had me hold on for 30 to 35 minutes on each call. The first day Nokukhanya Ncube took my call had me hold on for 30 mins straight and didnt even attempt in any way to fix it up. Yesterday a brilliant agent lindokuhle Xulu helped, she had me stay on the line with her while she restored my secondary decoder. But this morning its back to square one. My indian add on still disconnected and my secondary decoder dead. You charge us an arm and a leg for disgusting service. You hire incompetent call centre agents. And your customer service sucks!
On the 16th of December we went into their walk instore, completed a deal, we were told all products for the promo were not in store and would be notified when we would receive them. 2 weeks later we were called, most of the products arrived, just the router would be outstanding, and to top it off, we were promised a huawei wireless headset. We've been to the store more than once to query. Called several times, only for us to be told today, tomorrow etc. Today when we call, we are told it needs to be authorized by higher management as he wasnt supposed to release goods until he had everything with him. Who's fault is that? We have paid our installments done whats right and still no joy!!!! Telkom is this not considered fraud? Regional manager refuses to even get back to us.

So we went ahead with the procedure once this was confirmed. A few days later claim is rejected, funds depleted. Now we are liable for R1004 to the dentist. Due to discovery's incompetence we are now indebted. I want it fixed. This was posted 9th May 2021 to this date being the 17th May 2021 no response.

I purchased a shoe who works retail, 6 months ago, prior to that from the very same store i purchased a hi tech shoe for him which opened up, they returned it after we emailed hi tech, now again a different brand costing us R599 has now opened up. The store refuses to assist saying it wear and tear. 2 shoes in 6 months? Really? So my R599 doesnt count? Tekkie town just gets to forget while my hard earned money is a waste.
I've purchased a Defy fridge from House n home om the 29th of december 2020. 2 months later the water dispenser just starts dripping when we fill up, then the freezer drawer breaks. Report it, no communication then they pitch, say they returning the following tuesday, just don't pitch. I dont want the fridge anymore. Im not happy with the brand or quality. Defy refuses to acknowledge it, says they have the parts and i have to accept this pathetic service. I DO NOT WANT YOUR LOW QUALITY APPLIANCE AND SURE AS HELL DON'T NEED YOUR PUTRID CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!
You have a bunch of incompetent people working at your call centre and handling your social media accounts. Its been two days and I am being billed for PVR functions and add on Indian channels but nothing on my decoder! They unable to to link up ny extra view. So why entice customers to extra view if theres so many issues? Absolute nonsense! Such a big brand and you cannot train your staff accordingly!
I had taken a personal loan with them and due to the covid 19 lockdown and financial constraints i went into arrears. Once i was back on my footing i paid them and all other creditors. Every other creditor has submitted my paid up letters and cleared what i owed but Cobol Finance has not. This does not help me as i need to move forward. Today i call them and nothing but pathetic excuses. All they do is drag their feet. My advice to people, do not use them at all. This now affects my credit score.
