OUTsurance is a great company with which to deal
I recently had a serious accident, and my car was a write-off. My OUTsurance policy allowed for a rental car while the claim was being processed. However, my injury was such that I was unable to drive for quite some time - well after the claim was paid. Nonetheless, OUTsurance allowed me to have a rental car for a short period, giving me the independence to look around for a new car. I am very grateful to OUTsurance.

A con with Vodacom
I only use my phone for calls and messages. I have had a contract with Vodacom for over 30 years. I renewed it recently with Warren at Carnival Mall. He rushed me through the details of my new, "similar to the previous" contract as he had to go to church. I now pay R406 a month and run out of airtime by the 11th! He took advantage of this old lady and sold me a millstone. I will NEVER take out a contract with Vodacom again.

Zero out of Five for NetFlorist
For Christmas, I ordered for our 4 children, clocks, personalised with the family coat of arms and tartan, from NetFlorist. The Assembly Instructions did not match the parts of the clock. Two did not have the 'rubber gusset'; one lacked a 'brass *****'; two had two Minute hands and no Hour hand; one Minute hand did not fit into the groove. One could not be assembled because of a lack of parts; two started, stopped and did not start again. NetFlorist said they would replace the clock mechanisms. 7 weeks later, I am still waiting.

Top marks to Hyde Park Hotel staff
Last weekend I went to visit my sister who was staying at the Hyde Park Hotel. I had trouble finding the Restaurant where we were to meet. A staff member very kindly ushered me to different venues until I met my sister. When I wanted to return to my car, I couldn't remember the Level at which I parked. An attendant accompanied me in the lift and stopped at every level until I found my car. #WIN FIRST CLASS TREATMENT

No response from TEVO on dud product
I purchased a Bennett Read Swift Cordless Wet & Dry Vacuum in November 2019. I extended the 1 year warranty to a 2 year warranty. In July 2020 it stopped working. It was sent away to have the battery replaced. Again in April 2021 it stopped working and again the same process. Nowhere in the USER GUIDE does it mention frequent battery replacements. I called the TEVO Customer Service Help Line (0861778888) to find out if this is a regular problem and if so, what do I do to prevent it. I was anxious to know how much the battery replacement would cost once the warranty has expired. The person who answered my call could not help me and suggested I speak to a technician at a different Help Line - 0861118386. Again, the person who took my call could not help me but said she would put me through to someone who might. The phone rang for some time and a voice activated message said my call could not be answered and I could not leave a message. I was cut off. So I sent an email to TEVO. Two weeks later a second email. NO RESPONSE. I will never purchase a TEVO product again

Top marks to Volkswagen and Lindsay Saker, Boksburg
My 2 year old VW Polo would not start. I made a call to VW Road Side Assistance and had an incredible response. Within 15 minutes a VW technician arrived. He couldn't identify the fault and summonsed a tow truck which arrived 20 minutes later. The car was taken to Lindsay Saker, Boksburg. Throughout, I was kept informed of the progress by VW Road Assistance in Port Elizabeth and the Workshop manager at Lindsay Saker. What excellent service.

Excellent staff training
All staff members at Checkers Hypermarket, Carnival Mall, Brakpan are superb. Whether a packer, supervisor, assistant or cashier; when asked a question, they stop what they are doing and assist a customer. If I ask "Where?" the assistant will take me from one end of the shop to the other to show me where the desired item is to be found. This makes shopping at Checkers all the more pleasurable.
