Uber driver left me in a bad predicament. Prebooked for medical procedure. Kept moving pick-up time until it was 5 minutes to the time of my procedure at a hospital in Pinelands. I live in Table View. Ordered Bolt. Arrived within 3 minutes. Much cheaper than Uber.
I prebooked on Sunday for an important procedure I was scheduled to have done at 10h00 at Vincent Palotti Hospital (Pinelands) the next morning. Pick-up time requested and confirmed for 09h10. Only cash option available. Had to sc**** together the cash as I was too sick to drive to ATM. I live in Table View (anyone living in Cape Town will know this is a considerable drive, especially on a Monday morning during peak time. The driver's arrival time kept being moved on. I phoned him twice. (Wanele). Both times he hung up on me without answering. I was in a state. Kept phoning surgeon to update. When the time moved to 09h55 as pick-up, I booked with Bolt. The guy was there within 3 minutes. I was half an hour late for my procedure and everything had to be rushed to accommodate the next patient. I didn't get chance to discuss my pains and to get a script for all I need and emailing the surgery is not allowed. I now have to pay to go and see a doctor to explain symptoms and get a script. PS: Bolt much cheaper.
I purchased a cellphone from Incredible Connection in 2024. It gave me problems from the beginning. I went back to the store. They told me that I must come back when the technicians are in - they just left ("there they walk out"). Also, that my phone would need to be handed in and an exchange is not a possibility. As I needed the phone to work, I carried on with the phone the way it is. Eight months after purchase it died completely and wouldn't switch on. I took it to Incredible Connection to be send to Samsung and had to go and buy a secondhand phone in order to work. One week after I received a whatsapp asking for my password. I asked if that means my phone is back and was informed it had not been collected yet. Weeks later I was send a quote - I had to pay R3700 to repair as it was user damage.
My experience with Incredible Connection, branches Table Bay Mall where I purchased my mobile phone last year, and now N1 City branch, has been so completely unpleasant that I would highly recommend to not ever purchase anything from them. The phone gave problems from the beginning. I went to Table Bay Mall they were less than helpful. Last week it completely died. I took it in to the N1 City Branch. 5 days later I get a whatsapp asking for my password. I phoned and asked whether my phone is back from Samsung. Was told that "repair agent has not collected it yet". Handed in 31 January, was told this on 5 February. I phoned and spoke to the manager. Imaan who was extremely condescending and told me it takes 21 days. And thats it. I have now had to buy yet another phone to be able to do my job. I do not hold high hopes with regards to the Samsung I bought with Incredible Connection. So please be warned.
My Samsung Account suddenly was linked to an unknown number and they could not/would not help me, and without knowing that number, I could not delete that number from my account, and my number was no longer the number on the account, but my email address and password were. I contacted online chat, I went to the Support Centre in Canal Walk, Cape Town, I phoned the support line 7 times and left messages with operators (on Monday morning the lady told me they had only ONE technicial on duty) and I contacted the whatsapp support line.
I dealt with Mastercare due to an issue I had with a washing machine bought from Hi-Fi Corporation. The issue seemed to have been caused by a previous person sent by H-Fi Corporation from a different company and because my machine was out of warranty now, I had difficulty getting assistance, but eventually Hi-Fi got Martin (Administrator) from Mastercare Cape Town to contact me. It was difficult to ascertain the problem, but Martin and Louis persisted. The technician Louis tested the machine in his workshop, found nothing wrong, made suggestions, problem persisted. He then came to my home twice and we have finally resolved the issue. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with them and I am most grateful for them not giving up on my problem.
On Monday I took my vehicle (GWM M4 crossover) for a safety check at the N1 City branch. Was told my two front tires and brakes needed to be replaced at a cost of R5,000+. As I was leaving for Swellendam the next day, I had to do it to ensure my safety. When I reached my destination and got to a dirt road, the front right tire was making a terrible noise. The next morning I went to Dunlop Express in Swellendam and the gentleman (Bernet) showed me that the caliper bolts weren't fastened (not even tightened, not fastened!). I travelled 270 kms as a woman on my own like that. Need I say that this could have resulted in a fatality. Consider me an EXREMELY upset and deeply disappointed, appalled former customer. Regards, D Clarke.
Bought a Samsung phone at Incredible Connection. Basically from the start had problems. Went back. They wouldn't do an exchange, wouldn't give me a loan Phone (I need a phone to work). Told me I have to give phone in so that technicians can look at it "but sorry, there goes the technician- he is done for the day". Very frustrated.
A representative of Wesbank phoned me back soon after my previous review and as getting assistance via their email and phone number proofs fruitless, I will post my next challenge with them. The month after paying my settlement amount, they deducted another instalment. Over a month later, no reversal.
Been struggling for weeks to get my settlement finalised. Now received an email saying I must pay R362 to get the vehicle on my name. It has just been one frustration and obstacle after another.
