Sanlam's Tax free savings investment is not worth it, if you need to withdraw fairly quickly. With other tax free investments at different institutions, you can get your withdrawal within 3 business days to a week at the most. Sanlam, doesn't manage expectations with no communication at all or explanations, and the delay exceeds a week to 2 weeks just to get your own money paid out to you. Don't waste your time, rather consider other options that will work better for you
Vodacom Team....do you really endeavor to retain your subscribers, instead of them moving networks? I have been a loyal customer for more than 20 years, yet every experience for cancellation or upgrade becomes more painful as we go along. I called in to do a cancellation as i found a better deal with an alternate service provider and was handled by your retentions department, who said they would be able to match the deal of sorts to retain me. I spoke to a retentions consultant on 21 November @ 8:52am by the name of Novuhle. She had mentioned that she is sending this off for a deal match to her supervisor and will get back to me on monday 24th November 2025, to date no one bothered to call me or update me. Im tired of calling in to see if you will retain loyal customers. If this is your effort to hold on to customers, then its not going to work
Makro online ****s consumers with **** products. I ordered apple original power adapters as depicted on their website. Only to receive ****/generic unbranded power adapters. Called the customer care, and they expect me to go through the hassle to log a return and take a refund, because the agent doesn't want to escalate the matter to someone with authority to have the original item located and shipped to do a swap out at the same time. If i log a return and take the refund this will go unnoticed and others will be ****med because they dealing with 3rd party vendors that are dishonest. I need someone who has authority to pick this up with me and resolve it!
Bonitas....big name and brand in SA. Completely ***********! So everyone said, move to Bonitas, they are really good. After 20 years with my previous medical aid, i took the plunge and moved over. its month 3 into it and im regretting. The simple fact is that their finance department is completely *********** and there is a lack of communication between departments it seems. And to think im still in the waiting period and already issues with them. My account was active from 1 Jan 2025. I requested a debit order to be billed in arrears, which didnt happen in month 1. I was asked to make a manual payment in month 2 to accomodate that. I kept getting a message after i paid that im in arrears. That eventually fell away after back and forth and i was assured that they have now loaded the debit order correctly for the next month. The next month hit and no debit order on 1 Marc for February service... Response initially was that my debit orders were rejected! i checked with my bank and they received no such requests. Went back to Bonitas and they said, wait it was an issue on their side as my account displayed a credit hence the debit was not loaded. Assurance that account is active and not suspended. Now i get emails saying im in arrears again, and i should do a manual payment. Requested a forced debit order which has not gone through yet and was to ensure no suspension on the account takes place. I get an email yesterday saying that the account has been suspended!!...it gets better, the amount in arrears has increased and is incorrect. Like what are you up to Bonitas. I am considering moving to an alternate provider who is competent. My issue is still unresolved! I cant find escalation points and will resort to public escalations soon to get the desired attention!
Takealot are in the business of advertising as they mentioned. However, there is no control that dictates any interest in the consumer but seems like the attitude is more like, as long as they get paid by the advertiser/seller, the consumer is irrelevant. I have had the experience of false advertising recently which spanned over a few months. In search of a walking pad, i was able to locate one on Takealot that was displayed at an exceptional cost but unfortunately out of stock at the time. I wishlisted it and watched for when it became available again. The moment it became available, i added it to my cart but the cost suddenly jumped up by almost 50% of what it displayed when it was out of stock. I kept it in my cart and took screenshots and a few times over i did this. As soon as it goes back into supplier out of stock, it goes to the incredibly low cost that is desirable to the consumer. I have written to Takealot and after a few back and forth, i was advised to notify them the moment it goes on available again in order for them to investigate and take it up with the seller. After a wait, im advised that they are sorry for this and they have no control and just a platform for sellers. If that's the case, then where is the governance and ensuring honoring of that deal to the consumer. You cant simply not care about the consumer and allow false advertising to lure consumers to make purchases on that basis. Very disappointed in the response and lack of control or not being provided with a solution befitting the consumer, but instead, washing their hands of the complaint. Takealot should honor the deal at the said cost when out of stock and deal with the seller at the backend. Wake up Takealot, if its not for us as consumers, you would not be around at all!
Id like to start by saying that i have been a Marriott member for over a decade and joined prokard for a few years on and off. As it stands, this membership is actually worthless and holds no value add. To all consumers, dont waste your money on this product. My reasoning is for the sole reason, that they offer you vouchers to make use of during the year, but sadly, you can never get a booking using their online platform. It doesnt show and potential available dates for an establishment. What they dont tell you, is that there is a very limited allocation given to hotels to honor these and once snatched up by anyone else, others dont get the opportunity to make use of their vouchers and it becomes futile trying multiple dates to no avail. Im at the stage where its a waste of money spent with no real use. I had even emailed them to get answers and help and its been about 2 weeks, with not a single call or acknowledgment of my email. In short, dont waste your money for something you cant use.
After being a loyal customer for over 2 decades regardless of costs.. they did an annual increase in premium of just over 30% and refusing to reduce it. Even though I’ve hardly ever claimed and ill I’ve been doing is paying the premiums over the years making them rich. I should have just switched to an alternate years ago when the offers have been much better for a like for like service. Santam is no longer a household brand to be reckoned with after rewarding loyalty like this. Choose an alternate provider for better value for money. That’s what I’m going to do because they don’t want to reduce my premiums.
Very unprofessional experience. I purchased a Wikideal for headlight restoration. Upon contacting the company, they scheduled a mobile team the next day to me for this. A team of 2 arrived, and started sanding my headlights. They did not mask around the edges of the lights by the bodywork of the vehicle and just sanded. They were done in less than 20 minutes. When asked why the one headlight was not as restored as anticipated, i was told that "its too far gone". They were in a huge rush to leave. A few days later when i washed the car and noticed the fine scratches against the body work alongside the headlight, i sent pics and notified the owner. Who got on the defensive immediately on whatsapp stating that they don't work there and didn't answer my question of why they didn't mask the edges when working on the vehicle. I requested that he does not go on the defensive as i was merely informing him and i will make it public knowledge so other consumers don't make the same mistake with them. He further responded that if I'm to make it public knowledge, I will have "bigger problems". I then reiterated that as per the Consumer act, i am letting him know and i will be advising others on this service. Happy to share the evidence of the conversation. To my fellow consumers, I suggest you don't waste your hard earned money on this service if you value your car.
Very quick to call the consumer and get them signed up. After that, you don’t receive any policy documentation until you actually call the company they represented for that call. No replies to emails directly to the team lead nor any response from logging the complaint on their website.
If you are a family with small kids. Don’t fly emirates. They split you up as a family across an entire plane and makes the journey traumatic for the kids and stressful for the kids. If you complain to them, they will just respond that as per the terms and conditions they cannot guarantee seating! That’s how much they care about passengers and shows the humanitarian side of the airline too. And to add to this, the ICE (inflight entertainment) doesn’t function well or at all. They won’t accommodate to keep you occupied with another seat or anything. So you will waste your money when flying emirates and be bored. Select another airline where they care and you are more entertained. Complaining to emerita yes is of no use. Fly with better airlines in future.
