I tried to do an online upgrade but received a message that something is wrong with my account. On 27 July I went into a Vodacom store, and they asked me if I am under debt review. I have never been, and all my accounts are in good order. I have 3 Vodacom contracts and Vodacom fiber, all paid diligently. They assured me they will have the block on my account investigated and submitted the upgrade request. After receiving a call from the store, saying all is in order, I checked my account status only to find it was still blocked. I then phoned in and reported the block and checked on the upgrade status. The agent said there was no upgrade requested. He then reported that he submitted the upgrade request. Two days later I checked the accounts status again which I found to still be blocked. Phoned in again. Same story. It is now almost two weeks later and neither request has been fulfilled.
Rain does not email monthly statements. I used their website to get current year invoices, but previous year invoices are not being generated. I logged a request on 23 Dec, but I have not received any reply yet. This already caused me to lose out on tax deductible expenses.
You must ask yourself, how good is the product if you must tie me in with an 8-month contract? A contract that auto renews if I do not call and cancel it. I am in the process of getting the recordings to check if all of this was explained but felt I should make these practices clear to other consumers. I will update as this saga continues.
Purchased an item online on Black Friday. Received order confirmation and invoice. 6 days later i get an email notifying me the order was cancelled due to no stock and that the refund could take up to 10 days. Why are they selling stock they don't have? First and last purchase from them.
I have been without internet access for more than 24 hours. I've logged a ticket with Vodacomn Fibre and the call has still not been assigned to anybody to investigate.
I needed replacement solar tubes for my solar geyser. I measured the tubes and emailed an enquiry to Umbani Solar. Isaac phoned me back and quoted me. I accepted the quote, paid over the payment and then sat back and waited for delivery. Isaac arrived a few days later, with the tubes. It turned out I measured incorrectly and the tubes wouldn't work for my geyser. Isaac took a sample back with him and sourced me the correct tubes. He then delivered them to me and left a very happy, loyal customer behind. Not only was Isaac one of the only solar companies who actually provide replacement parts (most of them sell and install but refuses to service their customers) but he also kept me updated throughout the process. Thank you Isaac!
I recently purchased a laptop online from a private seller. The item was booked with Imperial Express for collection by the seller on 4 Feb 2016. It was collected on Friday 5 Feb. On Tuesday 9 Feb 2016 I tracked the package online and noticed it was still in Cape Town. I phoned the Cape Town branch of Imperial Express and asked for some feedback. Raffik promised to phone me back, but never did so. on Wednesday 10 Feb I phoned the Cape Town branch again and was informed the package has gone missing. In fifteen years of online purchasing this was the first lost package. How do you loose a laptop? No apology, no manager phoning to explain, just \We lost it\". I would never recommend Imperial Express to anybody."
