This is my first claim since inception of the policy in 2012 and certainly not what one would expect from a company of the perceived caliber of Old Mutual . Judging by other posts here it would be interesting if iWyse would even have the courtesy to respond. Will you iWYSE???? My Kombi was scratched down the one side due to it s****ing a wall when entering a garage.. Initially Imize advised that due to my never claiming they would waiver the +- R2 000 excess. A week later they advised that as it was a mistake on my part a R 6000 excess was now applicable. So by being honest one is penalised? Should I have said it occurred in a parking lot & I do not know who did it? I summitted photos online as well as a quote from an Authorised VW repair agent. The quote was in the region of R30 000. Imize advised that I needed to take the vehicle to their approved agent for repairs, who was not authorised by VW. The Kombi in question is an imported one and there were only 22 ever imported by VWSA into SA making it extremely rare and sought after. All the more reason why I wished for it to be repaired by an authorised VW body shop.. When I requested a cash payout so that I could go to an approved VW shop they turned around and said they would only pay R6000 . Subtract the excess of R 6000 = NO Payout. This after paying 12. 5 years of premiums and never claiming. I asked how they arrived at a figure of R 6000 and I requested that I physically take the car to one of their assessors as some remote online as*****t clearly did not match a physical assessment from a body shop. iWYSE went underground thereafter and have not resurfaced. That was more than 2 weeks ago. Is this how you treat customers OLD Mutual??? btw I am also an Old Mutual " Private Wealth Client" . Not for much longer if this is how your organization treats a customer..... There are may other service providers out there both in insurance and investments Old Mutual. Signed up for a fibre service which was accepted by them through the service provider AXXESS . Sent all the required details to Clear access and AXXESS however it became clearly apparent that Clear access : 1. They do not read a clients e-mails in the entirety 2. They make excuse upon excuse even though there is a clear history of correspondence to them 3. They do not answer e-mails ( just as they do not respond to negative ratings on Hellopeter) 3. They then (after waiting weeks for them to overcome their interia) unilaterally cancelled the application. 4. When one tries to phone the person responsible is never available and does not return calls Diane C- you do NO credit to your organization and need to understand that it the client that pays your salary. Ordered and paid for 2 items. Have been waiting weeks . Received an email 3 weeks ago saying goods have been shipped and can be tracked on their website. No tracking on their site exists Neither do they reply to emails Neither do they have a phone number that you can call them…… Neither do they have a contactable physical address Get the picture picture? BEWARE AND AVOID
A heads up for anyone considering using ABSA for receiving foreign funds into SA. DO NOT. What I am writing here is not a once off but has happened on virtually every inwards funds transaction ( over the years ) that my business has had the misfortune of dealing with ABSA. This is what to expect: You receive a nameless email from their "TRIS" department" notifying you of incoming funds. You respond with the required documentation and then "TRIS" goes underground. One hears nothing from them & you cannot contact a nameless person. Numerous e-mail's and days later consider yourself fortunate to receive another nameless response requesting "reason for incoming funds" - THE SAME MODUS OPERANDI EVERY TIME. Reply to them and they go underground again. Not a word from them for a week. THIS BEGS THE QUESTION WHY IT TAKES MANY EMAILS, TO A NAMELESS PERSON, & WEEKS TO RECEIVE MONEYS?. A PROFITABLE ENTERISE ABSA- DO THIS TO MANY BUSINESS AND PAY WHEN THE RAND SUITS YOU? AND CIRCULATE THESE FUNDS THAT ARE NOT YOURS IN THE INTERIM? Not once but many times in our case. Close to white collar crime? Shame on you ABSA. No more. I am moving the account. And do not bother contacting me with empty platitudes- as you have done in the past . Shame on you ABSA.
Received an SMS from ABSA that our business account has been "frozen" as we have not responded to their FICA request. We never received such a request, except for the above SMS. Tried ABSA's 0800 number, waited twice for more than 20 minutes only to be cut off. Tried the branch where we have the account only to find the relationship manager resigned in February , whoever he/she may have been (as we never had the courtesy of meeting ). So at this point you cannot reach ABSA. We have accounts with Investec and Standard and never experience this type of Africanicity- or should it be African tenacity in how not to deal with a client. Time to close this account and be done with this useless bunch. Shame on you ABSA. One star is far too flattering....
Hired a car from their branch at OR Tambo only to have a raft of debits to my card after retuning the car. Have phoned them 3 times (when you finally get hold of them) only to be promised they would come back to you., which they do not. Car was used for a total of 70 kms wit no damage and within the free miles . So what are these extra charges for ???? And why do you not reply to your clients calls??? Same on you
Not only does this organisation misrepresent the products they sell they simply go into hiding when one ones to return a product. They do not respond to emails, have no phone number that they can be contacted on and no social media page. Speaks volumes of how they operate. Shame on you . Ordered from them and they delivered the wrong goods. E-mailed with no response Phoned them and they simply speak over a person , do not listen and then put the phone down . Dealt with a "Jameel" who should not be in business. Shame on you Jameel and "thesaleonline" Based in Fordsburg , JHB & have a dubious online presence in advertising goods they do not have and then ship something inferior . Do not reply to e-mails either and do not have a facebook page which speaks volumes BEWARE
Spent over 4 hours in and out of the ABSA branch , numerous phone calls( only to be cut off) as well as being lead done the wrong path by inept staff. What does it take to get your systems in place ABSA? Particularly your "internet banking" Cant even raise my so called relationship manager , who ever that may be both for my business and Private bank accounts I have with ABSA. Never met them in the over 2 decades I have banked with ABSA Surprisingly have never had to endure this type of service from Investec or FNB, of which we also hold accounts. Shame on you ABSA. You are about to loose all my business. You deserve NOTHING
I have been waiting for my purchase since later November. Despite repeated emails to them as well as a posting on their facebook page they simply ignore you And they have no phone number to enable you to call them. Why so? What are you hiding ? More like "ONE SCAM a DAY" - I am not the only one . one merely has to look their facebook page as to how many unhappy customers there are . On my first order (that I actually received ) some of the products were in their original packaging , others not. These were LED lights and 4 out of the 10 did not work Why so if these are supposedly new products? Happy to share pictures as proof. Simply not worth the effort to return these as you cannot raise a response from them. LESSON LEARNT - Deal with a company that peddles in cheap goods and expect cheap faulty products and service Shame on you
