From my experience, the only and best way to resolve any dstv related issues is to visit their nearby walk in centres. In addition you can now also make appointments online to avoid the queues. Their call centre and e mail responses are ineffective and takes too long. With the walk in centres, you immediately see your changes or request on the app.
Got a quote recently from a consultant which took over 20 minutes , and not as advertised as 10 minutes. My existing insurance quote took 5 minute, with the same number of questions, through AI. Further disappointed that it did not come anywhere near my existing premiums and excess therefore did not bother to send my full policy document to collect the promotion of R500.
Consultant has just contacted me however the call reflected as suspected spam however I answered to hear who was on the other side. When I tried dialing the number again I could not get through. How can a insurance company use a telephone number that reflects as suspected spam. Number was 0214958284
Recently stayed at this hotel. From the beginning, the reception staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. The rooms were also refreshed well the next day. The rates I paid and the service I received was beyond my expectations. Unfortunately I did not get the chance of tasting their meals as it is not halaal but there are many halaal restaurants, walking distance from the hotel.
Do not take out the dstv device care plan with this company. When you have a claim, they do not respond to your email and you cannot get hold if them telephonically. It will take over a week for them to find an installer to resolve the issue and a further one week for the installer to come to you.. I recently canceled this policy.as I would have been without dstv for two weeks.
Dstv gave me a dining reward through TLC marketing. You cannot claim any meal vouchers, through their link, for any of their listed restaurants. Sent numerous emails to them to only receive a response one month later when the link has already expired, asking me to keep trying. They still want me to rate their response to my query !!!!
Nice to hear that dstv has moved their insurance from NMS Insurance services to Sanlam. NMS insurance services was a *********** company that spoilt the name of dstv through their poor service. I hope they supply the correct client information to Sanlam during the changeover.
When I got a quote from Blink by Miway, a Miway consultant contacted me trying to reduce the blink quote and without telling me that they are two different departments of Miway. Secondly after accepting the insurance with blink, they wanted me to change my tracking device to Netstar, however it went over a month where Miway blink or myself could not arrange a booking with Netstar. Due to the delay, my vehicle was not covered for theft and highjacking, as per policy wording. I immediately cancelled my policy with Blink as my vehicle was at risk. Thirdly their explanation with regards to rebate on policy for driving less does not make exist.
Most useless insurance company as it is virtually impossible to contact them telephonically to rectify any issues. Every call you make, you are caller number 60 or over with a 40 minute wait. If lucky you will get assistance or they will mess up your dstv insurance policy even further. Nice to hear that dstv is moving away from them with all their insurance products.
Do not take out the Device Care Plan insurance policy with dstv that covers the installation. Firstly, if you lucky, it will take 48 hours for them to respond to your email and another 48 hours for the installer to come and sort out the problem. You will be without dstv for a week. It's impossible to contact them telephonically if you need to speed up the claim process.
