Friendly helpful service from Itumeleng and other workers. Comfortable waiting area with big screen tv, coffee machine, popcorn and water cooler. Very impressed with the level of service!
Woodrock is an amazing animal rescue facility. It is well designed, clean and orderly. The animals are all well cared for by staff who throughout are friendly and love the animals in their care. I enjoy the peaceful happy atmosphere and go there on Sundays to walk the dogs awaiting adoption.
My daughter app**** for medical cover from Emergivac for her return to RSA. The call centre agents were unhelpful and would not change the date of her debit order so that her cover kicked in from the day she arrived back in the country. Her emails went unanswered and when I tried to call their phones were not answered on a Friday afternoon or Saturday morning.
Capitec's malfunctioning system caused me to incur R14,400 penalties at SARS. The repeated complaints I lodged at Capitec were simply closed without attending to my complaint. Eventually I lodged a complaint with the Ombud. It was easy to do - I simply completed an online form and within a week Capitec reimbursed me the full R14,400
On Monday evening 24 April 2023, I was checking in for my partner and myself on Turkish Airlines flight TK41 on Tuesday night 25 April 2023 from OR Tambo to Istanbul and Porto, Portugal. When I was just about to finalise, a banner caught my eye: UPGRADE TO BUSINESS CLASS FOR USD$350! The top of the page was clearly stating our flights as JOHANNESBURG TO PORTO. So the offer was unmistakably for upgrade from Johannesburg to Porto. No. It was misleading. I clicked, committing myself to twice x USD350. But when I tried to confirm our checked seats in business class Johannesburg to Istanbul plus Istanbul to Porto, it appeared for the first time that the upgrade offer was for Istanbul to Porto only. It was distressing to feel bamboozled and cheated. The Porto flight is only four hours -- the Johannesburg overnight flight is more than twice as long -- why would one pay 2 x USD$350 for a short morning flight to Porto? And how to complain to Turkish Airlines? They seem to make it impossible. Their website says, Please pass on your complaints or suggestions by filling out the feedback form on the contact us page - both 'feedback form' and 'contact us' are clickable -- but both lead nowhere. There is no feedback form that I can find, and no contact us tab or box. Worse, we arrived early at the airport to complain at the Turkish Airlines office at OR Tambo. The proficient person on duty immediately shook her head in sympathy -- 'It's wrong', she told us, 'others have also been complaining and angry -- the upgrade is only from Istanbul -- they should make it clear!' Please, Turkish Airlines, get back to me. I want to be compensated for what feels like a heist.
I booked a flight from Lisbon to Jhb online. TAAG took the money off my credit card, but didn't issue my ticket. I had to buy a new ticket at a higher price, manually from their office in Jhb.
I was delighted at the service I got from Paul at Midas Elarduspark today. The part I needed for my car was inexpensive at Midas and Paul helpfully offered to go outside and fit it for me! This is not the first time I've received such helpful service from Midas.
I googled best price for a DNA airfryer and Masons' price was far below the other outlets. Their website had a chat box, which I used to enquire if there really was no delivery charge. The response was quick and positive and my subsequent questions were helpfully responded to. Unbelievably my airfryer was delivered within 2 workings days. Impressive!
Hertz in George gave me a competitive quote when I rented a car in January 2022. They unlawfully neglected to tell me the price was exclusive of vat! Then 2 months later they took R350 from my bank account without my authorisation. They allege it's for administering a traffic fine. However to date they have been unable to produce the alleged fine. They do not respond to my emails.
