Ordered a helmet from them online that they had listed as a sale item. No communication from them for two days. Emailed them to enquire about the status of my order. Received a phone call to inform me that they “can’t locate the helmet”??? They obviously have no clue what is listed on their online store. No apology, no effort to resolve an issue that is obviously their fault. I cancelled the order and will not order from them again. Order from these clowns at your peril.
Used to be very good, now not even worth a one star rating. Non-existing customer service due to a bunch of idiots they employ as ‘customer service agents’. Final straw today when they cancelled an order due to the item ‘not being available from the supplier’. This after a two week delay. I ordered the same item directly from their supplier shortly after receiving their cancellation email. I am done with Takealot. Rather order from small companies directly, they understand what customer service mean amd you don’t have to deal with idiots to get a problem resolved.
Istore trade in has become a total ****. I have been an Iphone user since the Iphone 4, traded in numerous old phones over the years and always got a fair price with no problems. I visited three Istores in Pretoria yesterday to trade in my old phone for an Iphone 16 plus. All of them offered my a couple of hundred rand for the phone. According to the valuation tool on their website the trade price I was supposed to get was R4600.00. This was always pretty accurate in the past. They make up all sorts of nonsensical reasons for lowering the trade in value, like subtracting R2000.00 because the battery ‘is degraded’. This was NEVER a factor before, the only requirements were that the phone must be able to switch on (still listed as such on their website), no scratches or cracks on the screen and body of the phone. My phone looked like new and batery capacity was above 80%. It is very obvious to me that something changed in their trade in policy - they go out of their way to offer you next to nothing for your old phone. And with an extremely bad attitude at that. This is the last Iphone I will buy from Istore. As far as I am concerned they have become a bunch of ****mers with shady business practices. I have a feeling a bunch of them will be closing their doors for good pretty soon.
The worst ‘support staff’ you can imagine. They belong in The IT Crowd, ‘switch if of and on again’ is the extent of their support. Where do they find these clowns? Stay away, been with them for more than a decade, I’m moving.

just now Absolutely useless. Do not order anything online from companies that use them - you will regret it. They notify you that your parcel is out for delivery. And then you wait. And wait. And wait. Good luck if you try to call them to follow up - it’s like calling a government department, the phone just keeps on ringing. Avoid at all costs.
They make you pay for shipping, no minimum amount for free shipping, then you wait a week for delivery even though you are situated in the same city??? And they use Aramex, the worst couriers in the country. Had to jump through hoops to get my order delivered. Last order I place with them. I place a lot of online orders with many companies - in general everybody has jacked-up their game in this regard in this freaky year. Not these people - they got worse. Deal with them at your own risk.
If you love olive oil, give these people a try. Best in the country. Fast, reliable online service. I have been ordering from them for years, won’t buy olive oil anywhere else. Great products, good communication, fast delivery - what more can you ask for. Thank you guys, always a pleasure doing business with you.
Great company to deal with. I have been ordering tools from them for a number of years - always fast, reliable service. They have regular REAL specials and I have never experienced advertised items on their website not being in stock. Even in this weird year they have managed to maintain their level of service. I should have checked here (like I always do) before placing an online order. Only reason I did not is because I used their online service before and had no problems. Placed an order on 19/08, still waiting. They don’t answer emails or their phone lines. Reading all the other negative reviews, it seems this is the new strategy - avoid the customer. Disgusting “service”, avoid at all costs. To make it worse, they charge for delivery???
