I've placed about 10 orders with them over the past 5 months. Firstly, they say collection from the Boksburg branch usually takes 3-4 days. 9/10 of the items was only ready for collection 2-5 weeks after the orders were placed. Secondly, they are supposed to keep items for 7 days for us to collect. But, after a month of waiting for some of the items, I get a message that I only have 2 days left to collect or the stock will be credited. No prior notifications to collect were sent via sms or email. Thirdly, when I went to collect before they credit, I was not even shown the item, they just said "Oh sorry, the item is damaged, can you wait longer for us to resend a new one or do you want a refund?" So i said no, I don't want to wait any longer, please refund. So they wasted my time and petrol to rush to collect for NOTHING. After 2 days, calling to check on the status of the refund, each agent I spoke to said they will do the refund request, yet when I call again the next day to check if it was done, no requests for refund have been submitted yet. Also, after waiting over 3 weeks for multiple orders, I called them to check if its arrived yet, they said no, maybe next week, so I asked them to cancel 2 x orders. Only one was process for refund, the other one not. Not only do they not send the collection notifications when stock arrives, they do not process your refund requests and call you right back to confirm as they promised over the phone so I have to keep calling every day to make sure the person I spoke to actually did what they said. The staff clearly DO NOT CARE. They do not do what they say. They are not doing they're job AT ALL, unless they're job is wasting clients time and money, well then they are doing a fabulous job. On the day of one of my collections at the Boksburg warehouse, the ENTIRE waiting area was filled with disgruntled customers that's waited between 2 weeks, to 2 months for their orders, yet when they come to collect after already waiting so long, there was still issues that needed to be sorted out. Stock not ready, even after they have received they're collection notifications. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE EVER. After spending so much at their store, waiting weeks, even months, and then having all this drama with trying to get a refund even after the agent says they will put in the request...MULTIPLE TIMES....NO. This place should honestly close their doors as they are clearly all ****s with NO SENSE OF SERVICE AT ALL. They will NEVER SEE A DIME FROM ME AGAIN! Not even sure if this last agent I spoke to today will actually process the refund requests as she said she put it through WHILE I was on the phone. Will call again tomorrow and speak to someone else to double check AGAIN if it has in fact been done as that's been the same story for over a week. Just plain bad service all around. If you can buy the item in-store and they have stock available, by all means, but DO NOT ORDER ONLINE, you will wait weeks if not months and struggle to get your money back!!
Horrible service. Firstly, I have a router to be delivered from Telkom. The Telkom broker SPECIFICALLY instructed them to deliver at my work address as I'm not always home and at work there is always someone to receive the parcel, even if I'm on the road etc. So they just ignored the address we put up for delivery and showed up at 6pm at the home address when I wasn't there. The driver told me they will contact me to get the right delivery address. Next day, no one called, so I tried calling them MULTIPLE TIMES. Phone keeps ringing and ringing. After about 10min I give up because I don't have endless amounts of airtime. Sent them an email instead. Next day, still no feedback on the updated delivery address (which they had from the start), no reply on the email either. So I called again, same story. 10min on the line, ringing and ringing, no one answers. Send an email again, still no response. Seriously even wondering if this company is operational at all because you can't get hold of them on their telephone lines or via email. I might as well be trying to do business with a GHOST. Still don't know if these guys will ever see the email and deliver to the correct address during business hours, before we close. Have NO IDEA when they will come as I CANNOT GET HOLD OF THEM. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. I WOULD NEVER EVER USE THEM FOR MY DELIVERIES AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL. If you deal with them you''ll just have to hope and pray one day someone might come across your email and call you back to make arrangements or something and HOPEFULLY your items get delivered to the right place at the right time. If you need fast delivery and excellent service, this is NOT a courier company to use. Sorry guys, but being unreachable days on end is NOT OK!! There are tons of people looking for jobs. If you do not have enough people to answer calls or respond to emails, then HIRE MORE PEOPLE BECAUSE YOUR SERVICE SUCKS!!!!

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible customer service. NO SERVICE AT ALL. If you have any issue, it's almost impossible to get hold of them. Firstly they're line has issues, keeps asking for your account number or ID number to verify your account. Even though you enter it and the robot repeats it as entered, keeps saying you didn't enter any number so you have to do the SAME THING OVERT AND OVER AGAIN ABOUT 10 X TIMES BEFORE YOU GET TO SPEAK TO AN AGENT. I've called about 20 x times, and NOT ONCE WAS MY QUERY DEALT WITH. Either they keep you on the line for 20minutes or longer, your airtime runs out, reload, call again, call cuts out. I've asked atleast 5 x times with different agents (every time I call I have to re-explain everything to the new agent) and ask them to call me back if the line cuts out, do they ever call back? NO! So I have to call again and again and again. Agent asked me if I logged a query on the app, first I said no because they take to long to respond, but after trying to call and get my queries sorted to no avail, I logged not one, but atleast 3 x qeuries. Waited 3 weeks, still no response. So i go online again to check the status of my queries, Suprise, suprise, I have NO ACTIVE QUERIES. In the meantime, they keep wanting to deduct money off my account for a service I cannot use because I moved and the current place I'm at has no FIBRE connection. My query was for them to either come and install fibre or change my package to LTE or 5G (something I can use). But NO. They delete/ ignore my qeuries as if it has been dealt with, and just keep wanting their money for something I cannot use and in the meantime have to spend tons more on prepaid internet while I wait and wait and hope that maybe one day someone there will do their damn job and assist me without me spending hours more on a line for them to just further waste my damn time! Mweb has ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!!!!! You need assistance, well either figure it out yourself or continue paying for NOTHING!!! Always an issue to get assistance from them. I will absulutely NEVER USE YOUR SERVICE AGAIN!!!!
If I could give a 0 start rating I would! Numerous complaints about the same thing and the issues not getting sorted out. I reported issues on BOTH my business accounts and they only send documents to sort out the 1 (which was filled in a WEEK ago) and now its like I'm even worse off. Now I can't even sign into that business account!!!!!! Can't pay from the other account either so what now?? You guys want my money in your bank but I can't access it to do transactions!!! This is ridiculous!! Don't even bother wasting another month of my time getting paperwork sent for nothing to happen. I'll have my accounts CLOSED and moved elsewhere before you get ANYTHING SORTED!!! I'm GATVOL getting nowhere with you guys. GOODBYE CAPITEC, IT'S BEEN HORRIBLE. I have been having issues with making online payments since I opened my business accounts. 1. OPT to confirm payments take AGES to come through so I have to keep requesting new ones as they keep expiring before I even receive them. Can sit and request new code for HOURS. Such a waste of my time as a business owner really! 2. Can't do payments between 00h00 - 07h00 in the mornings. When I try do payments for the 'same day' early in the morning it keeps saying change date to a future day (so it only goes off the next day unless I wait until after 7am to make a payment for the same day). As an entrepreneur I work odd hours and sometimes do my payments in the early hours which is when I have time to do so. Not being able to make payments whenever I need to, serious problem. 3. When payments are made INTO my account, I get an sms stating MINUS x amount has been deducted from my account. Some kind of glitch which I have reported months ago but it's still not sorted out.
I ordered some items online from the Best Bargain Auction WhatsApp Group who stated that customers can collect or send courier to collect the parcels. I told Cobus Heunis (he is in charge of invoicing and packing the orders) that I need the box size the very least to be able to book the courier, he said no problem, he will send the size shortly. Three days later I still haven't received the box size yet so I followed up with him and he said he is still looking for a box, will send me the size once he's found a box to put my goods in to send with the courier. Another 2 or 3 days go by and I followed up again. He then said I can wait until the next auction, see if I want to add something to the box then we can send all together without having to book multiple couriers. I said great, that is what I prefer yes, as long as they don't decide to put my stuff I paid for on auction again due to the stuff not being collected on time, because me not being able to book the courier wasn't my fault as I was still waiting on confirmation on the box size needed to book... Cobus then said no it's fine, they will keep it for me until after the next auction (which was supposed to happen the following Monday, but which they decided to cancel). Monday evening @ 23h00 Cobus tells me my goods have been standing there for 2 weeks (not true, bank statements show payments were made a mere week before) and the fact that I haven't been able to arrange courier, was still because I was WAITING ON HIM to confirm the size of the box I need to book for the courier to collect. Cobus told me that I have to arrange for packaging myself and that if my stuff is not collected by a certain time the following day, my goods will not be refunded. I told Cobus, instead of using one big box which they clearly don't have or can't make a plan, pack it into 2 or 3 boxes. Last he said he is looking for a box, and now he is making it my problem to arrange a box from so far away and if I can't make a plan, my goods will be kept and I will not be refunded for the items I bought from them, because they are not a packaging company. I told him, as they offer courier, they should be able to package the items bought any means neccessary. No store is a packaging company. But if you say you couriers can collect, you should be able to atleast package the items you are sending. Couriers only provide flyer bags (which obviously is not something glassware we ordered can be sent in, so they must make a plan and box it up. Even if they are not a packaging company, it should be part of their service since they say we can arrange courier to collect. I told him our couriers do not drive around with boxes of all sizes waiting for the items to be packaged. They also do not keep things like bubble wrap etc to protect items being sent. Packaging is the responsibility of the sender. How can they expect me to send a box and bubble wrap etc for the glassware I ordered from them? He expects me to book UBER to drive around, get my packaging and then go pickup from them. I told him that is absurd, doesn't make sense and I was not informed before hand they they do not package the items (even though all the previous times they boxed it and our couriers collected without fault). He said it is not their problem and that my stuff will be forfeited if not collected by end of the day. We had multiple conversations about getting my box sizes so I can book courier to pickup, then he drags with it for more than a week and then last minute tells me it's my problem, my a plan or forfeit your goods without a refund. They do not do refunds. They do not care about their customers, they do not communicate with you effectively or at all and if they do, their story changes from day to day. You must jump to make payment and arrange collection asap but when they can't make a plan for a box, they throw their hands in the air, make it your problem and pretend there were no arrangements and discussions about the order as they just ignored all previous discussions we had like it never happened. Like I didn't follow up multiple times. Like he didn't say he is looking for a box. Like it was always made clear that they do not package (even though he said he is looking for a box so he can me the measurements to book). Couriers do not package either. They are logistics, they transport boxes you give them. They don't box up the goods themselves. They are not moving companies. And even if they did, they can't say they are looking for a box will send measurements shortly and then days later say make a plan yourself and come and collect because your stuff has been here for days. When I told him well then cancel my order because that is not what was communicated to me MULTIPLE times before, they refused and said they DO NOT REFUND. I told them well then that it *****ing. If you are unwilling to box my goods so the courier can collect and are unwilling to then refund me for the goods that you are now forcing me to leave there and not be able to pickup. They don't care. These people have 0 customer service. They don't know how couriers operate. They make arrangements and say one thing one day and the next they completely turn on you and make it all your problem and if you can't make a plan quick enough, they keep your goods without a refund. They are ******. If they are not able or willing to box up the items ordered for items collected by couriers, they should clearly state that in their policies etc which they have not. Last they said they are looking for a box and will send me the measurements asap. Come a week later, they say I requested the size of the box so that I can make arrangements to get a box...I mean...seriously??? After Cobus told me they don't refund and any other arrangements I need to make, I can make with Andre Heunis. So I sent Andre messages about what is going on. What has been arranged and said. Again, he pretended that their hands are tied, they do not need to box the items, the courier can pick up the items loose if they want, but again, they will not refund. After that he said he is not reading any more of messages so I can stop wasting my time and he will now block me as he is being disturbed and time is money. That is all these guys care about. Money. Not you, the customer. These guys have absolutely NO customer service. They say its fine, we'll make a plan tomorrow and tomorrow they give you a deadline to make a plan yourself or your goods are theirs to keep as well as your money. BEWARE OF WHAT THEY SAY. Take screenshots of the conversations because they have an automatic timer that deletes messages after 24 hours. They will find a way for you not collect your goods in time so that they can keep your money and the goods which they can go and resell again. Do not buy from them unless you can collect yourself in Kameeldrift, Pretoria. If you want to buy from them from far, you need to book a MOVING COMPANY to go package themselves, not a courier like they say they can send with. Very few couriers provide boxes on collection of a parcel, they provide flyer bags and NO COURIER company provides packaging protection like bubble wrap, polystyrence fillers etc for fragile items, that is the responsibility of the Sender (Best Bargain Auctions) if they say you can book courier to collect, then they should atleast be able to box up the items at the very least. Bubble wrap glassware or wrap it in newspapers. Make a plan. Because you can't offer a service half way. If you aren't willing to box up, then don't say so (that you are looking for a box) and don't offer courier as an option. Self-collection only. They say they don't care in the slightest if I tell people about the horrible service, they don't need people to join their group and support their business. So here I am, sharing my horrible experience with these lazy guys just trying to make a quick buck with no regard for the customers they are serving. Also, Cobus said I should book courier to collect BETWEEN 3-5 pm. If the courier hasn't collected my goods, my items will be forfeited. 3h30 pm I get a disgruntled message from his asking me where the heck my courier is because he doesn't want to sit and wait there until 6pm...I mean seriously??? Can their service and his attitude get any worse???? Yes, it can! Around 8pm that evening Cobus sent me a message saying "See, if you need to, you can make a plan, no need for you to go whining like a baby". Be VERY WARY of these two!! They are pretenders. They are very FULL of themselves and have no disregard for their customers at all. Worst customer service skills experienced EVER. Horrible, shallow people you deal with, only in it for a quick buck, not in it to serve people.
Vanessa shared her 3 Month special with me and I asked her how often my ads will be posted because the info she sent was very contradictory. In the message it stated advertising will be done on a weekly basis, but further down in the same message it stated advertising will be done accross Facebook daily. So I asked her "where on Facebook will it be posted, as accross Facebook means multiple places, not just her own Facebook page". Her response "Hi, unfortunately I don't exactly where as that would be giving my business away"... I mean, seriously? How are you "giving your business away" by sharing with your client (who is paying for the service), where you will be posting THEIR adverti*****ts? She didn't even reply to the other question of how often as I pointed out her info is unclear and contradictory...she just blocked me. No legit businessive will be so unclear and operate the way she did. Stay away from this "business".
SELLER EXPERIENCE. Takealot is the ABSOLUTE WORST PLATFORM any seller could EVER decide to use. Literally from my very First shipment, there has been issues with Takealot. Example: TAKEALOT HAS ABSOLUTE 0 SELLER SUPPORT. They have tons of people sitting by the phones to "support" but no one has a clue what they are doing. Everyone always has to check with another member on a group chat to find out how to deal with a query and half the time, they direct you in the wrong direction. All they do is "send your query to the relevant department" and from there any issues takes a minimum of 2-4 weeks to get sorted (if at all). Should your query be related to a Removal Order (don't even bother getting it sorted out before your stock is destroyed), so even if the issue was on their side, you still have to take the knock, and get your stock out of there because they are not able to sort through issues before your collection deadline. Their handling fees on small items are way to high @ R 25, meaning if you sell a product for R 50, half is handling fees, and anther 15% success fee, doesn't leave any room for making profit on small items. Takealot has strict SLAs which YOU AS SELLER have to abide by, but they are unable to deal with queries in time for your stock to be destroyed. Takealot takes so much of your profit, you constantly have issues on their side which you just have to accept the losses that comes with it. ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! And there's no thing like "Talking to Management" to really get it escalated. You're just number 20 000 in the queue and have to wait your turn. Stock sitting there waiting to be collected but a ticket or 5 is still pending on it. Takealot doesn't have procedures in place to deal with queries. Seller support is absolute lost and no idea how to truely assist. They are a CONSTANT HEADACHE. You do everything in your power to operate according to their SLA (service level agreement) but they ARE INCAPABLE of doing the same!!!!! NIGHTMARE!!!!!! "Our company is built around the simple concept that the customer comes first"...... AND THE SELLER COMES LASTS! If you are a small business owner, hoping to make a living selling online...on Takealot....YOU ARE WARNED!
The most useless and incompetent bunch of idiots on the PLANET! I have been trying for two months to access my PayPal funds. I have sent them about 10 emails with my proof of residence. They don't accept a declaration/ affidavit certified at the Police station. So after about a month of back and forth and complaints a consultant finally phones me and tells me to go to my bank (Capitec), get a letter with my address on it and have it stamped at the bank (that counts as their I then do that and send it to them, however they replied with the exact same email they sent the last 3 times stating I have to resend all the documents certied. But all the documents I sent 10 times and uploaded on their system was certied. No matter what I do, they keep sending me in circles over and over and over again and again and again. This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND FRUSTRATING!!!! When I finally got hold of a consultant again (because you stay on the line forever), I just broke down and cried because I am SO FED UP and worked up about this. It's like a never ending rollercoaster. That something as simple as a proof of residence can have people so dumbstruck. It's appalling. They make you feel so HELPLESS. ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!
