I really wish I could leave Fedhealth medical aid! If you are not on it yet, stay away. They are so grand, but the one thing that I really need, they cannot do: Just pay my claims! Why is that so difficult? To try and get hold of anybody at Fedhealth is like trying to place a landline call to the moon! The phone keeps ringing, their website robot cannot answer my question, their WhatsApp robot gives me a menu that is not applicable and the live chat is not working. Oh, and before you ask, yes I sent a mail - several actually - and got two answers of which neither makes sense. Can we just get back to the good old days when you could pick up the phone, get a human on the other side and sort out the problem in 5 minutes.
I am totally shocked now. My mother is on Dotsure's Superior Plan and pays R634.80 per month. She just had her female dog sterilized, on schedule as per the veterinarian's instructions. The bill was almost R4000, as expected. Dotsure paid out a full R611! When I queried this, they told me a sterilization is part of "routine wellness" like vaccinations and deworming. What a load of nonsense! We have a huge problem in South Africa with unsterilized dogs, and in some municipalities there is a bylaw now that forces you to sterilize female dogs (which is wonderful). A sterilization is not "routine wellness"! It is a necessary procedure. There are so many NPOs who are working very hard to try and get unwanted breeding under control and this is the support we get from insurers??? They are obviously more interested in making money than being part of the solution to a very real problem. We are definitely going to stop this policy! If you are considering Dotsure - read the fine print. Terrible.
I work very long hours, so I normally use Clicks online. We live in a rural area, so I have to drive 25 min to get to Clicks Swellendam to pick up my parcel. This evening when I got home, I opened the parcel, to discover that 8 ITEMS to the value of more than R800 are missing! They are all small, so I am pretty sure they are in the possession of someone who did not pay for them. Apart from *****ing my stuff, Clicks is also wasting my time. Will not use this service again.
I placed an order at a company who unfortunately uses Bex Express as their couriers. The staff at Bex **** to both me and the company were I placed the order more than once. If you are a business, please choose reliable couriers! Bex is extremely unreliable.
MTN is totally *********! They increased our one cell phone contract from R300 to R1800 overnight without any warning! When we enquired at the Swellendam branch now, they had a lot of stories. Basically they are just plain dishonest. Do not sign a contract with this company!
Please don't use Exclusive Books Online! I bought a digital voucher for a friend, specifically because I wanted something that will be sent to her immediately. I received an order confirmation to say that it will be delivered to my house in 5 working days! Really, how stupid can you be? No email response, no answer on any of the phone numbers on their website. So no money and no gift. Horrid! Will not touch this franchise again!
Be very, very careful when you deal with FNB! They just tried to pull something on me that borders on ********* behaviour. In 2022, I took out a home loan with them. (FYI, I have been banking with these people since Noah landed with the ark.) The offered me a certain "discount" on the repro rate. Included in the original deal, was a "future use" amount, for which I just app**** in order to do some renovations. When the quotation came back now, they reduced the "discount" by more than two thirds. I thought it was a bit greedy, but that is what banks do. What is incredibly shocking though, is that I discovered, while reading the fine print, that the increased interest rate will now apply to my full loan - i.e. the original capital amount that I signed up for 2 years ago plus the additional capital amount! In effect this means that the extra interest you pay for a small additional capital amount is totally out of proportion. I wonder how many people just sign a quotation without reading the fine print. FNB must make millions with this little trick. So be warned - read everything before you sign anything, because FNB will definitely do a number on you if you let them.
I am pulling my hair out over here. I am being harassed over and over again by Vodacom, because apparently it is one of the seven deadly sins if you decide to not upgrade when the computer decides it's time. How many times I have asked agents to stop calling me, but no, they keep coming back. And the last few were quite aggressive when I told them to leave me alone. It is a free country (in theory anyway)! If I don't want to talk about upgrades, I don't have to explain myself! I phoned Vodacom out of desperation now, and after almost 12 minutes, I was promised that it won't happen again. Pffft, I will believe it if I see it. LEAVE ME ALONE VODACOM! I will upgrade when and how I choose to do it.
Please stay away from these people!! I spoke to an extremely disrespectful man named Michael, who threw the phone down in my ear several times. He started a job and could not finish it, then blamed it on the fact that he needs the car's owner's manual and eventually left our son stranded. Every time I confronted him, he had another excuse or threw the phone down. Oh, and this is after we paid him almost R3000 for a petrol pump for which we did not get an official invoice, and which is now useless. Do not use these people!
I am extremely disappointed in Senqu Online. I am trying my best to support local brands, and was always a stern supporter of Senqu clothing. The online team, however, clearly do not care about their brand or take pride in their work. I placed an order on 24 September, including items for a friend's birthday on 11 Oct. First, they took forever to get the order to me, and then, when I opened the package, the wrong size of one of the items was packed! I mean, really, how difficult is it to pack the correct size of 4 items into a parcel? It is now more than 3 weeks after I placed the order, and I still do not have the correct item, so there goes the present. :-( This is a lovely brand with lovely clothing, but the staff of their online department is a huge stumbling block for the company.
