We bought a brand new Dell laptop that is faulty. Now Evetech is saying a Dell technician needs to come out to repair it and it will take 15 days. I bought a new machine and the machine came faulty from the manufacturer and should be replaced with a new one.
LAM sells direct flights at high prices, and then 1 week before you fly, they change your flight to fly via other airports with long stop overs. This constitutes fraud! We booked an expensive direct flight from Johannesburg to Vilanculos and then 1 week before we are supposed to fly, they change our flight with no explanation, or refund for the difference in fair. Thieves! When you speak to the locals, they say LAM does it all the time.
I took my sons 2019 KTM to TRAX KTM. The engine had seized, however they called to say the pistons and rings were fine and that the Conrod needed to be replaced. They gave me a quote for R 20k and I had to pay 70% up front. Only once they received my money did they tell me that they don't have the parts and it will have to be imported which will take 4 weeks. One of the best selling KTM's and a simple gasket has to be imported from Austria?! When I asked them for the part number so I can try to source the part myself they told me I can't.
We took our Hyundai H100 to Hyundai Midrand because it was making a knocking sound by the exhaust. 6th of Feb- I was told that the exhaust, and rocker arms are broken. It will cots approximately R12 00 to repair plus R2 500 for the service We went to Hyundai on the 7th. It was not ready. I phoned for updates. First I was told the head might need to be replaced. A few days later I phoned and was told the head does not need to be replaced. 14 February – spoke to Stephan Cooper the Service Manager, he said that there is no need to take the head off, when the rocker broke a piece went into the valve, that’s what kept the valve open. He said the bakkie would be ready on Friday the 15th, if not Friday then Monday the 18th and the cost would be +- R 15,000.00. 18 Feb-( please see e-mai)l Stephan said the head does need to be stripped and it would cost approximately R15 000. "Good day We have done all we can on the bakkie however we have to strip the head off in order to inspect the bore and pistons with the head seeing that there is still a noise present in the engine, I can’t give you an exact figure as yet but you can work on a +- off R15 000.00. Stephan Cooper Workshop Manager Group1 Hyundai Midrand 450 16th Road Midrand T ********** 678 C ********** 1 March, I spoke to Stephan he said the that the head amongst other things would need to be replaced and would cost approximately R30 000. FNB was supposed to deliver a parcel using Ram Couriers. I was told it would be delivered to my house yesterday, so I made sure I was working from home in order to receive the parcel. At 16h30 someone calls and says they won't be able to deliver and they need to reschedule. So I made sure I was at the house today, but decided to track the parcel, only to find that the driver of the previous day said that he tried to contact me 3 times, even though I had no voicemails or missed calls, but even worse though, was the fact that there was no delivery booked for today either. When I called their Pretoria office and spoke to their "manager" William, he first said that they couldn't find my road. When I asked if he had a cell phone with Google Maps, I would show him how easy it is to find my road, he said the drivers DON'T HAVE GPS'S in their vehicles. Then he decided to put the blame on me, saying they tried 3 times to call me. He then assured me the parcel would be delivered today. I asked him to please ensure that the driver phones me, or phone him before he leaves my property to ensure that I receive it today. It is 19h00, and no one called or came to my door. Surprise, surprise, when I went to track my parcel on their site, they said they again couldn't get hold of me, even though there are no missed calls, or voicemails, and no one rang the door bell. Do yourselves a favour, and stick with reputable companies. I can't believe FNB would choose to partner with such incompetent companies.
