They ask you to review products. When you share the truth about products that are even imported and would like to help people understand what they will have to do when they receive the goods because it's not compatible with our products or possible faults that can come with the products, they reject your review. This is purely unprofessional and ****ming because you want people to buy stuff regardless of the defaults or issues it might have that could save other people money and rather go buy stuff from our local suppliers. Takealot is very pathetic in their review approval and people should do proper investigation before they purchase things from them. I have seen a LOT of bad reviews for this exact issue and "If people only knew before they bought" is what everyone is saying. Well, that's Takealot for you, hey only care about making sales and not letting people review products with truth and transparency. Be careful when you buy stuff from them without proper confirmation/investigation of the product, especially electrical stuff. People have the right to know and make their own decision based on other peoples experience. If I knew before my purchase what I know now about the product, I would not have bought the product to begin with.
I can attest to the bad reviews of this business. I placed an order 2 weeks ago and made the payment after the website showed that they had the items in stock. My order is small and urgent. They are "apparently" in Randburg, Johannesburg and I am in Pretoria....should not take longer than 2-3 working days to deliver my order. I made numerous attempts to contact them on 4 different numbers. At one time I got told my parts are not there (then how does the website even show you have stock if you don't) and the second time I was told "customer care should have made contact with me which they didn't, I don't even know if "customer care" exists. Clearly these people are ****ming people out of their money and nobody is doing anything about this. I will open a case of ***** and contact the necessary "people/organizations" who deals with companies like this to stop them from doing business and get them to be investigated. Their website should be taken down. All the almost 500 negative vs 23 positive reviews will give a very good case for the bad service they give and *****ulent business they do. They don't have ANY means of communication or interest to their customers. It's time for this to STOP.
This website is an online vehicle check up system to give you vehicle reports. I paid the R99 for a VIN check up on my vehicle. They have a sample for the type of report you should get. I got a half empty report. They did not give a full report as per their sample. My advice, do NOT make use of them, they clearly don't have a great system as you would expect them to have even when you pay for a service. You can get MUCH better service to contact the car manufacturer and ask to check on the system. I wonder if I will get a refund just to test their customer loyalty.
So I took out a 5G package with Afrihost after cancelling my 4G LTE package due to ridiculous latency issues in the late night into early morning hours. Yeah I do overseas work hence I work such hours. As to my expectancy the same issue is still persisting and thus with a new package, upgraded to 5G and I even move to a different location. I made contact with their support and we exchange emails and I gave them all the information they requested, Final result as per the same ridiculous excuse they always used before "They could not find any abnormalities" and there might be an influx of people connected to the towers. Fact of the matter is, this happens every night after 22:00pm and into early morning hours sometimes all the way through to 07:00am. Most people are sleeping how can you tell my this is normal Afrihost? So the final result is, I must pay R950 pm for a product that does not satisfy me at all because you can't resolve the issue and don't care to assist. This is not even FUP, my latency instantly goes from 20ms to 40ms with mad spikes. Unfortunately I don't have access to fiber, but this **** is not on. You deceiving your customers and we must just pay and accept.
They really are as pathetic as people claim they are. I cancelled my service with them since I sold my property and served them my 30day notice which they accepted and told me they would come and take out the radio within the next 30 days. 40 days went by and voila, another debit order went off. I gave them a call and the lady was ***********. She asked me if I can cancel the debit order on my side....I mean ***??? First of all, this is YOUR responsibility to cancel my debit order within the 30 day notice. Secondly, I pay banking fees to cancel a debit order. I asked the lady to schedule a refund for the ******** debit order and she was again, very ***********. I did not get any refund and till today they never came to take out their radio. They barely have any patrol vehicles in my area in Roodepoort and yes, tested them and it took them ages to arrive. ADT was the best by far and I will always recommend ADT. If I get a second ******** debit going off, they will surely hear from my lawyer. PLEASE, to anyone who want to make use of their service, THINK TWICE. I will NEVER recommend them to any person.
At first I wanted to give only 1 star, but lets leave it at 2. I don't like to give bad reviews, but I don't like it when I am being treated unfairly and I paid the price. I paid for a Kaspersky license for 5 devices 1 year, but when the company had send me the online key, it was only for 1 device 1 year. I had to ask to rectify this and I then received another key for but for 3 devices 1 year. Now I have 4 devices for 1 year on 2 different packages and still 1 device outstanding. The whole idea was to keep all my 5 devices on 1 license/package. Clearly this company has no control over the digital packages/keys they sell and they just randomly send you the license keys without really knowing what they are sending you. I had to renew my actual Kaspersky on the My Kaspersky website having to pay what I tried to avoid so I can keep all my devices under 1 license. I don't care how cheap this company might be or even if they want to make up for this mistake in any form, I have never had such bad service from any online digital retail store. I was even willing to pay for the extra license if they would've only send me an additional 5 devices key since you don't get a 4 devices key. Communication is bad. I would not recommend them I am STILL waiting on my last license key since I paid for 5 devices and only received for 4 devices.
So I got retrenched 2 months ago and I had my Home Loan Insurance company to cover my home loan for a set period of time due to the Retrenchment Benefit I took out on the policy. They made payment to Standard bank and I did send all the needed documentation through to Standard and spoke to their consultants for probably 4 times ensuring me that my debit order will not go off since Standard Bank already received payment from my insurance company. I have spent about R200-R300 of airtime on this little thing. To my surprise my debit order still went off. I requested a refund since I don't earn a salary and got bills to pay and my Insurance company is assisting me with payments. I now received a message to state my refund request had been declined. This is absolute rubbish. Now that you guys have a double payment and taking my money AFTER I dealt with your consultants to ensure my debit order does not go off, you still debited my account and I now have trouble to pay my other bills and services. You guys are really pathetic and incompetent when it comes to services involving clients money. Easy to take but impossible to kindly return what is owed to your clients. This is the LAST time I will deal with STD Bank and my home loan. Rather move my home loan over to another bank. I now have to swim deep waters because STD BANK kicked me off the boat. If ANY of my services get cut due to your negligence trust me I will approach my lawyer.
I have submit a claim for retrenchment assistance I have with my home loan policy. I have sent through all documents requested from the consultant. This was done end of last month. Since then I have not receive a single email or phone call correspondence to update me on the outcome. I have since sent 2 emails and I have called twice with both calls having the matter escalated. It is now almost a month since I submitted the documents and I still have not received any meaning of communication from Metropolitan. I need to make planning for my monthly expenses since I am retrenched and yet I don't know what is happening with my claim to assist me with my home loan. I am desperate for any assistance yet you guys keep me in the dark and I can't do proper planning. You guys are really pathetic and unprofessional. I should've never signed up with you guys instead I should've gone with the other company whom offered me a better package. Going big and cheap is clearly not always the best choice. I will definitely cancel my package that I have been paying for years now but yet you can't even do a simple thing like communicate with your clients.
Having a 4G LTE package I have been trying to find out WHY am I experiencing +40Mbps download and Upload during the day all day, but when it comes to the evening from about 20:00pm my download speed goes down all the to 1-4Mbps. For WEEKS I have been asking Afrihost and MTN to know why this is happening and if they are throttling me above and beyond the "Fair usage" policy which they denied. Even if the towers are busy at peak times, why do I lose 90-95% of my download speed, but remain 100% upload speed? Maybe if I was reduced by 50% download speed that could still be acceptable as fair usage, but come on, 90-95%...really guys? I can barely do anything. And NO ONE can solve this issue now for WEEKS. Why do I pay R600pm for LTE and I can't enjoy proper internet speed at night? I can't even do my Zoom or Teams meetings, because the download speed is more than useless at night. If only I had fiber in my area, but I don't...and not to mention I have full strength 4G ALL THE TIME.....this is absurd and just ridiculous.
Useless, pathetic, full of empty promises just like any other political party. All they care about is their own interest and getting government checks and perks....following the footsteps of the ANC, EFF and DA. There is NO political party in South Africa who actually fights for the people and their rights. Will never ever vote for any party in this country ever again. SA is a ticking time bomb....just wait and see when that bomb goes off what this country will turn into...especially since all the years they have been hiding the truth from the world outside of SA borders and claiming all their innocence. Be warned, your reward is waiting for all of you false and unrighteous people.
