Boxer superstores are robbing you. Yesterday my husband bought 4kg Russians for R150. The bag was filled with so much ice which made us doubt there was actually 4 kgs of Russians in the bag. So we did a weigh in and there was only 3.5kg of Russians and 500g of ice. So this entire process was done whilst I recorded and I've contacted Boxer support and sent through all these videos and pictures yet their customer support sucks. Their support agents keep closing my ticket yet they claim they have escalated it. An entire business day has gone yet no1 is even bothered. They have done the wrong but expect me to go into the store to return. Why should I be inconvenienced further? I've asked simply give me my half kg Russians or the discounted price for what isn't there. I've also challenged that every bag of Russians is the same weight short of half at their store because all was filled with so much ice like the bag my husband bought. I am appalled and fuming at this insult. Boxer is such a large store yet they don't give a damn about their customers. Boxer Superstores
I have a boxer ecoupon for R50 which I'd earned from my previous purchase. Yesterday I sent my son to buy bread and milk with that coupon, which is still valid until the 22nd of Sept. My son was told the coupon is not working on the system today, so they won't be able to do anything. My child was sent away. It is disgusting how such a huge proclaimed superstore could not even honor a R50 coupon. Why even give these promotional coupons if you treat your loyal customers like this?
I purchased a phone for R699 and paxi delivered a blocked phone with receipt R599. I've called, emailed, send messages for them to call me and logged in a complaint with support yet still no feedback. It's like their support is non existant unless you have airtime to throw away by waiting in ques only for them to hang up on you after mins of relaying your story. Very frustrating and and fishy this pep cell is. Just imagine for those uneducated people purchasing a phone who doesn't understand network locked and all these banking app info. Pepcell must be robbing thousands of people like me and getting away with it. What was to be a happy experience for me has turned into a stressful time. I am both disappointed and disgusted by how I am being treated as a customer. This will be my first and last purchase via pep cell.
Update : it's been 5 weeks. Takealot still does not reply to my emails or escalated tickets they have created. There is no mention of when they would give me my money back. So Takealot has the fan and all it's contents aswell as my money. They make tickets saying it will be resolved but bit a single of those tickets have been resolved or once responded to. Takealot are thrives Beware!!! Purchased a solar fan from them earlier this year. It was defective so I returned it. Supplier was out of stock so I was credited. Purchased the second 1 where the battery was burning whilst on charge. They stole the solar panel. 3 weeks have gone. Takealot refuses to return my money or send my replacement fan. Obviously the driver or someone at their evaluation center has ****** it. I've asked for details to open charges of theft but takealot keeps opening tickets to which they escalate and say it will be resolved within a few hrs but then ghost me. Absolutely disappointed as I have supported them since their launch. Either they doing this to deny me my rights to return or they just plain *******. I will never buy anything again from them. This is stressful enough. From 6th June until now 29th I haven't received the money and I have to keep buying airtime to call them. Pathetic and ************ behavior.
Beware!!!!! Telkom sucks!!! I have a contract on telkom and each time I go online telkom automatically subscribes me to these annoying things that cost R3per day! I called into telkom a few days ago to have these annoying subscriptions be blocked on my profile and the telkom agent said it was done then the very next morning I was automatically subscribed to 3 subscriptions. I called in again and this time the stupid agent tells me that telkom not subscribing me I am going and clicking subscribe to these channels. She asked me to cancel all subscriptions under the telkom portal and that would be it but no such thing exists on my profile page. She also said she had canceled the last subscription that came into my profile but I never got the sms to confirm so I went onto the telkom portal and there it was I was still subscribed to it. Unhappily I unsubscribed and put in a request for telkom to call me back. This morning I was automatically subscribed to 8 channels. As I got the first subscription notification I went into the portal to unsubscribe and as I am unsubscribing I got notification sms's 1 after the other subscribing me to all this ****. This is absolute madness!!!! I have been using telkom over 8 years and have never experienced this before I got my lte sim on contract. If I don't see the sms and unsubscribe then I would be charged R3 per day. Utter ******** and daylight robbery. Becareful and think twice before taking out a contract with Telkom
Vodacom doesn't want new customers. I made the mistake of taking out a phone contract with Vodacom 4 weeks ago. Because I had never had a phone contract before i never knew how this worked. I took out a phone contract online then an hour later took out another contract for my husband. Everything got done super fast it was confirmed ect then the 1 phone was cancelled it had flagged as fraud because I'd taken out 2 seperate contracts so I spent a week communicating with Vodacom support agents. Since i wasn't on their network I had to go out and get a sim specifically to call as they were not calling me back. So an entire week passed then the agent cancelled my 2 single phone contracts and made a double phone contract for me. I did qualify for it ect but then the confirmation came for 1 single phone which was cancelled already. I asked if that could be changed into the double deal amd was told no. Then the phone was sent to ram couriers. For 3 days the driver drove around with the phone in the van saying at the end of each day on the track your package website i was not available and address not found yet I had spent absorbent amounts of airtime to call each day ram call center aswell as the driver himself who gave me excuses and lies. 3 weeks passed by then the agent that did the double contract for me said I've been declined I can't get a contract but I had already been notified by ram that they would deliver the phone that day. She said it was a technical error she didn't know how but I'm not even supposed to get that phone. So I was under the impression I've been declined so i cant accept the phone. Then I went to take out a contract on another network i was upset Vodacom had wasted my time. Then Vodacom agent the next day said no i haven't been declined that phone is for me I can take it from ram so i put a hold on the other network contract and accepted that single phone. The phone was overheating and battery was bad so 2nd day I called in to return it. Very quickly ram courier called me and came to pick up in under 10 mins. Even though the guy was using uniform he said his van was parked at the bottom of my road. Because I didnt get any notifications of them recieving it I called voda and ram. No1 knew anything. I was frantic. Next day an agent did a conference call she demanded ram call me because they said they couldn't get in touch with the courier guy who came to me he wasn't answering his phone. Ram never called 4 days passed. I was tortured thinking of what could have happened. Vodacom were quick to debit my bank but refused to give me information about my own account. When the phone was faulty they said return it and wait 3 days we'll give u another contract so I had to wait for the phone to be returned and that contract to be cancelled first. Then Vodacom blocked my number from calling any of their numbers. It said I've called too many times. I was outraged because I was sent sms and emails everyday asking me to call these numbers and how can voda support block for calling too many times this is freaken madness. Then the next day i was told my contract has been cancelled. No message or anything always me calling in or emailing for help. I proceeded to take out another contract sent in my info but now ive been declined. How is this possible well with every time u take out a contract with Vodacom and go through vetting ur credit amount decreases. Meaning I cannot take out a contract on any network. Now I've gone into the voda store they tried also and its declined now ive been told i must wait 90 days to take out a contract. My phone is how I earn my bread and butter. I was assaulted and robbed of my phone I've literally begged the voda staff right from the beginning i said I can take out with another network if it will take too long and they promised it would be quick and in 3 days I'd have my phone. I dont have anything on credit i dont have any accounts and now my credit is ruined because of this and I don't even have a phone. Whats worse is voda says its a technical error they can't do anything. It doesn't make sense if a new customer takes out a contract with Vodacom and the phone is faulty that the phone would be returned and then the customer has to wait 3 months to take out a contract again. What world is voda living in for real? We are ppl we make mistakes yes I had made the initial mistake of getting 2 single phone contracts because I didnt know about the double phone contracts but the other applications was done by the agents. If I couldn't qualify after returning the phone that means voda is holding me responsible for returning a bad phone. Vodacom doesn't make any sense and their way of working and rules ect doesn't make any sense at all. It is clear they are too full of themselves and dont want new customers. A months has gone by and still i am without a phone but im in a worse of situation now because i dont qualify for any contract now aswell as i haven't earned any money in this month of waiting for a phone. No1 should have to go through this. No1 deserves to be treated this way. It is us humans that makes and programs the computers so why cant voda clear the errors and pass my application??? Its because they dont care they think they are doing well and have no interest in maintaing customer relationships. I will be reporting this to the consumer council aswell. I also want to mention because of the trauma I'd just gone through Ive been sitting everyday on the phpne with Vodacom for this phone and 1 of the agents was also very rude to me and made me cry. Emotionally this has added to my pain and I've also shared with other agents and pleaded for assistance. I did speak to many great agents and I don't hold them responsible for voda laws and terms ect. What I think is ridiculous is that there is no person working at Voda that matters like these can be escalated to where a Human can edit the system and get the mess cleared. That is super disappointing and if you're looking for a network where u can turn to them if ever encounter a problem then don't look at Vodacom please. They will block you from contacting voda call centers if they feel u have called too many times. And u wont even know when that would be because no1 knows just how many calls Vodacom will tolerate from their customers.
I was called in by the owner Muhammed Ameer for a refund and we were ambushed by the staff. Both my husband and I were assaulted. They then snatched my phone away from me. They tried to shove us out the store I refused to leave without my phone They called police and said we were caught shoplifting and a whole bunch of lies. Denied I'd brought in the meat or that they knew me. We have been to police station, hospital and still running around while they are sleeping peacefully. Very rubbish people who will go to any extent not to refund money for the rubbish they are selling. Absolutely disgusting as a halaal Muslim owned butchery because first they sold me discolored dried out sheep after complaining I went to return it and was asked to pay more for lamb which I did but then my lamb was intentionally contaminated by them because I had complained. After my posts on Fb which was where I had seen the ad and responded the owner assured me he would refund me as well as pay my transportation costs but all this was a plot to get me at the shop. They lay waiting ready to ambush us. Filthy rogues the entire lot of them. Not even fit my 1 star rating. Muhammed Ameer karma will get you. God sees all.
Today was such a wonderful day for us we decided to treat my child who'd come 3rd in the country for the national science Olympiad 2021. So we purchased some cakes and snacks to give him a small party. The cakes were marked managers special at R8.99. It was very cheap so I checked the expiry date which was the 11/12/21 that's when I took it. At home I'd let the kids set up the table and help themselves and only my eldest 2 sons 12 and 10 noticed the foul smell and spat it out. My baby ate the cake unaware of that before my son had called me to come check them and I was too late at this point. My anger at this shoprite store and the damn audacity to sell rotten food stuff that can put my childrens lives in danger! The thought of it right now still makes my blood boil. We work so very hard for our kids and we don't have money to buy those big expensive cakes ect so we looked for some treats that we could afford. We are human beings. I wouldn't even feed my dogs that **** yet shoprite is selling it to their loyal customers. How greedy can shoprite be really? They marked it managers special is that the **** shoprite managers are dishing out or are they also subjected to this? Whatever the case I am disgusted and want answers as to how this could happen. I usually have to check everything before my kids eat them because of this store. I also have to double check my slip to see they haven't robbed me. This time due to covid we haven't purchased much for the kids and I'd let them have their own party for 3 which is why I'd let them open and help themselves. There is no trust with shoprite. It is right next to me which is why it's most convenient however shopping here is more of a burden and stress than anything else. I've tried to complain via the shoprite app which is useless as there is an error and their call center is closed!
I have been angry since yesterday after this incident occurred and couldn't sleep thinking about this matter. I am disgusted at the fact that boxer superstore doesn't care for my pain and turmoil caused by my visit to their store. I have yet to receive feedback from them. So yesterday my husband and I went to the store. At the entrance I sanitized and walked in my husband was right behind me, a few moments later I looked back to see him standing by the security guard. The guard was sanitizing other ppl. It was quiet there were 2 women who then came up to him. The guard turned away from my husband to sanitize those 2 women. I asked my husband what's wrong? To which he responded I don't know I'm waiting to get sanitized. At this point my husband approached the guard once more who to my horror looked at my husband's hands outstretched and turned his back on him to then go sanitize a woman who was approaching. After the woman was done my husband once again went in front of the guard to sanitize and yet again he looked at my husband and turned away. The guard did this 3 times as I watched confused. Then I walked up to where my husband was standing which was right next to the guard and asked what's going on why won't u sanitize? The guard looked at me and had a blank look in his eyes just turned away and then sprayed another woman. I then said out loud to the guard I am going to complain about this right now and walked away to find a manager. My husband stayed there next to the guard. I found a manager from the bakery who was right there by the entrance at the first till. I asked if he could get me a store manager to which he said there is no store manager there now. I went on to explain what had happened. The cashier at the till was talking in Zulu and laughing with the bakery manager as I stood there seething waiting for him to say something to me. At this point my husband came to me and said leave it they don't care and won't do anything about it u r wasting your time. I asked for the bakery managers name which he wrote on a cash slip paper and gave me. We went about our shopping when I was at the butchery I noticed the bakery manager was talking to the guard who was showing some signs of where we were standing. At the till. When we went to pay the bakery manager came to me to say he spoke to the guard and he saw the video footage of what happened and he called the store manager who said the next day they will give a verbal warning to the guard. I don't know how this man was able to do all this in the short time we were at the store because my husband said let's just get a few things and go downstairs to shoprite so we did not complete our shopping in that store after that. This got to us emotionally for we were the only Indians at the store at that time and it definitely seemed this guard had a racist vendetta towards us. After we came home my husband said to me I wasted my time complaining the guard had refused to sanitize him when I'd said I am going to complain and left and he had an argument. To know even after I'd complained this could happens angers me further for this guard doesn't care at all about how his actions has effected us. The indignity of it all. In times like this when we are forced to sanitize before entering a store when so much is on our plates to be petty to come to such low blows and stand out because of what race we are is absolutely pathetic and for the boxer superstores management to care nothing about its customers makes us feel like we don't matter. Our lives don't matter. And this is a place we visit daily as we are living right next to it. So it is a place we will support as it is easily accessible to us. I still have so much anger to vent but nowhere to direct it to. Our boxer has no landlines number but a whatsapp number to contact them by. Previously they respond very quickly when customers need to complain about products but I've complained about this incident and had no feedback from them hence me sharing my experience here. We r human beings we deserve to be treated with respect to be vehemently denied sanitization due to and I say this again there is no reason other than the guard being a racist for him to have acted in the manner he did. There is no sense to it so no I am not making things worse than they seem in Berea we go through abuse due to racism a lot. Most of the time it's from cashiers and at the stores, This is something we are used to. just I don't expect a ****** freaking guard to be so high on his mighty horse to look down upon us and be treated like we were. When I was speaking to the bakery manager he was at the till. Before he could reply me the cashier was having a conversation with him in Zulu laughing as she did. If u don't understand a language and someone speaks it knowing u don't understand and laughs and mocks you then u will know despite understanding what was said u will still know. I'm tired of this ****.
A nightmarish experience. What a horrible start to our new year. I'd purchases peri peri biltong for R100 from my food lovers market just like I do every year. It's one of the things we have every new years eve. Being Indian we consume a lot of chilli Laced food but this was something completely unimaginable. The weird thing was we were able to eat some of the biltong sticks. The heat didn't catch up until halfway through a stick and when it did the searing burning sensation was the most horrible thing imaginable. My kids suffered for hours. I myself suffered for 2 hours. We tried everything milk, ice-cream nothing worked. Everyone's mouths was on fire. That was not the end of it. Just as searing as it went in we suffered just as much as it exited our bodies. For hours afterwards we suffered unable to walk or stand or sit comfortably. We had to wash with cold water and lay until the burning stopped. My anger at food lovers to sell this product without having tasted it, my frustration as I am unwilling to spend anymore money to go throw it in their faces and demand a refund this entire ordeal is not easy to forget and will live with us for a very long time. Every1 thought they could handle the heat so many ppl tried it. Nasty thing was worse than lava sauce. Just half stick in the burning got me then it just grew stronger no matter what I tried to drink to cool my burning mouth. I wanted this new years celebration to be just like every year before this for My kids since 2020 was such a struggle all my hopes were shattered with this disastrous product and my babies couldn't enjoy any of the treats I'd got them after that. We pushed through so much just to make this for them and all our efforts and money has gone to waste. This is the store 2 mins away from my home a store I visit frequently biltong being one of the things I buy on all my visits. I cannot express how upset I am this has deeply effected us all. We are still suffering with burning diarrhea. I am certain everyone else that has purchased this product would be in the same situation as well. We entered the new year miserable and I can never forgive myself for paying for this misery and suffering.
