Thank you Ms Amanda Kinnear for your excellent service. Updating me throughout the process and going back to negotiate the best interest rate instead of convincing me to just accept what I got. This was the second time using Ooba and I will definitely using it in future.
I lodged a claim with Discovery on the 9th and was advised an assessor will come, assessor called only to find out they booked someone in Durban. I sent the agent responsible countless emails asking for feedback and notifying them about the assessor. Todate I haven’t heard anything from Discovery just silence. I also had an issue with my premium being increased twice in December and again in January I called the last person I spoke to said they will escalate my matter and the manager will call me that was early March till today they haven’t call still deducting more than they supposed to. It is quite sad coz I was really advocating for Discovery and I have numerous products with them which is something I am reconsidering at this point.

I have been calling since August to have this contract cancelled and I made it clear when it comes to an end it must be cancelled, I called again early October to find out if it was cancelled and the lady I spoke to said yes it was converted to prepaid and you guys kept debiting my account. Note I will not pay a cent on this account as I cancelled on time and you guys didn’t do what you supposed to on your side. You know how long I had to hold every single time I called only to be told it will be cancelled now, You are going to cancel this contract on the date it has come to an end as per my request and no debiting will happen I paid what I had to pay in October and no cent further note that I will be taking this matter further to ICASA and the NCC if this is not fixed as per my request. I am tired of your nonsense every time I cancel a contract with you guys it has be to accompanied with stories and you just never follow a simple instruction cancel the damn contract when it ends…..SIMPLE. I do not accept my contract ending on 27 November when i requested it to end earlier when it comes to an end. My last payment was supposed to be October and you got that.
Yesterday I called Standard Bank concerning my home loan which I have had for 5 years already. The home loan is approved for 30 years. I wanted to reduce the term intending to reduce it to 15 years. I asked them if this can be done and they said yes I can reduce my term but to my surprise they are not willing to resolute the interest rate which to me is a load of bull. The interest rate is linked to risk amongst other things and obviously me decreasing the term should lower the risk on their side. I am not a bad payer never missed any payments on any loan in my life but yet Standard bank doesn’t care about all that. They will rather let you switch to another bank than retain their clients but just reducing their interest rate. Standard bank doesn’t care about their clients they are just happy taking your money.
Think having a banker will assist in getting better interest rate and better service, think again not with standard bank. I have banked with standardbank since 2013 financed my house with them and now applied for car finance despite the fact that i had to loose a car because of their service when i requested a new quote the interest rate went up even though the price is lower. My new years resolution i will be refinancing my home, my car and definitely moving my account to another bank um officially done with STANDARDBANK as a whole. For my second bond i got the best interest rate from ABSA i dont even bank with them.
I have applied for a Smart housing loan at the beginning of August already. Everytime i call i get different stories but no payment. I dont understand the delay as i also have people waiting i find this really unprofessional and inconsiderate. Week after week all i hear is one story after another but all of them clearly dont get me what i was suppose to get long time i go the payout.
<p>i have been having issues with Vodacom this is the forth month now i wrote them an email on the 24/10/2016 Ref no 0035-SCR4 about my account being overdebited and they said they will create a credit note and to date nothing i also requested a breakdown of what um being charged for on the 29/11/2016 i was overdebited again an amount of R1013 I i also sent them an email got a reference 010x-x2dq they said they will investigate and get back to me and they never did nor credit me nor send the breakdown of their calculations. Again this January i have been overdebited an amount of 964 which they said they will call and they never called back when i phoned on the 26/01 i want my money and i am tired of your nonsense and incompentence. if this matter doesnt get resolved and i dont get my money back i will report this to ICASA and Consumer protection.</p>
<p>My bank card was swallowed by the Sammy Marks Atm in Pretoria central on the 30/05/2016 time 17:18, tried calling your call centre waste of time. I need to know if i can get my card back i just made it a week ago and it cost me 140 and i cant be spending so much money again since the machine didnt have an out of order and infact the machine worked properly until it was suppose to withdraw the money then it had a technical error</p>
I made two phone calls on the 21/08/2015 time 10:00 and the second one on the 01/09/2015 time 15:45 as needed to unsuspend my account which i have to do every month i was then advised by one of the agents that my megabytes which i didn't utilize in the previous month will be carried over to September but now i was charged 1750 because i went over the 500megabytes that are allocated to me so i need to know why am i charged that as they said i will get a 1 gig on each sim. Why am i charged for the 500 megabytes that's i didn't utilized from the previous month please note i was advised by ur agent and you are welcome to pull up both those calls and listen to them.<br> i would appreciate this matter being sorted out as soon as possible.
