Salesman nformed that iPhone 11 battery was flat. Salesman didn't have charger. Took phone on good faith. After charging for several hours phone refuses to switch on. Returned item. Salesman apologetic but manager insists that phone was dropped and sent it for assessment. If phone was 'off' at point of sale, how would the opinion of manager be sustained if determination is made that phone was indeed "dropped".

During March 2019 bought advertised cell phone from Takealot. On 11 January 2021 Telkom blacklisted the phone, informing that it is a stolen phone. The owner of the phone, Huge Connect, alleges that almost 2000 handsets were stolen from them which they bought from Telkom. Owner alleges that these handsets were sold on the black "market" I attempted to get a reply from Takealot to no avail. Promises that someone would return my calls remain empty. Meanwhile my Samsung Note 9 is irresponsive, contracted to Mtn and no one seems to be able to assist. Please advise me.
I need to give brief background: I trusted Defy.Grew up with it. ALL the appliances in my home are Defy. A Defy product does not break, I eventually give it away....that was my believe...Great was my shock when a 3yr old fridge lost its temperature, on inspection to learn that the generator has broken. I could not believe it,neither did Defy and fridge was removed,returned 2 weeks later with the same problem,removed again by Defy and replaced,almost another 2 weeks later with a "new" fridge...on the same day as delivery, I forwarded a photograph of a serious dent on the top side to Defy...despite promises,to this day, no reaction. I must be quick to add though, that I dealt with 5 people at Defy...2 from the Durban office, Messrs Wicht and Mosweu...these two were sterling in their professionalism. When I formed the impression that the Cape Town branch, represented by Mrs Rugaya Latief and Mr Christopher Tomlinson, were dragging, a complaint to the Durban office would result in either Latief or Tomlinson to react. This 2 persons unfortunately never,but never return calls or respond to emails. An example on point:Tomlinson promised by email and a subsequent call that a technician would arrive at my house "the next day"...that was on 23 July 2019...Still no response or a call to apologize or to set a new date...This saga is dragging since May 2019 and the end not in sight. I have not totally lost confidence in Defy appliances. I am of opinion that they were the victim of their own success...I mean, an appliance that last a generation...a buyer only then?,with new competitors on the market!...even suppliers that I never associated with certain appliances,are entering now ...But some of the personell's handling of customers can improve..I was of opinion too that the Cape Town branch would perform better...as we have better service in the country generally...I was proved dismally wrong.

This is my umptieth review on this company who claim to develop property in the Brackenfell and Durbanville area.Recently,after three years I had a claim for a leaking geyser.The geyser was still under warranty and was replaced.The attending plumber informed me that future claims in this regard will be voided because my geyser was installed not according to specifications. He listed the errors as against the law.Theae errors were that a pipe extending vertically was not the prescribed 300 mm;that the bends in the pipes were not 45 degrees and that a pipe running from a valve was not from copper but a galvanised pipe.I immediately informed the owner of Innovia,Du Preez, who after a month of promises never reacted again.After three years I am stiil not in possession of at least my plumber's certificate.What is more is that a neighbour who sold his property recently on inspection, discovered that heis geyser too was leaking and he had to personally pay for the abovementioned errors to be corrected.It does seem that all the geysers in this estate was installed in this "unlawfull" fashion.

Since i joined Voxtelecom almost a year ago ,i noticed that my internet speed was getting slower near half of a month and normal again at the start of a new month.On complaining, Vox was of the opinion that the fault was at Telkom.Vox sent Telkom to my house who determined that Vox is throtteling my internet feed.I have an uncapped 4mbps contract at Vox.Tests done on the speed gives results of less then 1mbps.Only good for cellular usage and not for streaming my series' on my lovely Showmax.After numerous emails Vox responded saying that they have a fair usage policy.This means that if a user used a certain amount of data that such user is limited to 1mbps for the duration of that month.I am not getting that even.I have forwarded results of tests to at least 3 persons at Vox.No response.I enquired as such policy was not in my contract.No response.I received an email that my query was solved and that they spoke to me.I disputed this and complained again.No reponse from Vox.I sent numerous emails to employees at Vox whom i dealt with.No response.According to my contract I should contact a certain body should I have a complaint with my service provider.That email address for complaints on a template does not exist.I did reasearch and found a new address for this body.Requesting that they should contact me.A month went by without response.I want to get rid of this contract but my contract does not stipulate the procedures.Stupid of me but I never contemplated divorce.I hope through this forum,Hellopeter,that Voxtelecom could at least contact me.I still pay my monthly fees.
After a complaint on this site and at the NHBRC the shoddy workmanship at my residence was addressed...now....during the design of my kitchen,a plug and water outlet was installed under the pretext that a dishwasher of normal size would fit in...alas not the case !!!it simply does not fit.Since August 2017 Dupre of this company promised to come and rectify.Untill today a no show.I am now forced to use my hard earned cash to hire the services of a lawyer.After my struggles with them I swore that I never want them in my residence again but it would be too costly to hire someone else. I live in Victoire Village...that they "developed" and do not know anyone here who has received a professional service from them.I am inviting Hellopeter to visit this development.You have to see first hand what this "developer" did.
I complained on this site regarding possible breach of contract against a developer,innovia properties.I have now learned via the agent of rawson properties that Arno of Innovia prop threatens to make my life difficult unless I remove my complaint from this site.meanwhile the company has changed address without informing me.I want to serve process papers on them.
