I took my 40 week pregnant wife to Toretellini D'oro because she craved icecream and I knew this place had great icecream. We ordered icecream from the icecream fridge/counter and told the lady that assisted us the we would like to sit down. We ordered two cups of icecream 1scoop (R30) and 2scoop(R40) respectively. She scooped the icecream in a takeaway cup and handed it over to us with takeaway s****s after we said we wanted to sit down. So we took out takeaway and sat at a table while we had next to no assistance from waiters. When we asked for the bill they charged us R120 for the icecream stating it is for 3 scoops of icecream which is R40 a scoop. I confronted the waiter and manager about this and explained that we asked at the couter and saw the prices and ate from our takeaway cups as was given to us. She said that if you sit down that is the price and there is nothing she can do about this. I, not wanting to upset my highly pregnant wife, decided to pay and leave. Usually the sit down icecream comes in nice frozen bowls and then I understand the price. But giving us the "take away" treatment and charging us double the price with a bad attitude is bad business. This place will not see me again. I do not recommend this place if you would like nice friendly and honest service.
I went into the Centurion Makro branch to look at a Weber braai advertised as R2999 on sale. I was unsure whether I wanted to spend the extra cash on a better Weber and asked a staff member till when the sale on the Weber was running, she assured me that the sale is until the 13th of September and I therefore decided to take some time to make up my mind. I returned back the next day (04/09) to purchase the Weber that was on special. I was told that the special was only valid on 03/09 and that the person that assisted me refered to the wrong special. I confronted the store manager about this and he was not willing to sell the braai for the advertised price that the staff member assured me will still be valid. The store manager also started to take an irritated tone with multiple excuses when confronted on his answers, I was very respectful, polite and direct in the way I confronted him. According to me it will be ethical business to honour the promises of your staff members (even though they unknowingly misled you) and also to not run specials in such a confusing manner. I decided not to do business with them as a matter of principal and got a way better deal on Takealot for an even better Weber.

I have bought two Seagate portable hard drives from Game in Woodlands. I had them for about 2 years and one stopped working and the other one became unstable. After I realized that I lost all the information on the one drive I decided to open up the casing to have a look inside and then discovered that the hard drive is a Samsung hard drive. I have specifically bought a Seagate hard drive because they have a history of being stable and of good quality. I was extremely dissapointed to see that they used a Samsung drive and branded it as a Seagate drive and I specifically bought the seagate and spent the extra cash for a seagate drive. I don't know if Game switches out drives and market it as Seagate or does Seagate use cheap Samsung drives in their casings. This is false advertizing and just dissapointing on both parts.

My wife has a contract at MTN that costs about R650 per month and she purchases an extra 2GB of data bundle extra each month. She got charged R2100, R3000, and R1200 in sequence in the last 3 months. We contacted them to find out what is going on and they told us its data charges, the one bill displays R1800 for data. She works in a WIFI area and her data bundles displays as sufficient when viewed. According to this bill she used up about 1,8GB of out of bundle data above her purchased 2GB of data and her WIFI access. This is not possible under normal use. MTN didn't help us to resolve the issue and also didn't limit the data after it has been requested. The next month we received a bill of R2100. We again looked at the bill and realized she have been charges for obscure amounts of data and other unknown items. Today she received an sms claiming her data is depleted and she checked her balance and it displays 1,5GB available. I call on MTN to pay back the wrongfully allocated costs and cancel the contract as they are not keeping their end of the contract and cannot be trusted.
We booked a flight with Mango airlines on sunday 3 May at 12h00. This flight was booked to get us to Johannesburg from PE to get a flight overseas for honeymoon at 22h20 same day. This left us with about 7 hours of time to get our luggage in Pretoria and get to the international flight 3 hours early as is suggested. Mango changed their schedule a day before our wedding so our flight was delayed to depart at about 15h, which was still a safe time. After our wedding on the next day we arrived at the airport to find out the flight was delayed to 16h00, we got conserned because we needed to get our luggage and view a house in the original 7hours we planned which was now 4hours. We asked mango it they can help and they said its irresponsible to book and overseas flight the same day as a local flight (even if its10hours apart). They couldn't assist us and don't care if we miss our flight. Later the flight got delayed to 17h00 which gave us 1,5hours to get our luggage collected in PTA and booked in and through customs for out international flight.

Mango really gave us a horrible start to our honeymoon and didn't lift a finger to help or remedy their mistake.
After my 2 year contract with cell C ended I converted it to a month-to-month basis top-up contract and shortly after stopped the contract and went over to pre-paid. My reason for this was that they keep on messing up my bills and I got fed up with calling them every month and searching up all the records of payments I have made and bills they sent me.

It is now about three months later and they still send me bills for a contract that I had but don't have anymore. I have to phone them every month to get them to reactive my line (which is on pre-paid). Everytime I phone them they confirm after assessing all the bills and payments (about and 30min to hour calls everytime) that all my previous contract bills have been settled and I don't own them any money. They also ask me everytime when my debit order date is on my contract and there isn't supposed to be a debit order as I previously used EFT and currently I'm on pre-paid (no contract).

I ask that cell C will kindly get this sorted.

I hope that everyone considering using Cell C will head this warning, Cell C has great prices and their reception is good enough but their admin makes their service not worth the saving.
I have switched from my finished contract to a top up month to month contract without a mobile device.
After the switch I received 2 bills which together wasn't correct. I went in store at Menlyn and asked for the correct amount. I immediately paid the amount as stated. -2 days later I received notification of an arrears account and phoned client services to confirm the amount, again paid it immediately. A week later I received an email threatening to hand the case over to the debt collectors for the first amount (that was already paid). Again, I phoned client services and they confirmed my accounts are in order and paid, I asked them to transfer me to their pre-legal department to confirm that everything is in order. After waiting about 5 to 10 minutes each time for 3 separate calls I got through to a consultant. They confirmed the accounts are in order and that it reflect negatively on my account as I made late payment. Honestly, who is at fault, me or the service provider that messes up the bills.

Cell C's after sales service is confused and out of order and paints the client in bad light due to their incompetence to provide quality service. Good prices, bad service.
