Old Mutual loaded mine and my nephew’s policies in a way that has them tangled up. My details pull up my Nephew’s details and when I enter my details it says I’m none existent yet my debit order is taken every month. It’s been a year. I have been to both Greenstone and Alex Mall branches were the Old Mutual employees have sent out emails after email after email and have spoken to people from head office and everytime I’m promised that it’ll be done. In fact I even received an sms from Old Mutual saying it is done. It still isn’t done. I am at Old Mutual Alex mall as we speak and we are on the phone with someone else who is also just trying to lie. How can the process of undoing and updating details be so sos difficult. I am at a point where we want to cancel all policies. Your service is ****py. I can’t do this anymore. We are paying huge amounts of premiums yet we can’t access our policies because Old Mutual is some how struggling to update our details. This is why you are rated the worst insurance company in the country.
I recently had a claim with Naked Insure and the process was really smooth and seamless. They said I could take my car to BodyTech2000 in KEW Johannesburg. My car is a Polo TSI and it has that roof compartment where you can put sunglasses in. I had my HUGO BOSS Prescription glasses n that compartment. They are prescription sun glasses so i never remove them from that compartment because I wear them on occasion (out at the park, godlreef city etc) and this is why I never remove them from there. While the lady at reception was too quick to highlight that I confirmed to have removed all my valuables, it isn't unusual that one would forget something in their car. And apart from that, whether or not i confirm doesn't give anyone license to take something valuable if they find it in the car. I clearly forgot to remove them even though I said i had removed all valuable and that still doesn't justify theft. I got these prescription glasses at Spec Saver beginning of the year and they were expensive. I am shocked that loss or theft is treated so lightly. I am a customer and i shouldn't have my stuff being ****** from inside my car. This actually left a bad taste in my mouth. It doesn't even matter now the work they did on my car. This here has ruined that entire experience.

I bought a the new design POLO TSI 2023 with VW. The entire process was done and dusted all done at VW and financed at VW. To my delight I learnt from them a few months ago that my installment includes a maintenance plan. last week Friday 3rd Jan 2025 my car gives me issues with the gear not selecting gears. I have it Towed to Lindsay Saker VW Edenvale in 1 Stoneridge Dr, Modderfontein, Edenvale at about 11:30am. I get a call from them on that same Friday to ask about what the issue was and I explain again. I am told that it is R9000.00 to remove the whole thing for inspection and this is just for inspection and I need to authorize. I say that I have a maintenance plan with them as they are the Financiers of the car anyway. They tell me that the maintenance plan might not cover it because it is based on my driving regardless of whether it is wear and tear. I wasn't told about this at purchase and i wasn't told about this when I was made aware of my maintenance plan. I am the told that replacing the clutch is somewhere in the R25K regions and I would have to pay based on the findings and what they tells the VW maintenance plan department. So yesterday as I get the call i dreaded to let me know that the findings suggest that I must pay R25K and that their maintenance plan doesn't cover it because the wear and tear is because of my driving. I don't even know what that means because I drive the car normally. I am not drag racing. What happens to someone who is a learner driver? Most of us that live in Joburg are actually from the bundus where our families and parents are living and the maintenance plan helps give you comfort because there's a lot of gravel in the bundus. Unless they had found that I was doing something extraordinary like drag racing then it is never gonna make sense to me this thing of "based on your driving" story. I have spoken to a few of my colleagues who also found it confusing. I am just so turned off by this entire experience. i also want to pose this question on social media platforms to see who else has had this experience. I am on Twitter now and I see a lot of people complaining about the TSI clutch and issues. I am going to make damn sure that that maintenance plan that they included in my installment to cover wear and tear, does what it is meant to do or they remove it completely. It is January and i did not have the R25K and I need the car. So basically VW understood that I am trapped and have no other choice so yes of course I took a load to pay it off. I begged for a discount and ended up paying R22800.00. Again, I had no choice. I need the car. If I didn't have a maintenance plan, i would have saved for such. VW has really ruined my driving experience. this morning I wasn't even enjoying driving the car.

Hello Standard Bank, I don’t know if you are aware or not as this has been happening for soooooo long - Your branch in Greenstone Mall in Mooderfontein is truly struggling. The experience feels exactly like going to a government department. You channel your mind that you will spend at least 5 hours in line, that chances are they have no idea about the service you require. I mean an entire branch and no one person knew of or how to open an estate late account? They don’t know how it works. They don’t even know that I can’t get proof of banking for it from an ATM. Please send someone from head office to spend a day here so you can observe this. If any of your customers come here at spend less than an hour waiting in line, I’ll donate my salary to a charity of your choosing.
I would like to give another high 5 to DSTV all thanks to Litemba Cebisa for his outstanding service. I called in frustrated but not only did he handle the call well. He resolved my issue and did so in record time. I’ve had two calls with DSTV this past week and I must say specialists like Litemba really fly your flag high. Please give him the biggest high five from me. His service is EXCEPTIONAL.
This is a special shout out to Wandile Nzuza … I called today with what I think is a complex issue … As soon as I explained it to him, I could tell from get-go he got it. His product knowledge is a bar above. I would trust him with ALL of my DSTV queries. But above all, his patience - WOW! He literally was moving at my pace. He was kind. He was understanding. And because of his outstanding service, I am moving to D/O and taking the 24mnth contract. A great way to save money. Thank you Wandile for telling me about this. You basically in one call, fixed my issue first time and educated me about how I can save money on my premium bouquet.
Hello First Help, I am a residential of 144 - 20th Avenue Alexandra. We have been having an issue with one of your employees who, everyday, come with this big tow truck and blocks the residential road. It is exactly 18:39 on the 20th of September 2022 and the registration is 457 FST GP. I have pictures of how the truck is parked and this is everyday. Some days he comes here and drinks and when we try to reason with him, he tells us off and that your company knows that he drinks and won’t move his truck. I will call in tomorrow and I will also be publishing the pic of your truck on Twitter and tag you so you can see this truck and the traffic block it causes
I would like to send a special shout out to Alice who works at your Branch in Mall of Africa! The lady is INCREDIBLE! Her service and knowledge of your products - AMAZING! She has been extremely helpful to me and honestly when you are dealing with people’s finances, you need to have a certain decorum that puts a client at complete ease. She’s been able to do so! I’m incredibly happy with her overall. Please give her a HIGH FIVE from me
