Delivery is always on time and returns are easy - either they collect, or you can return yourself if you're in Cape Town. I especially appreciate that I can call in with a query and have always been assisted immediately by a friendly and helpful consultant.
Nitida with its beautiful view was one of my favorite restaurants, but my experience this afternoon was disappointing. First the bread came with pink marks on both sides. The waiter brought another piece on request with no explanation, but it looked like someone with lipstick on their fingers had handled the bread,. Secondly, the feta in the salad was very obviously off. They brought a new salad with fresh feta. And finally after my husband finished his meal, there was a hair on his plate. A pity about lack of quality service, because the setting is beautiful.
Brian was professional, responded promptly and very polite.
I informed Tiger Brands that I bought Jungle energy bar that was clearly smaller than usual. I The wrapper said 40g but when I weighed it was 35 g. I got only the automated response. It happened again: instead of 48g the bar was 44g. Again no response.
Food was good and beautiful scenery, but service was frustrating, disappointing and infuriating - and I am a patient, understanding person! Birthday celebrations ruined :-( Took forever to take the order, got it wrong, waited a long time for food etc. Waiter seemed like a nice guy, but they seemed way understaffed, so barely saw him! When I paid the bill, (which of course they got wrong), I expressed my dissatisfaction. I was informed that three of the staff had been in an accident, which resulted in the lack of staff. Really Poplars? If this was true, why not at least communicate this? And then after all this I get overcharged - unbelievable. Waste of money.
I called Waltex to enquire about binding for carpets. They said to bring it in and they will access. The carpets were very heavy requiring three of us to load into the car. When we arrived, the gentlemen working there were helpful: gave me a quote, unload and brought samples. Only to call the next day to say he was nearly fired by the manager for taking the carpets and they can't do it. With much effort I had to fetch and take to Horizon carpets who did this for me a few months ago. Apparently they had outsouced to Waltex! Manager not doing his job and blaming staff!
On 29 May I had RIGHT OF WAY as the the light was GREEN and turned LEFT leaving Plattekloof. The Outsurance client turned RIGHT co and our cars got scratched. He apologised, called it \\Morning Madness\\"; and apologised again. Rightfully so - it was his error in judgement. I was calm and treated him with understanding and respect. Outsurance refused my claim saying that their client had the right of way. I was spoken rudely. When I called to ask the apparently decent Mr. H; he refused to speak to me; saying Outsurance told him not and mumbled something about not having money to pay;before I could get a word in. It is unfair to claim from my insurance and pay R4800 excess! The claim I put in was less than that. My insurance could try to claim back the excess from Outsurace but there is no guarantee. They said they see this happening all the time with Outsurance because the agents get paid for closing the case without paying - so they bully people. They advised me to take Mr. H to Small Claims Court - which is my only option now. Did Outsurance make a liar out of Mr H?

\"\"\""
