I am starting to get very frustated with Takealot - it is twice now that i have returned defective products and they blame me and then want to fight giving me a refund. I have been ordering from them for years but it seems that defective products are where they refuse to take accountability! Seems Amazon might be the way to start going since it is not in South Africa
Great service! Cost effective and efficient. Would use them again if I were to move.

I am so disappointed with the service from Takealot. I bought 2 blue light glasses from Takealot which were poorly made, as I was sitting at my desk and the lens just fell out. the Frame snapped. I WAS SITTING AT MY DESK and this happened. I tried to return and it was sent back to me, I then again told them it was poor quality and they told me to do the return again. with more details it was denied again, without them even paying attention to my return notes. In have been buying from takealot years and it is so dissappointing to see their actual lack of concern when they have poor quality items and then to not get a response from anyone to actually assist me. So disgusting.
Do not use them!!!! I booked a flight on their website and now I can’t get rid of this stupid R195 subscription fee DO NOT use their website. There are other websites that don’t ***** your money. They are terrible!
I am actually very disapppointed as my experience with Takealot has usually been a good one, however I dealt with a return on glasses because I was sitting at my desk working and the lense popped right out - I then returned them as I had only had them for about 2 months - I was then advised that this was my fault and I had clearly damaged them and then they returned it without even allowing me to share my side. I ended up dealing with one of their employees who was helpful and said the matter had been escalated but then the package was returned. When i queried this I was told if I am not happy with the outcome i need to submit another return. This feels very unfair and like I must run around for a product that they sold that was clearly poor quality. It was honestly so disappointing and terribly handled.
I would give it less than a 1 star if I could. They lost my package and then when I kept trying yo follow up on it, they ignored my emails and my whatsapp messages. Rather use something else, You stand a good chance of losing your package with them
The agents are amazing. We dealt with Jane and she is efficient, helpful and a pleasure to work with. They are incredibly fast with sorting out maintenance issues. My only issue is with the accounts team. They seem a bit all over the place and don't see to have a good handle on things.
Honestly the best customer service. So quick on emails and assisting with any issues from sellers. Couldn't recommend them enough :)
