I purchased a removals trolley from Leroy Merlin some time ago. Both wheel tubes gave in and when I attempted to purchase new inner tubes they told me that I cannot purchase an inner tube only and would have to purchase the rim, tyre and tube at 10 times the price of an inner tube. Is this even legal?
on 4 August 2025 I was scheduled for Surgery at Midstream Mediclinic Hospital. I filled in a comprehensive and very accurate on-line admission at home prior t6o going to Hospital but still had to wait for over an hour in the freezing cold wind at Reception to sign some documents, which probably could have been given to me in the Ward or signed electronically at Home...On arrival at the Surgical ward I found that my valuables Locker was broken and notwithstanding my request for repairs, it was not attended to before I was taken to Theatre. Outside Theatre someone discovered that I had not had the required Blood Tests done and had to be tested quickly prior to having surgery. On waking up post Surgery, I was informed that although I was to recover in ICU, said ICU was full and I was left in a passage somewhere for nearly 2 hours. At this stage I had been without drinking water for more than 18 hours and had my Wife bring me a bottle of water to drink. Other nearby Patients were also requesting Family members to bring Food and Water. Later in the ICU at Dinner time I was given Pasta to eat even though I made this known to Kitchen, Ward and Admissions. Throughout the Night the ICU was very noisy mostly due to Hospital staff. Positives: The Surgical Team is World Class. The Food other than being inappropriate was tasty and well prepared.
I am so impressed with Takealot! They recently assisted me with a Health and Safety issue after their Supplier was not prepared to assist in any way at all and were trying to shirk their accountability and displayed a rude and non caring attitude (Samsung SA) In many instances my Family, Friends and I are prepared to pay slightly more for a product because we ALL KNOW that their service and Customer care is World class.Congrats and thank you!!
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy watch 5 Pro. I purchased this watch on advice from my Cardiologist to monitor my ECG, Blood pressure etc. To my utter dismay and surprise I found that this Watch was disabling my Pacemaker due to strong magnets on the strap clasp! I cannot use this watch as it puts my life at risk.
Twice now I have given OUTsurance the name of their Agent who provided the poor service and twice they have asked for my id number... I would NEVER give this info on a public forum! They have my tel number but are perhaps a bit lazy as their agent is ?
Karcher Foam Gun dissapoints I purchased a Karcher Foam Jet Cleaner from Makro Strubensvalley, as my previous one failed after many years of use. When I eventually tried to use the new one, it did not fit even though the model displayed on the packaging is the same as my HP Cleaner model. It appears that Karcher has changed the attachment fitting.

My Wife and I recently had a bad experience when trying to obtain a quote from an Outsurance Agent. He requested an Insurance schedule of our current Insurance to enable him to draw a cost comparison and promised to get back to us within hours...After a number of days I e-mailed him and received no response at all. The next day he called my Wife and commenced asking her for info, all of which was available on the Document that I had sent him. It became abundantly clear that he had not read said Document at all and was trying to read the Document while on the Phone with my Wife. I can only imagine what their service would be like in the case of a claim??
I will never again buy from this Company.I purchased 6 doors from their Little Falls branch on Thursday 2 November for urgent delivery before Monday 6 November. Said items were not delivered as promised resulting in my Contractor sitting around all day with no material. My Wife and I called their Customer care Centre 6 times during the day and each of the 6 persons we spoke to promised to call back with a solution and all 6 did not call back, including their Manager!!!!!
We recently purchased a Beef Hindquarter from this Butchery. The Meat quality was found to be as per the official grading. The cutting up of the meat was done very poorly. For example the steaks were not cut to uniform thickness but ranging from thin on the edges to thick in the centre, making proper cooking nearly impossible. As pensioners we have to be very circumspect as regards expenditure and are now in possession of a few months worth of good Beef that has been spoiled by poor Blockmanship.
