I’ve been receiving sms’s over the past few days stating that I need to update my details on the Vodapay app, so I followed the insteuctions and logged in and couldn’t get it right, I then called in and the lady showed me how to get support from the app, they called me but also couldn’t get it right, then they also showed me how to get to the live chat, live chat couldn’t get it right, they then called me and still couldn’t get it right and said I must wait until the 14th to see if my app will be blocked, I asked what details did I need to update, no one from Vodacom was sure, I then asked them to change my surname on the app as it’s still showing my old surname, no one knew how to, how does Vodacom have an app that they can’t manage/support? Anyway one question, is it possible to do an early upgrade with Vodacom??
I recently was interested in taking up MiwayLife to which I had signed up, but then some debt came up and I was then forced to cancel the Life policy shortly after so I can take care of this first, I then requested MiwayLife to cancel my policy to which they did, but I see that the cancellation is effective as of 01/04/2026 and my account was debited, this shouldn’t be the case as the policy was cancelled within 30 days of me taking it it..I’d say less than 15 days of me taking the policy, so kt doesn’t even make sense that you’d want to debit me for the first month then cancel the next month, can this be refunded please..
Discovery insure data inaccurate….I reviewed yesterday’s data and I must say the info is inaccurate….for one it shows that on the 6th Feb 2026 and it shows that I sped on Tonkmeter road and drove 84 on a 60 zone, I am quite fami**** with that road and it’s an 80 zone….it even shows that after I left Carnival mall I also sped, this info is inaccurate as I am very observant on the road and I also use Waze to assist in my driving as well as I look out for road signs, on my trip I was very vigilant and I urge Discovery to put someone on both those roads to verify where the road changes speed there’s nowhere, it’s either the sensior is damaged or the the Discovery GPS has incorrect information…..both those roads are 80 zones and I was well within that zone, can this be investigated and have my points returned to me, I cannot be losing points over something that doesn’t exist.
I am so disappointed with Capitec Bank, I lost my brother this week and unfortunately he never discussed his policies with anyone we just know he had policies but don’t know where, so we went to court and obtained a letter of authority and we took to it Capitec so we can view his statement and determine which policies debited from his account so we can claim from those insurers, but Capitec bank refused and said the cannot assist as the letter of authority doesn’t mean anything to them, the only thing they could do is show us his balance, which at this point we really don’t care about that we just want to know who he was insured with and we can bury him with dignity, apparently Capitec doesn’t subscribe to court instructions…
College SA is turning out to be one of the worst institutions you can work with, I paid my sons' exam fees (Ref IVQ0265) on the 11th December, to date we are still awaiting exam vouchers, on the 14th Jan I received an update from the college stating that they are waiting for the funds to reflect into their account, which is rather a lame excuse, the funds should have long reflected on their account, the payment was made 11th December, can this please be sorted out
I’m deeply disappointed by Miway insurance, since December I’ve been filling in the contact form to get scratch and dent cover as well as Tyre and rim cover and to date I have not received any callback as yet…..is it that Miway views it as minor business or what??
I did a quotation yesterday and it was initially for motor insurance then after I went on and did quotes for home contents and buildings cover as well to which I ended up accepting the building and home contents. at the end of the call I asked the lady about the Outsurance promise, if they can't beat your motor insurance quote you get R500, the lady promised to send an email but nothing till now
I did a quote last week online for home contents, building cover and vehicle insurance, it all came down to around R2600 and I spoke to the consultant and the last conversation was on him seeing if he can get me a discount and bring it down to around R2200-R2300 which is roughly what I’m currently paying, I’ve been waiting since for him to get back to me….I will admit your excesses are slightly higher than I’m paying but that’s fine, I can live with the quoted excesses if
Naked has to be one of the worst insurers I have ever had to deal with, yesterday I got a chip at around 13:14 and almost immediately lodged a claim on the app since the chip I got was a spiderweb chip, meaning it had lots of points that could have easily ran and turned into a full on crack, with that in mind I called in to try and get immediate approval since i was already at the mall and there's a glass repair shop nearby but I couldn't get approval at that time, I waited a further 2 hours and still nothing, I then proceeded around 15:00 and got the chip repaired and the first thing the repairer said was I'm lucky that chip is still a chip and proceeded to repair it and luckily it didn't crack further, the repair cost me R550 I sent everything to Naked, a claims handler was appointed at around 16:00, then this morning she gave me a call to say she was going to approve it yesterday as to what stopped her from approving I don't know, the only thing she sent was an email to introduce herself nothing more, but this morning she claims she wanted to give me immediate approval, I explained to her that the chip was repaired and the reasons who I had to act quickly, 1 the weather is unstable these days and that alone increases the risk of the chip cracking further by 80%, SA's bumpy roads also play a factor and by the time they got around to approving the entire windscreen would have most probably needed replacing, which is a higher cost and chances are i wouldn't have been able to drive to work today is the windscreen cracked as that is a traffic violation, she then tells me from the R550 they can only refund R50 since excess is R500, who charges excess for chips? What would the point be really to pay R500 excess for a R550 repair, that's why with most insurers' chips get fixed for free on the same note should you then decide to do it yourself since it's not worth it to claim as stated above, you still encounter an issue again because they'll still hold it against you, either way you lose as a client, none the less I am unimpressed by this insurer and I am looking for alternative insurance and I will cancel and encourage my wife and mother to cancel as well as friends and other family to do the same. I see a lot of people are displeased with this insurer as well, totally not worth it. If by any chance you do decide to have someone call me, let it not be the consultant I spoke to, not to undermine her I know she was only following instruction, I need someone that has the authority to change or reverse this.
I just took up comprehensive cover with Prime….and someone made a mention to me that Prime doesn’t cover you when your rims and tyres are ******…I did that call back service request a consultant called me back and at first she sounded confused but later said no comprehensive cover does cover ****** rims and tyres….but being unsure still I called back in and asked the same question and Rodney I believe was the name of that consultant confirmed that Prime doesn’t cover ****** rims and tyres….which in this case would deem the policy futile…..if that is the case please cancel my policy. Do note that I do not have a claim but someone mentioned that fact to me and I just needed to confirm. If you guys don’t cover ****** rims then please cancel my policy,
