We had a 10GB day, 10GB night data contract since Aug 2018 and it was always more than enough, until the last 3 months. We are using it the same as before, but the data disappear. On Wednesday just after 8pm we check and had more than 2GB left. Just after 9pm we had 0 data left. Only 2 cell phones connected to our Wi-Fi router, no update or download done in this time. The last couple of months our router also can't get internet access for a hour or so and then suddenly access is restored without us doing anything.
We already drank something elsewhere so we only ordered food at the Wimpy in Irene Village Mall on Saturday. After a while the waitress brought our food and disappeared again. At the first bite I realize my omelet is very cold, like room temperature, not a speck of warmth. I hate cold eggs. There wasn't a waiter in sight, so I took my plate and was almost at the counter when I came across our waitress. I asked her to warm it for me. After she brought it back she disappeared again. When we finished eating there was still no waiter in sight, so we went to the counter. We explained to a man there where we sat and he called for 104, but nobody came. While still at the table we had work out that our bill should be R94.98, so we just gave the man R100 and left. The place wasn't very busy, but all the waiters were hiding in the kitchen. We used to frequent them before they moved, but will think twice now.
We were at the center on Saturday and decided to try Der Zucker Backer for the first time. They are a bit expensive (R29 for a cappuccino), but the menu looked interesting. The cappuccino took a long time to come and was cold. While waiting for our food they brought a dish to the table next to us. They called the waiter back and said the lady ordered chips with it and they gave it with salad. They then told the waiter to cancel their order and left. After waiting a very, very long time the waiter eventually came and told us that they don’t have the smoked salmon needed for my dish. When I asked what now, he said I must tell him. They probably hoped that I will settle for bacon, but not at that price. I asked to see the menu again, but when he went to fetch it, we decided that we are done waiting. When we asked to cancel the order, he said they already started the omelet for the other dish. Were they planning to serve the one dish and let us wait for the other or would the other dish just stand there getting cold? We paid for the cappuccinos and left. The place has a lot of potential, but is badly managed. They don’t even know the basics of serving people: The food must be hot and everybody at the table must get their food at the same time.
You credit card replacement process is causing great inconvenience for me. My current card expires next month. Apparently a new card was issued on 25 Apr and since then my credit card transactions no long show up in my internet banking. I want to consolidate my credit card slips with the transactions. Also want to see if I got my refund from PayPal. I called your 08 ********** 0 number, but was just transferred from department to department, until I got fed up and ended the call. Nobody can tell me when the new card will be delivered. How will this affect my Absa rewards?
Do not be conned by Vodacom to sign a contract with them. The price may look good now, but it means nothing. They can increase it as they like and you will just have to pay it. The contract just favours them. You will be trapped for 24 months and can’t escape without penalties.
I’m going to scream if I receive any more automated responses from PayPal. Totally impossible to get personal attention to get an issue resolved. I paid for a purchase on 27 Dec. When the parcel finally arrived I discovered some items were damaged in transit. On 23 Mar the seller refunded me $20. It seems PayPal sees this refund as a payment. PayPal deducted $1.08 and is holding onto the remaining $18.92 and not paying it back into my credit card.
I was a bit worried to buy from them, because I have never heard of them before. But the price was so good I decided to take the chance. The perfume was delivered the next day. No problems at all.
On 2 Jan I left a complaint after R50.13 was deducted from my account after contracts were canceled. You promised that somebody will contact me, but nobody did. On 29 Jan I left another complaint after another R60.54 was stolen from my account by Vodacom. You again promised that somebody will contact me, but again nobody did. So please don't tell me that somebody will contact me!!! Just ensure that there are no open contracts on my ID and refund me the money that you stole.
I used to like Take2, but it seems Takealot has just become too big. There seems to be misunderstandings between departments and bad communication with suppliers. On 17 Jan I ordered an item with a delivery time of 7-9 working days. So delivery should have been 30 Jan. On 1 Feb they canceled the item in my order, but the item was still available to order for the same price. After logging an inquiry (I hate it that you can’t just reply to an email anymore) I got this answer from Brian B: “Please note that the supplier had been out of stock the time. We can create a replacement order for the item using the credit for the canceled one. Note that the item has a shipping time of 7-9 working days, meaning it takes that long to get from the supplier to our warehouse, after which we would the dispatch for delivery.” So on 4 Feb I ordered the item again, but the next day it was canceled again. At least now the item is no longer available to order. I have another order placed on 13 Jan and due 24 Jan that got postponed several times and expected delivery is now 11 Feb. I will not be surprised if some items are canceled after all this time. What upsets me is that it takes so long to determine that the supplier can supply the item.
I would not recommend anybody to open a Vodacom contract. It is impossible to cancel it. I complaint on 2 Jan about Vodacom that still deducted R50.13 in December after my contracts ended in October. They promised that somebody would contact me, but nobody ever did. This month they stole another R60.54. I'm furious. What can one do about these thieves?
