Was **** to you. STAY AWAY ! we app**** for an apartment that wasnt even listed on property 24 (no one viewd it besides us) app**** that day filled in applications and all was supposedly approved by Liesl and moved forward to the interview phase. Then to confirm the date and time for the interview with Liesl everyone went radio silent ? then tried to get a hold of liesl and never spoke to her, couldnt get a hold of her EVER. eventually got through to Giselle who then said no your application has been rejected, but then why did Liesl schedule an interview ? eventually liesl says we were rejected because someone beat us to it (fair i guess if they beat us to it) BUT THEN after that was said the next day PHI (Liesl) posted the property on property 24 therefore still looking for people to rent it out too. Super unprofessional. You can just be honest of what the real reason is. Be transparent with ur clients and not try to hide away the truth. Very very dissatisfied and disappointed.

Avoid! If I could give zero stars, I would. The contract requires that after giving notice, you allow prospective tenants into your home for two hours every day, including Saturdays. What they don’t tell you is that YOU will be the one showing prospective tenants around—without any company representative present. In our case, that meant welcoming 40 complete strangers into our home, with no support or security from the company. Our safety was completely disregarded. And if you dare question this highly unorthodox practice, you can expect to be bul****, spoken down to, and threatened with legal letters, with your deposit held over your head every time you push back. This company has zero customer care, zero communication skills, zero professionalism, and zero decency. The owner operates like a gangster, relying on legal loopholes to intimidate tenants. Stay far away unless you want to be treated like a nuisance instead of a paying customer.

I would not recommend Progressive Housing Investments. They are far from honest or "progressive" in their approach. Instead of clear and transparent communication, they bombard you with confusing legal jargon and try to intimidate you into a corner. Rather than treating people with respect and decency, they take an aggressive and dismissive approach, making the entire experience frustrating and unpleasant. If they simply communicated like human beings, they might receive the same courtesy in return. Unfortunately, their lack of professionalism and poor customer service make it impossible to recommend them. Proceed with caution.

There is nothing progressive about this company. I rented from PHI for two years and it felt like I was party to a lawsuit in every interaction and the minute you needed something from them (like getting your deposit back) they wouldn’t respond to emails or calls. They have zero respect for you as a tenant and certainly no respect for your time. Would not recommend. It took me months of phone calls and following up to ensure the smallest thing was actually taken care of (like having hot water in your shower or a broken window in the stairwell being fixed). They consistently did the absolute bare minimum and, shamelessly, took every advantage they could get.

They do false advertising, puting up pictures for a much better maintained property with much nicer finishings and painted but when I arrived the layout was the same but the apartment was not as neat and renovated as the one in the pictures. They also advertised an window enclosed balcony with face brick walls as a good room for a child - this would of course be devastatingly cold for a child and insanely hot in summer for a child. The pictures advertised showed a carpeted and painted area not a face raw bricked area with literally the kind of blue hard carpeting you find in a commercial office space.

If there were zero stars I would have chosen 0. Single owner of numerous residential properties, with no Body Corporate for localised management. Based on my experience, complaints sit behind an opaque screen. My frequent complaints about noise nuisance have not been taken seriously. The incessantly yapping dog make it impossible to work from home and have caused severe unhappiness among our tenants and owners at the next door complex. On the contrary, my complaint was treated with contempt and I was told the dog does not yap, and this was while the dog was yapping. We have captured it on video recording. In general my experience has been that Management does not respond to emails and ducks calls when possible. Our Body Corporate has now had to resort to City of Cape Town Law Enforcement. Disgraceful! And they call themselves 'progressive'. That is such irony.

Not sure if it is utter incompetence or just zero pride in their work, but this has been the absolute worst and most unprofessional experience I've ever had. Their buildings are under constant renovation which means tenants have to live in a building site. When a tenant then tries to communicate with agents / landlord, they NEVER call back or email back. I've never felt this disrespected by someone I had a contactual agreement with. 0/10 - would not recommend.

I have had a very poor experience with this company. Things are smoothly during the sign-up process. The only slight warning bell was the unusually detailed lease agreement which spelt out many more potential penalties for the lessee than I have ever seen. That aside, since the lease was signed, there have been almost continuous heavy building noises, which make it impossible to work, and therefore impossible to use the leased space during office hours. For many of us, post covid, working from home is a reality. This has gone on for months and months now, with only short breaks. PHI refuse to meet to discuss the issue. They do not return phone calls about it. They will not answer specific suggestions for resolving/improving the situation. They refuse to enforce time frames with contractors. They often give notice just 1 day before the noise starts. Notice, when it is given, is usually totally inaccurate, sometimes lasting for weeks on end after a "this Tuesday to Friday" type of notice. Be careful about moving here. As all the flats are owned by a single person/entity, there is no body corporate and no way to resolve issues other than going to the rental housing tribunal. You'll be on your own.
