My experience with Property Shop, particularly with Chantell, has been disappointing. Despite multiple attempts to contact her via email, she has consistently failed to respond to any of my inquiries or complaints. This lack of communication has been frustrating and unprofessional. It's concerning when a property agent does not prioritize client communication, as it reflects poorly on their commitment to customer service. I would advise potential clients to consider this before engaging with Property Shop, as responsiveness and attentiveness are crucial in the real estate industry.

The Company I work for rented a property in Woodhill, Pretoria, via Property Shop, where I lived from August 2013 to September 2016. Some aspects of the house were in need of attention, the carpets were stained, a door was cracked. Everything was duly reported, in writing, to Property Shop, but no improvement was carried out. Record of the communication exists and is available to Property Shop. At the time of leaving the house, Property Shop deducted the cost of repairing the door and cleaning the carpet from the deposit. Not only, they also surreptitiously deducted the amount of the last utility bill from the deposit, despite the well known arrangement in place whereby I was paying the utility bills directly to the landlord. Despite the repeated request of refund and explanation, Property Shop only returned the amount for the electricity bills, and did not have the decency to reply to my request for explanation. This was a corporate rental and I assume that Property Shop tried their cheap stunt in the knowledge that after expatriating from South Africa I would have no time nor the possibility to chase the extorted deposit. A despicable behaviour, a stain on the otherwise exceptional South African hospitality.

I have been trying to view a property for 4 days now.
I called Margareth to organise a viewing and she told me she would get back to me. I received no reply, since then I SMS and / or phoned her every day to try organise the viewing. Each time I was told that she cannot contact the tenant. Now if the estate agent cannot contact the tenant for 4 days then there is definitely something wrong. I also never received a reply to any of the SMS's I sent her.

To crown it all off I called Property Shop to complain and was told I have to complain directly to Margareth. So how will anything change if I complain to the person who I am complaining about. When I explained my complaint to her she treated my like a child, pathetic. She will receive no reprimand and continue with her terrible service. I do not understand that logic.

I am very disappointing with the service I received I thought the whole point of an estate agent was to simplify the rental process instead I've decided not to even consider this apartment which was a firm favourite because the rental agent was horrible. I hope that the owner is aware that they have lost out on a possible rental because they chose Property Shop.

I was renting a two bedroom apartment since February and when it was raining outside water was coming in from the ceiling in my room, the bathroom and the kitchen. i laid a complain to the agency as it states from the lease agreement that a tenant should report any damages from the apartment and the landlord will fix them. so i have laid a complain, telling them how the water damages my stuff and for 3 months nothing was done. The agency kept on saying they will fix it every time i was reminding him. So since they could not follow their lease agreement i decided to move out of the apartment and now they are telling me i have to follow the lease agreement and pay a 4 month rent if i cannot find someone to take our the lease. no one wants to move to a place that is raining especially now that its winter.

Since January 2015 Property Shop failed to refund me commission paid in advance.
Contact person 'dealing' with this enquiry is Chantell Fabricius.
The agent at Property Shop Sonja Kruger forwarded all enquires to Chantell Fabricius and also failed to guarantee finalization of the requested refund. After forwarding the calculation of commission paid in advance and insisting them via e-mail that refund is long time due, Property Shop ignored my request and did not . After numerous e-mails over a period of 4 months and ignoring my electronic requests I had to report them on Hello Peter as well as The Estate Agency Affairs Board (EAAB)
From the start all billing and monthly statements were incorrect. Property Shop lack professionalism in many ways.
In retrospect I would like to warn the public and future clients to reconsider and then again reconsider signing any contract with Property Shop.
