A family member bought a car in July last year from the Renault dealership in Amanzimtoti at Arbour crossing . I'm looking for advice on a consumer protection specifically in cars. The car was bought last year (renault duster 2019 model 90k on the clock) , from the Renault dealership in Amanzimtoti, full service history. With aditional warenty & service plan. Paid in full on 25th July 2023. Car went in on 28th Nov 2023 for a "check anti pollution system". They "fixed" it in a day. The same error code came up and the car went in on 26th Jan 2024. This time the car took OVER a month to repair, I was told parts needed to come in from france. I was left without a car for about 3 weeks before reporting to renault headoffice to recieve a hired car, which I used for a further 3 weeks. The car was then returned to me "fixed" This week the same error code has come up on the car AGAIN. I really don't want to be car-less for another month or so. I am wondering what my options are now? It seems that Renault is unable to fix this problem as this will be the third time in less than a year that the exact problem needs fixing. Does anyone have any advice on how tA family member bought a car in July last year from the Renault dealership in Amanzimtoti at Arbour crossing . Best service ever!!! Booking was quick and easy, service was quick, everything was done and more, they called me when the vehicle was nearly ready and they explained everything that had been done. Great people and a nice atmosphere. Highly recommended for Renault - I'm sure it will be fine for the other brands they service.

I have been there a few times, some of the service department staff, but I am really unhappy with the fact that there is NEVER a manger available to talk to or a service provider when you call the branch. and that even though you ask that they will be able to drop you off at work and that I will need to be dropped of before 8am, I am told ya should not be a problem.. even when I got there today I asked the service staff member that was receiving my car if they are too busy today maybe bring it back another day. was told no its fine can do it today. I waited about an hour and still no one hade taken me to my work, I asked the lady sitting in the service department when they going to take us as I need to be at work at 8am and it was already 10 min before 8am, she said she will find out now. 25 min later I decided to take a Uba as it was now 8:15am and I was still waiting.. and it was late. I am so upset that the staff can not sick to a time schedule when it comes to dropping off Customers.

I bought a Renault duster that I love so much because of its uniqueness with lot of accessories. I bought in August this year at Renault fury amanzimtoti. On the 25th Nov I noticed that it was leaking water when it's raining. I called my salesman to inform him. He referred me to the person by the name of Lesley who booked my car in to be fixed and told me to prepare an amount of R1500 without even inspecting the car and know what causes the leak. I told her/ him that I won't prepare any payment because this is a brand new car and this seems like a factory fault. My car was then booked for 30th Dec and told in the afternoon that my car was no complete so I have to fetch it the following day, which I did. My car is leaking on the left side of its roof but when I fetched it, it had black taps on the right and I was warned not to remove them soon. Went away, few days it rained again and the leak was worse. My hubby took it back again on the 14th Dec could not be fixed on the same day and was booked for the 15th. He sent it back and was fixed brought back. On the 18th Dec it rained again and it's still leaking even today. I called Lesley again and She said she cannot book it anytime this week she can only book it next week. I asked if I have to keep a leaking car for the whole week that will result to more damage caused by the leak. She then said she will call me back. She then called me back and instructed to bring it tomorrow the 22 Dec. What I'm trying to emphasize here is that because the bank has already paid their money I the customer is left without being taken care of and I have lost trust in this company because of the way their representative treated me, but I have no choice to take a brand new car for repairs for the third time. This is really frustrating me.

Most pathetic service I have ever received!!! Since the day we have bought our Renault Duster we have had issues, it has been back and forth to Renault just for their incompetent workshop staff to tell us they do not see anything wrong. In January I had broken down with the Duster due to the boost pipe popping off, they came and towed the vehicle away and in the same time I sent a whole long list with the car of all the other issues that there was on the vehicle. Needless to say nothing was done other than them replacing the boost pipe. Still sitting with the issues, on the 17th September my husband broke down with the vehicle and it is still sitting inside of Renaults workshop. We hardly hear from them unless we phone them to find out what is happening and it doesnt even sound like they know themselves what is happening. Long story short, the boost pipes clip went into the engine, and for a car that only has 60 000km on the clock they just want to fix bits and pieces of the engine instead of replacing the engine. I do not want a vehicle with only 60000kms on with a engine that has worked on. The vehicle is still under warranty and of course we paying a lot of money for a vehicle, we expect proper service not the half slap ass service that we are receiving from Renault. after many attempts of trying to get ahold of someone higher than the workshop foreman we got the number for the general manager and without any surprise he basically told us its not his problem and we should speak to the workshop foreman.. Needless to say I do not even want the vehicle back and I will NEVER IN MY LIFE BUY ANY VEHICLE FROM RENAULT AGAIN!!!!!

Contacted the Amanzimtoti Renault to book a service. Spoke to the receptionist twice who indicated that someone will get back to me but failed to do so. I eventually managed to speak to someone from the service dept. but she was busy and indicated that she will call me back. After an hour, she called but the line was poor. I called her back and gave her a landline to call back but to date failed to call me back. It looks like this dealership is not interested in their clients and they seem to think that they are doing us a favour. The attitude sucks and they lack professionalism. Most disgusted service in the motor industry.
