I had three SQT treatments done at the Revive Wellness Spa. The day after my 3rd treatment my face started to bruise and turned purple on the left and right sides of my face. My skin then started to scab, it became very inflamed, sore and painful to the point where I was considering seeking medical treatment. I contacted the the****** to asked her if this was normal and sent her pictures of my face. She responded that it was normal and that the burning sunburn sensation was also normal as this was my 3rd session and the effects will be more intense. I contacted the the****** again that evening and sent her pictures as my skin had worsened to the point where matter started to come out. The the****** once again said to me that this was normal and different skins reacted differently to the treatment. I have the voice recordings and messages from the the******. My skin is now scared after the SQT treatment. I contacted the Manager at Revive Wellness Spa and had a meeting with her. The Manager asked me what amount I wanted in compensation and I informed her that I wasn't looking for compensation, that all I wanted was for the scar on my face to be gone and not to have an ongoing problem trying to manage this. The Manager stated that this was my face and no value could be placed on this, she further stated that the the****** had overworked my skin and that all their the******s received full training so this situation should not have happened. The Manager advised me that they will do bi-weekly sessions on my skin for the next few months, and hopefully by summer my skin would be healed. After my first treatment session for the scar, the the****** advised me that instead of weekly sessions they recommended sessions every 21 days. After only three sessions from Revive Wellness Spa, the the****** informed me last week that the next session will be my last as per her instructions from Management. She further stated that it was due to my negligence that this happened and said I needed to purchase expensive products, including melanin inhibitors to manage the scarring going forward. I was very surprised by her message and asked her to have her Management contact me as this contradicted what her Manager had stated to me. The Manager has not contacted me, and to my further surprise, the the****** has blocked me.

Despite the fact that revive holds no after sales service and refuses to take my experience into consideration..it has been almost 2 months since my SQT TREATMENT Which promises amazing results have failed yet again. Despite them scrubbing my skin and denying it, the SQT treatment did not deliver absolutely anything. I am left with highly ***mented skin which was not the case when I booked the treatment, though now my skin looks n feel terrible. I have broken out..****les..marks n over ***mented skin. They are absolutely ridiculous in their promises..as mentioned that my face was scrubbed I was left with sc**** marks as I went through the healing process. Extremely disappointed and do not recommend.

I've been waiting for my refund since from the day I made the payment everyday the lady called Asa keep on telling me they waiting for the finance department to refund since from the 7th of Aug banking details where sent but even now I haven't received my refund poor service I will rate them zero. 🙃

This was a message on February 7 on WhatsApp. Despite subsequent messages and phone calls, I have not heard about my refund. So I post this here in the hope they will respond to my numerous attempts to get a refund!!! *** For the record. I am well aware of the terms and conditions, which allow for at least a 50% refund. However, given what transpired yesterday, I am entitled to a full refund! Let me say, from the outset, that I am not in the business of attacking the messenger. Your front desk has always been courteous and professional with me. I would like to thank you for your genuine attempt to resolve the issue yesterday (Tuesday, February 6) However, the same cannot be said of some of the staff (the******s) who were on duty in the treatment area yesterday. Apart from the fact that my wife was left unattended, with no communication about the reason(s) for the delay, some of the staff also behaved very unprofessional in the presence (general surroundings) of clients (i.e. my wife and I). They engaged in a heated debate (argument) with each other and some more colourful language. There was also an incident in the elevator, when one staff member dropped an F-bomb on another staff member in the presence of my wife and me. I was offered a complimentary drink (coffee), but my wife was not. All this contributed to the agitated and emotional state my wife was in when we arrived back down at reception, 30 minutes after her treatment was meant to have started and where we raised the issue. At that stage, [my wife], for whom it was meant to be a special day, was too traumatised to remain on the premises. I would like to point out that my daughter is in the industry and worked as both a the****** and in a managerial role, so we are aware of what the acceptable standards and practices should be at a spa. They have an ongoing couples package that is made to look like it is one price per couple. Made an online purchase of this package and arrived with my partner. There were absolutely no issues upon our arrival. We got the treatment and upon exit, the receptionist calls me back and asks me if I had paid already. I showed her the emailed receipt and proof of payment. She then tells me that this is the price PER PERSON which is not listed on the site at all. And had this really been a concern then why was it not discussed with me upon arrival in order for me to make an informed decision? What if I didn’t have the extra R690 I was later forced and coerced to pay? She then admitted that it was an “error” on their side which has absolutely nothing to do with me and I shouldn’t have to suffer the consequences of their mistake if that is the case. The receptionist didn’t seem to care at all but was more focused on pressuring me and forcing me to pay another R690. It makes absolutely no sense and it is extremely upsetting. There is no way that something of this magnitude changes so suddenly without any explanation to the client whatsoever prior to the service. Extremely angered at the way that it was handled as well. It was a large sum of money to be debited TWICE without any warning. Very unfair on their part.

I had bookable couples retreat for myself and my daughter as she was celebrating her 12th birthday. Before our treatments started I had inquired with Venus if I will be getting an extraction with the facial and she said yes. During my facial I asked the beauty the****** why she is not doing an extraction and she said it does not include it. At this point I was unsettled as your staff do not know what the treatments entail. Our package included a cheese n chocolate board with champagne and juice. I had to go all the way down to reception to let them know we do not intend staying long so I requested they bring it asap. They brought it half n hour later. The juice was too diluted and the champagne didn't even have bubbles. Now I was highly irritated. My daughter had left her phone in the change room and when we were frantically looking for it, I called it and low and behold it was with the receptionist/ manager and it was clearly fiddled with as it was taken off mute. Your Manager (as she calls herself) then tell my daughter that she should not leave her phone laying around . The service was disgusting, the attitude of this so called Manager who had the nerve to tell my daughter that as if she bought the phone was un called for. I did not receive my money's worth intact I am so unhappy about yesterday We were given the cheese board in a polystyrene container to take home. Might I add the g****s here old and brown .

Superb service from head to toe! From beauty to hair to tasteful food. Can share my wonderful experience at this day spa. The staff are very professional and friendly. Excellent service. The salon is extremely clean from bottom to top floor. The hair stylists are very experienced and hands on. Will recommend the salon anytime. They also offer good specials and treatments. The food and drink menu is varied and platters delicious. A true good day out. Thank you to Leah and her team. Your service is highly valued and appreciated.
