Sort out the booking
I loved to food and bottomless mimososa but we arrived 15 minutes late and were told our booking was cancelled due to arriving 15 minutes late but on your website it does not state that booking is held for 10 minutes from the time it was booked. We got there at 13:14 and told our booking as taken but how is our booking taken in 15 minutes

Fabulous food!
Me and my husband have been going to this restaurant regularly since we met and got married over 13 year ago. It was our first date and the food has never disappointed in all the years. I have a passion for Vietnamese food as my sons grandfather was from there and I missed his home cooked food when he migrated. Well done on consistent quality and flavor Derek you always make us feel welcome!

Fabulous food!
Me and my husband have been going to this restaurant regularly since we met and got married over 13 year ago. It was our first date and the food has never disappointed in all the years. Outstanding service
Saigon Rivonia Outstanding service and attention to detail. The manager Derrick took his time to coach our through our 3 course Vietnamese experience. We had a blast. Thank you for the excellent service,we will definitely be back!

Outstanding service

SAIGON Restaurant - excellent food and service - consistently
Over the past 15 years I have regularly visited Saigon when in Cape Town and always found the food of a very high and consistent standard. Service has also been consistently good and as I have travelled very extensively in Japan, Hong Kong and other regions in the far East I can unreservedly say that Saigon serves amongst the most authentic and best food of its kind in South Africa. Highly recommended.

SAIGON Restaurant - excellent food and service - consistently
Over the past 15 years I have regularly visited Saigon when in Cape Town and always found the food of a very high and consistent standard. Service has also been consistently good and as I have travelled very extensively in Japan, Hong Kong and other regions in the far East I can unreservedly say that Saigon serves amongst the most authentic and best food of its kind in South Africa. Highly recommended.

Bad service - “fake” food - lack of good management
An old time favorite of mine that now has TOTALY lost it’s appeal ! On the night we had terribly bad service , there was not a smile or an attaentive moment through out the entire night . Struggling through that then came the worst part of the evening ..... MY FOOD ! As I don’t eat beef the surley waiter recommended I order the ramen noodles with chicken . It arrived on my table with chicken and big slices of beef in it; on complaining it was whipped away and with in seconds back on my table , now with no visible beef ...... well surprise ! surprise ! as I start eating the beef flavours and then bits of beef start bubbling up - the chef admitted later that he didn’t remake the dish but simply removed the slices of beef !@#$&* ?. So much for my convictions , the earth and and my personal challenge I have and live out around read meat eating - busted! what if this was an allergy or a religious stand against an ingredient I asked them not to serve me ? They don’t seem to care, do they .? Can you trust what is in their food?.....and just as a side comment , chicken and beef don’t taste good together ! In discussion with the manager later he offered me a free meal when I come back next time .....WHAT..@#$&!? come back ....you must be joking ! I was not looking for a freebie SAIGON. I was looking for good service and delicious trustworthy food ....I WON’T BE BACK EVER !

Robbed then ignored
I was robbed of my iPhone by a waiter on 20 January 2015 in the restaurant. He took it off the table in full view of the restaurant's CCTV cameras. He consequently even failed a polygraph test. To date, despite having dismissed the waiter, the management have not even offered me a free drink or even a meal to compensate for the loss and frustration, and were happy to charge me in full for my meal on the night of the theft despite having viewed the CCTV footage. I have been a loyal patron of this restaurant for years and must have spent thousands! I feel disrespected, fobbed off and can only laugh when they referred to me as a \VIP patron"in their lame apology email. If I am a VIP"
