We made a booking for Christmas lunch 2024. We had to pay in advance which we immediately did when we received the invoice. We paid the amount of R2,024.00 and our booking was confirmed. Subsequently Christmas lunch was cancelled due to a lack of interest. They did try to inform me about the cancellation, however did not have my contact details, save from an e-mail address at my office. At that time I was already on leave and did not have access to my emails at work. We arrived at the hotel on Christmas day and was informed about the cancellation. Since the 27th of December 2024 to date I have been struggling to get refunded. I made numerous phone calls to numerous employees at the hotel. Every time I am being informed that they will either get back to me or the payment has been approved and will be loaded on the system for payment. To this day no payment has been forthcoming. The only deduction that can be made is that the hotel is facing financial difficulties and is unable to refund us for something that we had to pay for but never enjoyed. I will not recommend this hotel to any of my friends or business partners.

Terrible service since arrival at the 5 star Sheraton hotel in Pretoria. Had to wait in a que for 1 and a half hours to book in. No chairs were offered to sit on or even something to drink while standing in the que. After mentioning our dissatisfaction, we were upgraded to a " better suite". In the suite the aircon did not work, there was no hot water in the bathroom, we were given a small heater to warm up the room, with no effect. The bathroom had no bathroom mats. The white bedding was an off white colour. Paid the hotel account when we booked in, only to be informed the night before we left that we were undercharged. The 3 nights spent in the hotel was a disaster from the beginning to the end and very disappointing, not what one would expect from a 5 star hotel. Would definitely not recommend this hotel to any locals or foreigners.

Worst Experience ever. Booked on Booking.com. Paid in full. Arrived same time as some UDM Political guests. Our rooms were given to others. We were told sorry we dont have rooms for you. We were very upset. And when we left to go to another hotel the managers laughed at us. What a ****** establishment. Service from the waitress Amanda and the Parking attendant and the Manager Lorenzo was shocking. Do NOT EVER stay at this sh#thole.

The hotel was dirty, dirty carpets, curtains, chairs, table cloths, it was bad, in this heat we couldn’t even have proper ventilation because the hotel owes the municipality, so their electricity was cut off. Their ba*****t parking was pitch black dark, stank, sewage water all over. The food was horrible, burnt, cooked in the open fire behind the conference rooms. This hotel honestly doesn’t deserve a 5 star rating it holds. We asked for fans because of the heat, the stuff was rude and asked us didn’t we know that there is no electricity, that they haven’t had power since a week ago, their generator kept switching off every hour, at some point it went off while i was in the lift 😩.

This the second time coming to this hotel that the linen is dirty, and there are ****roaches in the rooms, the air conditioning is not working and the receptionist checking me in decided not to inform me that the pool and the air conditioning are not working. They were just hostile and unfriendly. I’m livid didn’t even go for breakfast because of the roaches …. Yuck 🤮

In what world is this hotel where the staff beg for tips around every corner and charge you absurd rates just to get a drink poured for you at their restaurants justify the 5 stars? I do not think that this hotel makes that cut at all. The room filled with ****roaches. We have to call front desk and ask to change room at 10:30PM. Food is edible at best. We ordered sirloin steak and fish&chip, both of us can’t finish as they were bad. Of course, this cost nearly R1000. The buffet is just as lacklustre. Spa room is scary. No AC on, we had little fan which making funny noise. Massage is fine. The hotel really need to change ASAP. We probably won’t come back ever again. The price is not work what you get. Two stars is being generous.

There were problems right from the check-in at the hotel. We did not receive the numbers we ordered. We had booked rooms on the high floors with a beautiful view of the garden. We were given a room on the 1st floor with a view of the parking lot. The attitude of the staff is unpleasant and unresponsive, yet they expected to be tipped around every corner. When we finally got a room on a higher floor, we had a surprise with the balcony door - its glass was broken. Not to mention the cleanliness, the cleanliness of the room does not correspond to a five-star hotel but a 3-star MAYBE, and the cleaning takes place in the late afternoon. An unpleasant aroma on the first seven floors every morning. The fan sounds very loud that it is impossible to sleep. The food at breakfast is bad, definitely not worth taking breakfast. The list of small issues that should not exist in a 5 star hotel were endless. They should be demoted. It was not always this way. I think that it is because the area has become... they have gone downhill.
