Simply Financial Services
Based on recent customer reviews, Simply Financial Services receives polarized feedback. Satisfied customers praise affordable premiums, a simple claims process and friendly, patient staff who pay out funeral claims quickly. However, a significant number of customers report unauthorized policies opened via brokers with unexplained salary deductions, continued debits after cancellation, delayed refunds and poor claims communication. Repeated complaints highlight a lack of transparency around broker-initiated policies and slow administrative responses, leaving customers feeling ignored during stressful times.

I am really unhappy with the service received from Bukiwe Zilwa from Simply Financial Services as well as the company as a whole. I submitted all claims documents on more than 2 weeks ago and have been harrassed for additional documents not disclosed on the website or policy documents as a stall tactic for my claim. I have complained about the service and still get generic emails from Bukiwe stating each time "the claim is still under assessment". This is not what a grieving family needs or what you expect when taking out group cover for yourself, loved ones and employees. Even my funeral claim took much longer than the required 48 hours and was only paid out because I kept pushing for feedback. I feel like I am being ****** and Simply is stalling and trying to find a reason not to pay A LEGITAMITE claim. I want someone more senior than Bukiwe to handle my claim and properly reach out to me and explain what is taking so long. In the meantime - AVOID having your money ****** and taking out any policy with Simply. Do not believe what their website or policy documents tell you, they simply do not want to pay out claims.

Good day, it looks like I may have given you the good rating too early. A policy that was canceled in AUGUST 2025 is still deducting on my salary. WHAT IS THE MAIN PROBLEM? PLEASE STOP TAKING MY MONEY!! All the staff are not helpful and I told Avuyile from Simply Financial Services to make sure it does not deduct in November when I was requesting for my refund. Kindly refund my money before end of business today and remove me from your database. What a horrible experience

I opened a policy online with Simply and was quoted a premium of R391.00, which I accepted. Shortly afterwards, I received a call from a consultant who quoted me for another policy. Believing the call was in relation to my existing R391.00 policy, I engaged with her. Without my consent, she activated a second policy for R380.00. I did not authorise this policy and only recognise the one I accepted online at R391.00. Simply debited R380.00 from my FNB account on 31 October 2025 in relation to this policy, the R391.00 was also debited. I contacted Simply to cancel the R300 policy (MZWKAL251015DT) and despite sending multiple emails requesting a refund, I have received a positive response. I demand that Simply refund the R380.00 immediately, as this policy was unauthorised and cancelled within the cooling‑off period. The only valid policy I hold is the one with the premium of R391.00. This lack of transparency and failure to respond to my refund request is unacceptable. I expect urgent resolution and confirmation that only my authorised policy remains active. Desired Outcome: • Refund of R380.00 to my bank account • Written confirmation that only my R391.00 policy is active

I had the worse experience with Simply Financial Services. I insured my self and family, affordable premiums I must say but the problem started when I changed from salary deduction to a debit order. Asavela assured me that I will no longer get a salary deduction only to be debited on my salary and on my debit order. I had to move my money to avoid the double debit. This was after I questioned why am I recieving a statement from Imas about salary deduction and Malwande assured me it will be a debit and I even accepted the debicheck. After their dishonesty I canceled all my funeral covers with them. I did this on the 25th of August and cancelation was completed on the 26th of August. Now SIMPLY FINANCIAL SERVICES had ENOUGH TIME to Le IMAS know of these changes but THEY DID NOT AND THEY DEBITED MY MONEY AGAIN!!! Now Asavela is telling me again that I have to wait for 15th of October 2025 to get my refund. How??? Why was I not told this information upon cancelation???? A month later? They failed to do their job.. I want my money today, I will not wait for the 15th of October!!!!
