What a let-down Friday night. For my b-day we went to Smooch Menlyn...

*Horrible small unbranded polystyrene cups, no branded deep paper cups
*Only about 7 of the +/- 12 pumps had flavours in them, very plain flavours. Chocolate, Yoghurt, Sherbet, Strawberry. The other pumps were empty.
*Of the +/-40 topping trays, only about 6 had anything in! The rest were empty! Only Sprinkles, Oats, Romany creams, rock hard old candy and even much harder gummy chewy sweets and sour worms.
*Syrup bottles had hair on the squirt tips
*Some of the staff were sitting against the back wall eating with the froyo s****s, not really interested in me asking questions, but more interested in each others' conversation!
* Terrible!!!

I purchased three flavors (biscotti, English toffee and bar one) Saturday, 4th of February 2017, at the Canal Walk branch, which 2 of them tasted off (Biscotti- Definitely off as it tasted like sour milk and bar one- tasted a little off) for R60- R70. The English toffee tasted fine, so I ate around the other flavors, however threw everything away after a few bites. Three hours later I was so sick (vomiting and diarrhea, which meant I had food poisoning). I am sure I am not the only one whom got sick. Their products are quite expensive therefore one would not expect such bad quality.

So after doing some shopping, myself and a friend decided to have some frozen yoghurt. We went to the machine, got two cups of strawberry yoghurt and went to the cashier. I almost had a heart attack when the cashier told me that the two cups (less than 1lt), would be R98, making this yoghurt the most expensive yoghurt ever made by man. I gather that for the price it contains Unicorn blood, platinum flakes and faerie dust! That's the only way one can explain R98 for less than 1lt of yoghurt. Daiybell has a premium line of yoghurt, and you'll get 1lt for less than R50!!!!!! Clearly whoever is runnign Smooch is trying to save up to buy a Ferrari.........for each of his/her staff members! Daylight robbery should be outlawed in SA! You do realize that most South Africans are paid in Rands and not US Dollars do you!?

On sunday after church we went to Smooch East Rand Mall. After sitting down the owner approached us in front of all the customers screaming that we have paid with a torn R 100 note - my husband took back the torn note and replaced it with a new note. We then explained that her attitude was totally uncalled for and that she could have approached us in a calm manner without putting up such a huge scene - she didnt seem very interested and was sending messages while we were speaking to her.

East Rand Mall Smooch will not see us ever again !!!!!!!!!! The owner is extremely rude and unprofessional !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have visited your shop in lifestyle Centre twice recently. Half your machines are out of order and some that work is not working properly and is like water. Really very disappointed. Will never visit any smooch again.

I love my smooch and take advantage of any opportunity to fill a tub. My mom and I were at Heathway Centre on Friday afternoon. We decided to pop into the Smooch store and we were pretty shocked. First there were only 2 of the 4 machines working, the other 2 were refreshing or whatever. 1 of the working machines only had 1 flavour option. This is crazy to me as the centre was completely quiet but ok we put it down to bad timing on our part. We then proceeded to the toppings which were either empty, surrounded by bees or stale! The toppings are usually so beautifully presented at any other store. We managed to find a topping or 2, proceeded to pay and sat at the table outside the store which was so terribly dirty it looked like it hadn't been wiped down for days. Pretty disappointing.

I suppose the reason why no prices are displayed at smooch is to ensure that people will end up actually trying out their \frozen yogurt". At R72 it definitely wasn't cheap. And that was without any toppings or extras. But what made it even worse was that it tasted like watered down ice cream. If you're going to charge a premium for this so called frozen yogurt at least make sure it tastes like a superior product. And perhaps staff should be trained to tell customers to release the excess melted ice cream from the dispensers before they fill their cup. But I'll take this as a learning experience. I've learnt that I'll never go to another Smooch again and nor will I ever recommend the brand to anyone else."""

We went for ice cream at Smooch on Saturday 17th of October. not only is the place a bit disorganised but the two ladies working behind the tills have the worst attitude I think I have ever experienced. When we wanted to pay I had to ask her, how much? She pointed at the till, took my card and continued to shout at the top of her voice to someone else across the room. It was like I was doing her a favor by buying ice cream there. it will be THE LAST TIME i ever go there again.
