I attended a wedding there a few days ago. The staff got drinks orders mixed up or the drinks just never arrived. One of our party had to go and tell the staff to be quiet while the speeches were being made, one of the waiters told the bride that someone had told them to charge the drinks to the room when the person had already paid for the drinks. All in all, it was just an extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience. They definitely don't deserve their 4 star rating. They have a ramp that leads onto the lawn, which is very slippery. I noticed in previous years reviews on their website, that many people have complained about the ramp, amongst other issues, which have never been attended to.

St Andrews Hotel & Spa Booked for a POWER SPRING PACKAGE 2 for my daughter and myself. Wanted to treat my daughter to a special Spa Day as we both needed this. We arrived at reception, no juice, tea, coffee or water on arrival, as advertised Shut off to any view, as advertised. The lunch was a disgrace, a bread roll and cold sausage roll, it was advertised as a savoury platter, nothing like this should be served at a Spa. We did not touch the lunch, but no-one asked or checked. When finished, 2 glasses of water were served on the reception desk. We drank them while paying. Phoned the hotel to complain about the Spa, just to find out that the Spa is not affiliated with the hotel in any way, totally separate? Is it right to advertise this Spa under the name of " St Andrews Hotel & Spa " ? After complaining we were offered a free body massage, but obviously this was not an option !! We were told 'No refund', even a portion thereof. Totally unprofessional and an expensive lesson.

On Saturday, 25th November, I hosted a baby shower at this venue. We had agreed on a high tea set up. I reiterated about 3 or 4 times that the food must be 80% savoury as we were going to have 2 cakes that will cover for the sweet stuff. Came the day, 95% of the food was sweet stuff. A cherry on top, the 2 people that knew about the baby shower, Marc and Chantelle, were not in on the weekend, which is not a problem, but the least they could do was inform the event's manager on duty. When I spoke to Jane on Saturday morning, she had no clue about a baby shower because no one bothered to tell her and mind you I had been planning this event since August. I honestly wish I could turn back the hands of time and select a different venue, but now I know, this is definitely not a 5 star as they claim and will never use their services again. What a let down!

After emailing Patrizia the manager of the spa after a disappointing experience for my friends birthday, I got a positive response from Patrizia inviting us back for a complimentary treatment at the spa.

Then I get a response the following day implying its my fault that not enough time was allocated for our treatments. It seems that the offer of a complimentary treatment has been withdrawn.

Unfortunately part of the booking was done over the phone and other on email. I asked my colleague to phone and confirm duration of treatments. As received in writing a gelish manicure and pedicure would take 30 minutes each-after my colleague phoned, it is between 45 minutes to an hour each.

The full body massage was great, however, the pedicure and manicure was not up to standard at all and 3 days after the treatment my gelish paint is chipping on my nails.

When booking for two people, a full body massage, a manicure and pedicure. Then confirming 3 days before the treatments that both of us would like our hair washed and blow dried as we were going out for lunch after the treatments that only one booking had been made. Luckily the hair dresser could accommodate us both and all wasn't lost
