Terrible Customer Service, and do not abide by Consumer Protection Act
Terrible experience at Startline Strand. Bought a new battery on Saturday, but it was a "Made in China" dud. Charged to 12.8 V but no amperage! Asked for a full refund a couple of days later so that I could buy a better quality battery elsewhere and was told that they do not do refunds!!! In terms of S16 of the CPA, if a consumer has bought goods, then for a period of 5 days after receiving the goods, the consumer can: return the goods, cancel the entire contract without penalty, and receive a full refund. So Startline are in breach of the Consumer Protection Act. ****py company that sells poor quality merchandise and more concerned about a few Rands than customer satisfaction. I would not recommend this company.

Disgusting service at Startline New Germany Pinetown
Terrible customer service I went to return a tube and the manager just burst out on me stating if i say the quality isnt good on this tube the whole store isnt good enough for me She then said she will refund me cash and cannot sell any product to me I said no i cannot accept that i want to see the owner or higher management She then said no she wont call him After 20 mins the owner comes and takes his staffs side without even hearing the story I was furious I walked out Can a store refuse to serve you if you drove 2 hours just to return and buy parts? What is this country coming too?

In December 2019 - 6 months after the purchase of a motorbike battery - the battery died. It was taken to them and they replaced the battery with another brand of battery. again 9 months later their battery died and when I called to speak to the lady she said there is nothing they can do and I should purchase a battery elsewhere.

Inferior quality Premium prices
terrible policy on electrical component sold ,inferior quality at premium prices, I bought a starter solenoid asked three time if its working and was re-assured it is but I was told I cannot return it if its not and took it home plugged it in and guess what, it did not work, cant even argue the case as they tell you in advance it is not returnable, they should be able to prove working order if they want to stand by this policy....again terrible, i feel horrible and ripped off
