Worst experience ever. Ordered a new package and was told that there was no cost involved and that it was a simple transition on their side. Ended up having to put in a new fibre cable at the cost of R1500. The package was advertised at 240/120 for R875 when I app**** and then I was told it is now R939!!!! Try speaking to an agent. Impossible. You are stuck with *********** people hiding behind WhatsApp. And as soon as they tire of you they transfer you and the process starts again. Or you are just left hanging. Or they just close shop in the middle of a conversation because it is 18:00. After the install, the speed was about 100/120, a far cry from what I paid for! Unacceptable. I am still left hanging after 30 min with an option from a kind Bot to end the chat. And I am still uncertain if I am going to be double billed as I try to make sense of the fact that although I app**** almost a month ago, they have already invoiced me for my previous package. Now they say they are closed!!!!!! Any recommendations for a decent service provider.
Amazing service from a very knowledgable team. My vehicle was recovered from deep in the Cederberg and I was soon back on the road thanks to their assistance. I would fully recommend this company for any towing or vehicle repairs. Thank you Johan and Willem!
Booked and paid for 5 nights in Stellenbosch for a guest. When the guest arrived at the address, there was no accommodation as the room hired through Booking.com was *****ulent, and did not exist. The response from Booking.com was "Kindly dispute the charge with your bank or payment provider"! People use a reputable platform like AirBnB, Lekkerslaap, or Booking.com etc precisely to avoid the risk of being ****med! This is further proof that Booking.com is not reputable, and should be avoided at all costs as evidenced by over 2000, 1-star ratings and one of the lowest HelloPeter ratings ever witnessed of 1.1!
Terrible experience at Startline Strand. Bought a new battery on Saturday, but it was a "Made in China" dud. Charged to 12.8 V but no amperage! Asked for a full refund a couple of days later so that I could buy a better quality battery elsewhere and was told that they do not do refunds!!! In terms of S16 of the CPA, if a consumer has bought goods, then for a period of 5 days after receiving the goods, the consumer can: return the goods, cancel the entire contract without penalty, and receive a full refund. So Startline are in breach of the Consumer Protection Act. ****py company that sells poor quality merchandise and more concerned about a few Rands than customer satisfaction. I would not recommend this company.
What promised to be a pleasant experience turned out to be just the opposite. My son had saved up to buy a fragrance and after being let down by another major retailer, was delighted to see his choice on sale at Mopani for the same discounted price. While browsing the site, we enjoyed reading their start from humble beginnings to where they are today. This illusion of service excellence crashed to a sad reality when we were notified for the second time, that, although our purchase was successful, they no longer carried stock. What may once have been a family business with a human touch was reduced to an impersonal email and a refund. Another dissatisfied customer who will think twice before buying at Mopane.
Ordered a men's fragrance online at a good sale price. Order was just cancelled after a week as they said they no longer had the item. Disgusting customer service support. Will never shop online at Truworth again.
Received a new debit card but there was no default pin attached. Called the help center and the phone was picked up and put on the counter and the call ignored. Had to order a new card to solve the problem. Was assisted on the second call by a very helpful lady.
Exceptional service from Hirsch's Somerset West. We bought an expensive Bosch fridge just prior to lockdown, but could only install the unit once we had completed our kitchen renovation once restrictions were slowly lifted later in the year. The fridge was faulty and although a friendly Bosch agent tried to solve the issues, Hirsch's replaced the fridge to keep a client happy. I highly recommend this company for all household appliances and commend them on their professional service and positive attitude.
According to their ad, we purchased Dimple Floor Tiles which were listed as robust and 7.5mm in thickness. When these arrived they were 4.5 mm in thickness. It was the thickness of the tiles (7.5mm) that attracted us to make a purchase. We were cheated and misrepresented which is unacceptable. The last three times I have made a purchase with this company the goods either broke or did not work. I do not recommend any of their "specials", no matter how enticing they look. Impossible to get a response from the vender, even after 5 emails!!
I totally recommend this company for their excellent aftersales service and helpful staff. An expensive sink that developed a hairline crack was replaced with a smile. Thank you Candy and staff.
