2 September 2024 I walked into the new store in New Market Mall in Alberton. I see a bar fridge and the price is R2100.00. I took some measerment and told the sales lady I will be back soon, as I need to see if the bar fridge will fit. Satisfied it will fit, I return to do the purchase. All of a sudden I was informed that the price now is R2900.00 LOL Stax will never see me again.

Not even one star is appropriate for Stax. I purchased a JBL 2.1 deep bass on July 20, 2024. I was misled by a salesman named Clement Phosoko into believing that the soundbar was an excellent deep bass soundbar. Before I buy it, I requested him to test the soundbar that was on show on the floor. He said that he did have a remote, but it is buried deep in the warehouse boxes, so he can't test the sound with it. He reassured me that I wouldn't regret purchasing it and that the bass sound was excellent. He spoke in a way that I understood. After testing the soundbar at home, I discovered that the bass was really low in the sound. On July 21, 2024, I returned it and informed him that the sound quality was really low and subpar. He contacted Anthony Nkosi, his supervisor, and I informed him of the awful and extremely low sound quality, particularly with the bass. Anthony informs me that they are unable to repackage the soundbar, thus they will not accept it back. Anthony remarked, "I want to bring the soundbar back because I partied with it." I questioned him about whether or not he had read the store's return policy. He declined. Anthony is the worst supervisor ever to have been hired by his company. Salesmen like Clement and Anthony are the employees that give a company a very bad name and reputations.

Useless store. I purchased a LG Series 90 TV from Stax last week Friday. As it was on special (nearly 50% off) I knew that it may sell out fast so I called ahead and made sure that the TV was still in stock to which Stax confirmed it was. I pad over R25 000.00 for the TV and I recieved an order number and invoice from them, A day later, I was not contacted the store to indicate when the TV was to be delivered. When I called, I dealt with a lady by the name of Petra. She told me that there was no stock available and when I insisted that that was not acceptable, she agreed to ascertain if her buyers would be able to source one for me and that she would get back to me. She did not. I called again and she stated that there was not stock available and I therefore requested a refund. She informed me that the refund would take 5 to 10 working days and I requested that she provided me with an email confirmation that the refund has been placed. To date and despite calling 3 times, I have not received any confirmation that the refund has been submitted. I have to proceed with legal action against these people as they are dishonest and cannot and will not provide me with proof that the refund was even submitted. Pathetic.

I purchased a Philips Airfryer at Stax Dunkeld for R2599. On my way home I saw a Hirschs advert for the same item for R1699. I decided to return the one bought at Dunkeld Stax and save R900. The complete and untouched package and receipt had not left my car. The next day I returned with my purchase to Stax Dunkeld and told them I wanted to return it for a refund. The manager of Stax Dunkeld would not accept it, he told me I wouldn’t be able to return a car if I had bought one and found it cheaper somewhere else. He said they don’t do refunds. He said I should have done my homework before buying from them. Exact words. When I looked at their online purchases it will refund you in 7 days but if you buy in store according to the manager forget it. Wonderful staff at Stax Dunkeld, always a pleasure to be served by them but my experience of this manager has left a very bitter taste and I doubt I will ever purchase there again.

Stax in Dunkeld sold us a cracked TV screen and not willing to listen, as they told us to write an email to they complaints department which they refusing to check their mails and respond to the query in writing. I alert the public that this store operations in Dunkeld and Woodlands should be closed down and you should not support such stores as they sell you damaged goods Armandt the store Manager at Woodlands store stated that you should take us the queries at another store and we could go ahead and report them to the customer consumer act with no care or respect to his clients that keep their business alive through supporting them
