i spent R3900.00 and waited 2.5 days for them to sort out rear wheel bearings due to a humming noise coming from the rear. After collecting the car, the same noise is there and they insist that bearings were changed and the noise is something else. poor service from a very expensive workshop.i must now go pay someone else to sort out what i spent r4000.00 TO SOLVE.

I'm new in the Pretoria area and decided to try them out. I took my E240 Mercedes-Benz to them on 9 May 2025 as I knew that the lower control arm bush was faulty. They charged me R200 to check the suspension and carry out a test drive. I didn't tell them that I am actually a qualified Mercedes-Benz and BMW Technician and have been in the Motor Industry for the past 20 years! I waited a very long time in store for them to produce the quote for the repair. Eventually they provided me with a quote to replace the following Parts: 1.Front Shocks (was actually faulty) 2.Rear Shocks 3.Some Unheard-of-Bush (they were unable to explain what this was) 4.Lower Ball Joints 5.Steering Rack Ends 6.Tie Rod Ends 7.Stabilizer Links 8.Stabilizer Bushes (was actually faulty) 9. Lower Control Arm Bush Amount : R23 100.00 I was immediately suspicious! If this was the case my vehicle would be unstable and uncontrollable on the roads! I then took my vehicle to a friend's workshop - Gas ****** xyz (AN RMI APPROVED WORKSHOP) all the way down in Alberton. We found that the bushes that require replacement would not cost more than R600.00 and I did buy the front shocks at a Cost price of R1000 each (quoted R3800 each). I estimate that the total repair would cost me about R3500 and definitely not R23000! I took the vehicle to Supa Quick in Pretoria North on the 13th to fit the shocks and even they didn't find any faults on the suspension. It's a pity that we are unable to upload pictures or videos on this platform but anyone is welcome to request the pictures and videos of my suspension for further proof. When I confronted Syd's Suspension, I was told that it was unprofessional to have someone else look at the quote and assess the vehicle and that I am not welcome there as a customer. I do sympathize with vehicle owners who are not technically inclined and take their vehicles to such places for repairs.

I then took my vehicle to a friend's workshop - Gas ****** Customs (AN RMI APPROVED WORKSHOP) all the way down in Alberton! We found that the bushes that require replacement would not cost more than R1800.00 and I did buy the front shocks at a discounted price of R1000 each (quoted R3800 each). I was ****med that my car needs a replacement of new lower control rubbers which costs R900. 00. I visited the workshop on the 8th of January 2025 because my car had knocking noises underneath around the steering wheel sides. The car was tested and they reported that it needs steering rack reconditioning of R5800. 00, lower control rubber x 2 of R900, new tie rods ends of R595. 00 and service charge of R1950. 00., wheel alignment r360. 00. Not knowing much about suspension first I agreed to the report and because the parts and service cost that much, I then decided for second option from other technicians until I got very good price. At that moment I started contacting couple of car spare parts searching for the lower control rubbers so that I can get the control arm sorted. But also I was not pleased because I was told previously months ago by another mechanic that the control arm is still in good order since it was not long replaced. So I was shocked and disappointed about the recent report from syed suspension parts plus the previous report about the condition of the control arm. After the steering wheel was reconditioned I continued to loom for the lower control rubbers but at that time I then took my car to the mechanic in preparation get the control lower rubber fitted. The mechanic then just look at the control arm and said it is still in good condition and I don't need to replace the rubbers. I was completely confused and I asked him to take the control arm out so that I can take it to the car spares so that I can literally compare it to the the new ones and shocking the control arm was good as gold and perfect. I then decided to go back to discuss this matter to their manager to make them aware that their company is falsely diagnosing our cars with the idea of robbing customers so they can make money. When I spoke to one of the staff he was not interested in listening to me and also blaming me that by taking my car somewhere else would not help me and there is nothing wrong the company has done. He also referred to the person who did the diagnosis to talk with me but that person was only interested with the return policy of the items that I wanted refund. I told him that I am talking about the false diagnosis of replacing the lower control rubbers and he too was not interested with the wrong diagnosis. Both of them didn't care about what they trued to **** me about and both believed I am stupid. Lastly I was angry about their Return policy where the company takes 30 % of handling fee. I was never told before I make payment about the 30% handling fee and every where around the reception there is no notice about the 30% handling fee at all and I lost R160. 00 with that policy and I was very much angry over that. I asked the cashier about why I was not informed about their 30% handling fee and she said that it is written on the receipt and I said the receipt comes after I made payment so is it how you robb customers by hiding information and afterwards you claim your policy on a receipt which comes after I paid you. I was very angry and I will even write to consumer council about the way they hide information to please themselves . 30% handling fee which is equivalent to loss of 50% and also that is ****ming innocent customers and lots of spares like naskar, alert part, they don't take such money at all. Syed suspension is very greedy and the same staff who did diagnosis has a very bad attitude and thinks he control customers. He was even refusing me to buy the parts because he knew he was *****ing me. Syde suspension parts is a shameful operating company

I recently had the front suspension on my 2013 Mercedes Viano upgraded by Syd's suspension Parts and wholeheartedly and willingly recommend them to any and all that have suspension problems. The service of father (Syd) and his son (Ameer) were absolutely professional and friendly and they both went out of their way to attend to my problem and resolve my issues. They are situated at 192 Vom Hagen street Pretoria West tel 0824979685

Gladnie happy

I took my car in to replace some suspension parts. They broke the door handle. I replaced it and Syd the owner refused to reimburse me for the costs. He even shouted at me on the phone and told me to " **** off".
