I would appreciate it if this people can check their emails or answer their phones. Since moving into our house 3 months ago, we've been struggling to get hold of them to remove their submeter box. We've sent emails, trying to phone everyday but no luck. We bought the house with a seperate entrance which has a sub meter box installed and we'd like to remove it. But no luck in finding them. The submeter box uses 100% electricity from the main box inside our house. We are not being reimbursed for this as the details they have are the previous owners. We got 5 units for R50 only, this is a total *******. We need to remove this sub meter box asap please.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Fine was issued beginning of April. Made contact with Syntell via the e-mail platform & requested payment options as the fine was issued outside our residential area. Received a document with banking details and depositing instructions. Payment was made and POP sent through. Fine was never removed. Followed up with the person who provided the banking information, and was advised it’s the wrong information and that they don’t provide a service to the area - since 2023 -we need to request a refund from the bank and repay the fine. After 2 hours at the bank no joy because the payment reversal needs to be requested within 40 days. Not 6 months. Syntell didn’t take any responsibility and referred us back to the Municipality (lady gets 5 stars for patience and assistance) who could assist any further as the problem started at Syntell side. We had to repay the fine on the Paycity platform. Now R1500 is floating around in some account no one wants to claim or take credit for the wrong information. Where can I escalate it to or contact someone who can help recover the money?

COMPLIMENT - I had a great experience with Noxolo Ndayi from Syntell. I had to request for a refund of an electricity voucher which did not load due to a technical issue linked to my meter. I initially spoke to Shakeel and he logged the initial call to have the money debited from my credit card in purchase of that electricity voucher refunded back to me. The call stayed open for 48hrs even though I was advised it would be a 24hr TAT. When I called back in I spoke to Noxolo Ndayi, who immediately advised that the delay was caused by the technical error and she had to escalate to PEC for resolution of that first so that I could thereafter be refunded. She lodged the escalation and even though it took a further 2 business days to resolve, Noxolo ensured to call me on each day to offer an update and to ensure that the refund received priority attention due to the delay. Just got my refund today and also received an email from Noxolo advising of the same. Really very pleased with how she managed to turn around my customer experience and took responsibility to ensure that my request was finalised expeditiously and without any further pain. She is indeed a great reflection of Syntell and its commitment to offer quality service to all its customers. Enkosi Noxolo!!
