I’m an absolute fanatic of Tasha’s, so being in Durban to visit my family and treat them to dinner while in Gateway last night (26/04/2019) Tasha’s Umhlanga sounded fitting!. Sadly we( with my 2 year old son n family) got seated next to two drunk females that decided to my the restaurant thier personal lounge with thier dirty smell feet spread out on the couch we were seated at. I raised this with the waitress and said this was unacceptable as one of them literally had her feet almost touching my mom and she agreed it was not right and tried to speak to the females but they refused to move thier feet from the couch, the manager then got involved and all hell broke loose has they started disrespecting me and calling me names over and over again, my mom tried to call the situation down and the one female started shouting at her. We were offered a different seat but decided to leave the restaurant as management was unable to detain the name calling and bullying. I’m so disappointed because I love Tasha’s in Gauteng but after what we experienced last night we will never return to Tasha’s Gateway. :(

The restaurant lost my luggage almost a year ago and they promised to pay me for the loss. Now they keep dodging my calls and the old lady who is the mother of the owner is so rude to me.

I am a regular at Tashas, and my favorite dish are the salmon fish cakes. Last week I ordered it and the waiter informed me that there was a change in the menu and that it no longer came with avocado. I agreed to have it. When the meal arrived it was totally different, there was no longer a green salad which in the past made up more than 60% of the plate. (I was not informed by my waitress who barely spoke English fluently) I asked to speak to the manager. He seemed quiet defensive and rude from the beginning. Even though i greeted him with a smile and explained myself to him in a very curtious and pleasant way. His response was that i should call the head office in cape town to complain. I guess I only wanted an apology and an explanation to the change. For I would never order my favorite meal again (which i travelled out of my way for). A company like Tashas should have exceptional management whom ensure their guests are taken care of.

Came in at Tasha's was not greeted not even shown or escorted to a table but rather was pointed to a direction where I would find a table, a waitress by the name of Phindile (who had pointed me to the table,I had to ask her name from another waitress) came and threw menu's at me and my friend, she then went to a table behind me to approach the lady who was dinning about the recruitment process at oysterbox. I had to complain before I received attention. Worst service ever, if this is how people are being treated it's indeed sad.

Waitrons treat people according to their dresscode. My waitress couldn't even smile and be courteous. I didn't order food I just left after my tea I was so upset. While handing me my change she didn't even look at me. As a person in the food industry it upsets me that staff are not trained to treat everyone with respect and kindness.
