If I could give NEGATIVE stars I would. Thinus was aggressive and very rude when I asked him a dozen times to return my borrowed cage. He is late in delivering animals jeopardising their health. Also didn't water and probably didn't feed the poultry I sent with him. His vehicle is filthy and cramped. He shouldn't be allowed to handle animals. I have alerted the SPCA because of the incredibly unhygienic conditions in his Corsa bakkie. No airflow, tiny little crates, all sorts of poultry, animals etc crammed to this hovel of bakkie. There are 1 or 2 other couriers who are reputable. He is NOT. Stay away!!!

Should have read Hellopeter reviews before contacting Carleen Bond of The Pets Taxi to transport my furbabies! I see two other people have had very similar experiences as myself. Paid Carleen Bond from The Pets Taxi upfront to move my two puppies from JHB to Canada, which was done, but not without incident and additional costs to myself, and then two cats from JHB to Gold Coast, Australia. Carleen made mistakes that were expensive financially, time wise and emotionally, and always expected me to pay the bills for her errors - to cut a very long story short, what should have been a 1 month kennel period in South Africa for the cats and travel, ended up being 9 months and a whole lot more paid to Carleen than her original quote. After 8 months I gave her one final chance to fulfil her mandate, again she was unable to do so. Left with no other option, I then had to pay another company to step in and do what Carleen had been paid to do but was unable to complete. The new company took all of three weeks, during the Covid19 lockdown, and my babies arrived safely in Australia. There was constantly one excuse after another from Carleen, always blaming someone else and not been willing to take responsibility. When finally my cats arrived, thanks to my work and input with no assistance from her at all, I e-mailed her suggesting that she sends me a list of her expenses which could be off-set against the money she needs to repay me, plus the additional costs that I had to incur due to her errors and constant delays. Needless to say, there has been no response at all from her and it would appear that she is now refusing to repay the money she has used and had for 9 months. It appears that she accepted payment for a job she was not able to do / had no intention of doing, and from the other two reviews, this appears to be normal, as does a total shut off of communications. She does not appear to worry about been exposed, about being reported to the Pet Travel Association, about being a Pastor and not returning what is not hers, and does not appear to worry about what damage this may do to her company. All actions that I would have preferred not to take. I have contacted an attorney who will fight this for me, costing her more in the long run than it is worth, but this seems to be the way she likes to operate. It would be extremely irresponsible of me not to warn other who may consider entrusting their precious fur babies into her care and for me to allow her to again, take money for a service she was unable to complete. For anyone considering using The Pets Taxi or Carleen, consider that from these three reviews, and my personal experience it appears that she chooses to operates like this and is not concerned about her company's reputation, the pets that are entrusted to her or the undertaking and promises that are made. People are incredibly emotional about their furbabies, which seems to be what she plays on, the lack of care and concern to deliver a professional job, in my opinion is sorely lacking.

This is for animal lovers out there!!! The service i received from this company was absolutely shocking!!! All promises and lies as I had to hound them, chase them or remind them to send me information and when i did get information it was incorrect and i incurred additional expenses due to this. I am flying my 2 pekingnese to Australia and due to them being categorised as snub noses they are only permitted to fly during certain times of the year and snub noses are not permitted to fly after the 30th April to Dubai due to the humidity and their breathing problems. I highlighted the fact that my boy has asthma but we were quoted this route to Dubai - to me this is just negligent!! I paid my deposit on the 7th January 2019 and cancelled on the 28th January 2019 as the trust i instilled in them was completely shattered as no work had been done on my account as i later discovered by making a few phone calls. I have also spoken to a few past customers who experienced bad experiences. Now my problem lies with my deposit being paid and they refuse / are taking their time to reimburse me and now i get informed that they will pay me back what they think they feel i am entitled to which i feel is unfair due to absolutely no work being done on this as we made 99% of the contact to try get information out of them - which most was unreliable. I would like to see a company registration number as this does not appear on any website nor, quotations or invoice (not vat number either). All this is so unneccesary so instead of reimbursing me they prefer to have reviews like this exposing them to loss of business which will be more than my deposit owed. I want my deposit back in full or i am going to post a review on every legitimate site to warn others.

<p>A mother and son company that charged me R8900.00 to get my puppies from Western Cape to KZN - and demanded money up front - and then when the day come were completely unreachable and I ended up having to book flights seperately for my puppies, pay for kenelling and there has been zero apology.</p> <p> </p> <p>I asked for my money back - and they decided that R1500 was all I deserved even though their mess up has cost me a further R2000. Not once did they phone the airline to check if my puppies had made it onto the plane (which they hadnt). I had to phone the airline and be told that my puppies were on standby - and would be indefinitely...</p> <p> </p> <p>NOT ONCE did anyone return my calls or even try to communicate with me. I had to find out what kennels they were at, and what I could do to fix it. <br /><br />And yet - on a Sunday - I managed to get them on a flight, and communicate effectively with people - ALL things I had paid this ridiculously unprofessional company to do for me. So actually - what I had paid R9000 for was thier crates.... and a big fat UP YOURS.</p>
