I recently requested a cancellation of my Natal Witness subscription due to a few issues, amongst them, the continued delivery of the paper when I had asked that it be suspended as I was away for 3 weeks. This created a huge security issue as I had found almost 20 copies of the paper on my door step on return. However, the paper stopped being delivered 2 weeks before the cancellation date requested. Upon query, I was told that my account didn't debit so my subscription was halted. Seriously? After almost 30 years as a subscriber with no debit order issues, suddenly there's a debit order issue when I request a cancellation. What is even more amazing is the fact that they couldn't get the suspension right whilst I was away but got it right immediately when there's a debit issue. One would think that after being a customer for 30 years, we would expect better treatment rather than a suspension which could hardly be my fault as there never was an issue previously. Anyway, good riddance. Any future intentions I may have had of reinstating my subscription is now firmly in the thrash bin.

I have not received the Witness which I pay for via subscription. I tried calling the call centre however as usual it takes abnormally long for an answer. The witness has not been received from last week Thursday. Delivery address is at 38 Mountford street. I am reaching a point of frustration with the service from the Witness. I will be complaining everyday until someone calls me back. 0661338473

<p>On Monday I phoned The Witness, spoke to Stephanie the marketing assistant. I informed her about some concerns and she told she will have someone to contact me the same day but no contacted me. I phoned her later before end of day, she was suprised no one contacted me she said she will get some one to contact. As yet and neither a courtesy call from Stephanie to check if anyone phoned me. It seems they do not have customer care. What is the turnaround time for queries.</p>

As a suscriber, I expect delivery of my newspaper on a daily basis. It would seem that since 1 September, there has been some sort of change in terms of delivery service provider, and since said time, I have not received my newspaper. I have sent two e-mails and get a standardized computerised response. On Saturday, I contacted the call centre with regards the non delivery, I spoke to two different individuals, and was promised my newspaper between half an hour and two and a half hours of my call, needless to say, I am still waiting. Again today, no delivery. I would have assumed that this matter would have been rectified. When querying the fact that I have not had delivery since 1 September, no mention of a credit or on how this situation is going to be rectified. I have even been told that delievery person is going to be fired!!!! I'm not sure how that helps me- bottom line, NO service.Seems my only recourse is to cancel my subscription.
