Wynberg Branch. Poor workmanship, shoddy workshop. Could'nt repair a puncture, claimed that the tyre was too thick and hole was too small. Bought a new tyre from them which they balanced, the balancing weights fell off before I got home, found the weights lying in the car boot. On my way out they were not forthcoming in presenting me with my half worn tyre. So pleased I removed the wheel myself and did not take the bike to them.

Please note - this is for the PAARDENEILAND branch! I have only had GREAT SERVICE from TRAC-MAC Belville I purchased a jacket in January 2019, and by February 2019 some of the press studs had started to rust. This was after 1 ride in the rain. Apart from being an indication of the bad quality of the product, it will also eventually put my safety at risk, as rusting press studs will create a weakness in the gear. When I brought this to the manager's attention, he was totally rude and kept asking me what I expected from him. He kept blaming the manufacturer. After a lot of backwards and forwards, he eventually said he would send the jacket in to the manufacturer to be repaired. This does not work for me for the following reasons: I needed my/a jacket to ride my bike back home I live 50km away and it is an inconvenience to have to come back through, in a car or on a bike with a second jacket to ride home with Repairing/replacing rusted press studs in a mesh jacket compromises that quality and safety. Not once did he suggest he was prepared to refund or replace the jacket, although I presented him with the payment slip. Instead, I was told it was an Entry Level jacket, and that it was therefore acceptable. Paying R2000 for a jacket is far from entry level in my opinion! Quite frankly, I am disgusted at how I was brushed off, no apologies were made, and no workable solutions were offered. I will NOT be supporting you further, and will ensure non of my fellow riders and friends do either. There are many other biking stores in Cape Town that are more deserving of our business!

Trac-Mac _ Wynberg branch Went to have my motorcycle wheels balanced. They broke my front right fork at the pinch bolts. This happened in June 2018, still waiting for response. They have not repaired/replaced anything. I had to import a set of used forks at my own cost. Owners do not get back to you at all (Lawrence Boshoff & Kevin Spratley). I would have been happy for them to split the difference in cost, and that would have been that. Terrible service, no responsibility towards customers, will NEVER use them again.

I recently had to replace my chain and sprockets on my R1 and when I phoned Chantelle she was friendly, knew what I needed and assisted with generating a quote. She actually called me back when she said she would (which most companies do not call back) and when the product was available she called to inform me and made sure that I was happy. She went the extra mile. Would definitely recommend her at Trac Mac.
