I had a wonderful holiday. My friend and I stayed at Ocean breeze 8 We had no problems. staff was very friendly. we even received a R100 voucher at Breakers but unfortunately never used it. we handed it back . Beautiful sea view and safe garage parking. Thank you. I already recommend to some friends. They are very impress with the unit and personnel.

We were booked at Uvongo through Van Heerden Letting from Thursday 26 December 2024 up till 02 January 2025. We got there Thursday afternoon, swam on Friday the 27th, my husband swam on Saturday the 28th . My husband got ill that evening, were vomiting and had diarrhoea all at once. We were up the whole night, Sunday he couldn't get up and Monday we packed to come home. When I dropped off the keys the lady wanted to know why we didn't drive to any of the other beaches then to swim. Why would I go to another beach if I made a booking right on the main beach. They took the keys and did not once mentioned that they would refund us anything. As you can imagine it was a very long and painful road back to home. I got sick at 03:00 on the morning of the 31st of December 2024. My husband got an emergency telephonic consultation with our doctor and she said that according to our symptoms she is certain that the both of us have E.coli. We contacted the agency to ask that some of the monies be paid back to us seeing that we do have E.coli. A lady Karen spoke to my husband and told him that we must forward all the slips / receipts to the lady that I dealt with (Bianca) and see if they could ask the owner for a partial refund. Just the slips emailed to them tal**** up to +R2 269.00. I emailed all the slips and receipts as well as a letter from our doctor wherein she states that we have E.coli to Bianca. I did not get a response. My husband again phoned and Karen was the lady that answered again. She told my husband that they had a meeting and was told that no one will get money back as we are not the only people wanting money back. My husband mentioned that we got sick at the main beach and the flags were up and there were lifeguards while we swam. The lady mentioned that the flags would be down if there were anything wrong, when my husband asked whether she is insinuating that he is lying, she said that is not what she is saying but it is just weird. Firstly this morning there were a video on Facebook about a guy that tested the water at Uvongo main beach and it was the highest count it has ever been BUT he showed that although there is no-one on the beach, the FLAGS ARE UP. I have a photo of his review showing the flags. When we asked when our breakage deposit will be paid back she told my husband that she (Bianca) will get to it. We were paid back R1200.00 (R500 breakage deposit and R700 admin fee). I got an email from Bianca telling me that they are not paying any monies back but that she spoke to her boss to refund us the admin fee as well. To this day myself and my husband are still battling with the E.coli on and off. This is so difficult to work. Surely they or the owners of the units must have a type of insurance for such things or are we just supposed to loose our money?

If you want to waste money booking a holiday do it with these letting agents.. We booked 3 nights. Day one you can only check in after 2 so you lose that entire day. Day 3 you have to check out at 9 so you lose that entire day. In essence you book 3 days you only get 1 entire day at their venues.

Van Heerden Letting Marine Rd, Uvongo, Margate, 4270 Vacation home rental agency Janet Hofman 463 points 12 minutes ago Van Heerdens Letting is a professional holiday letting agency operating along the South Coast. Their service is prompt and professional. The unit that was let to us was unfortunately not up to scratch. Poorly maintained and not comfortably or appropriately furnished for two families of four, with the bunk beds being unsleepable. Additionally, the South Coast is actually an undesirable holiday destination as many of the lagoons, which flow into the sea, are contaminated with sewage as a result of the municipalities failure to maintain the sewer lines properly. My family and I became violently ill from swimming at utentweni beach and also manaba beach. We had to cut our holiday short as a result. When we visited, uvongo beach and ramsgate were both closed due to contamination. We met many more families in casualty suffering the same ailments and learned of more families that also had to cut their holidays short as a result of becoming sick from swimming in contaminated water. I would not recommend anywhere on this coastline as a holiday destination and would make appropriate enquiries prior to travelling to the area to ensure that there are no contaminants in the waters.

Upon my honeymoon, the key broke off in the units door,when the 24hour number was called,we were told they can't help us.they came out and said "we 4got the tool box,wel be right back" lone behold they never came back. My husband and I spent the night in our car,paid for our own locksmith and were told by van heerden, "sorry we can't refund you as they 'tried to' call a locksmith. Not to mention the names and derogatory words we were called. Secondly upon our departure we by accident left some clothes including wedding attire in the main room hanging closest. When we called to enquire,they said nothing was found,yet it was atheist 6full outfits. The manager then proceeded to tell me "I'm trying to extort them." For what I ask....my own clothes? They are very quick to provide you accommodation but if anything goes wrong, they are also very quick to recuse any acknowledgment. My advice to people, rather find someone else on the south coast like "just property".

Dat die yskas nie werk nie.</p> <p>2. Die badkamer lig nie werk nie</p> <p>3. Dat die gasbraaier n groot risiko is want waar dit diemgss lek en ontsteek is met n soort putty reggemaak. Hoe kan jul dit in so toestand los en verwag kliente moet dit gebruik</p> <p> </p> <p>Dan word mens geskuif na n eenheid wat nie op dieselfde standaard is as 23 nie nie eers om te noem van die goed wat ons moes weggooi, roomys ens wst gesmelt het nie</p> <p> </p> <p>Daar is nie veiligheids hekke aan die deure nie wat beteken ons moet nou die hele tyd beide deure toe hou omdat ons klein kinderjies her.</p> <p> </p> <p>Kan jul verseker dit is die laaste kaar dat ek weer n eenheid by julle sal huur as dit die standaard is wat julle stel.
