I received an email indicating that I owed fees to an anesthesiologist and made payment arrangements accordingly. However, all attempts to contact them to settle the outstanding amount have failed, leading me to suspect that this may be a *****ulent operation.

Forced to accept bills paid
Putrid communication skills Does not make secure payment arrangements Forces you to accept the account by email and even WhatsApp without your approval. When u ask how they got your number they cannot answer, they only force to send u statements and threaten you. Iv paid my account and now they calling me for their interest fees which was not stopped according to my payment agreement. I do not have a job and cannot pay the fees they added, they actually scream at me and cut the call when are told to look at recordings for proof it was settled. Unprofessionalism at its best.

Paid them in full but they still debited my account. Promised to refund me but suddenly the forgot and missed my refund and now I'm running after them as if I owe them. They don't call back nor acknowledge my calls. Moli who is the one that supposedly submitted my refund has no explanation as to what happened. Now the so called finance manager is never in the office to submit my refund. I was promised to be called back by a Jaden Rangasamy but nothing till now. WTH...

Lack of Empathy and Incredibly Rude Staff"
Van Rhyns attorneys harasses people like crazy without getting their facts straight, especially Mashudu, she didn't wanna hear my case and threatened to list my name on ICT for an account that has been paid, are they above the law because they are lawyers? on the 12 November 2025 I first spoke to Wandile, I explained to him that the information that they had was incorrect, at least he was polite enough and apologized and indicated that he will verify this. It's true that women are difficult, no wonder the term "pull her down syndrome" exist its women like her, the way this Mashudu was threatening me about ICT, whilst her facts were not correct, the decent thing she could have done was to go back and verify her facts before threatening me, even after learning that she didn't have the right information, she did not see the need to apologize. If the firm wants to protect its reputation, Mashudu should not be dealing with clients, she so rude, I give it to her.

Harassed by Van Rhyns Attorneys on behalf of Dr Nay and Piccolo
I am extremely disappointed with Van Rhyns Attorneys, handling matters for Drs Nay and Piccolo Inc. regarding my medical bill. Despite providing proof of payment from Discovery Health, I've been subjected to relentless emails and calls threatening credit listing, indicating their lack of professionalism and diligence. The ongoing harassment and failure to resolve the matter despite clear evidence of payment suggests incompetence and poor handling of client accounts by Van Rhyns Attorneys. I urge them to review their processes and cease further contact on this settled matter, reflecting extremely poor service.

I am extremely disappointed with Van Rhyns Attorneys, handling matters for Drs Nay and Piccolo Inc. regarding my medical bill. Despite providing proof of payment from Discovery Health, I've been subjected to relentless emails and calls threatening credit listing, indicating their lack of professionalism and diligence. The ongoing harassment and failure to resolve the matter despite clear evidence of payment suggests incompetence and poor handling of client accounts by Van Rhyns Attorneys. I urge them to review their processes and cease further contact on this settled matter, reflecting extremely poor service.

Van Rhyns doesn't acknowledge payment and did ITC listing
At some point an odd medical account of my mom in her 80s got handed over to Van Rhyns. When I found out I paid it on her behalf 30 June, the exact amount. Van Rhyns kept on calling thereafter and I kept on telling them it was already paid. On 7 July the person calling asked to send a Proof of Payment, which I did the same day from the bank directly. However they kept on calling daily claiming it was not paid. The default email address is to "Louis". So I emailed him and asked him whether het got the POP. No reply. They kept on calling every day and then I got a notice that there is now an ITC entry against her. So, being gatvol I sent Louis another e-mail yesterday, another copy of the POP and stating just one more call and I start complaining on the internet. I got another email today about the ITC listing being done against her and got another call in why haven't I paid yet. So here we are. I sent a proper **** out email to the marketing email address on their website. Louis is the attorney the guy said over the phone. Shame on Louis, who doesn't check the bank statements, doesn't reply to emails, doesn't talk to the admin people and doesn't know what is going on in the practice. What a horrible company to deal with.

Rude and condescending consultants
Van Rhyns attorneys are rude and condescending and in all my interactions with them, they do not provide me with the option of making payment arrangements. They have instead addressed me with rude and unhelpful attitudes and numerous threats to have me listed on Credit Bureas. They have pointed fingers without understanding the history of what has transpired since the procedure to date (Their client had an incorrect email address and I was not aware for 2 years that there was an amount not paid by the medical aid) I am very disappointed in the unprofessional manner in which I have been handled, and I urge the company to upskill their consultants in the correct manner of dealing with people. Being employed by an attorney does not mean that they have the right to BULLY anyone especially if the person is willing to make payment arrangements. They scream and shout, and talk over a person. This is tantamount to harassment and is unacceptable.

I thought this company was an online ****, but they are a real company, just very very *********. Handed over for debt collection on a Drs bill (Nay and Piccolo) that was never sent to me (error in email address from accounts side). Having requested the bill from the Drs I can see that Van Rhyns are charging close to double the bill without acknowledgement or statement of added fees (although I have repeatedly asked for a statement). They just keep urging me to pay without a statement. After I gave them correct details, they have repeatedly called my emergency medical contact (although I have repeatedly stated that I do not consent to the number being used in this way and asked them not to do this). Whatsapp contact at Van Rhyn (I've been contact by 3 of their people none of whom seem to be communicating with each other) noted they could offer an (unspecified) discount on fees by Whatsapp, then sent me an email with the full (inflated) amount on it, still no statement. When I queried they said that they "can send it formally via email if this suits you well." I cannot believe an attorneys can operate like this.
