On the 21.12.2025, I had booked a group Spa treatment at VHI Apart hotel Umhlanga for four of my friends at 1230 pm. Unfortunately there was traffic at gateway mall because of the festive season ,I then called the branch to inform them we were going to be few minutes late.whe we arrived at the branch the receptionist was already waiting for us, she then asked us to sit , the first impression was that the seats were oily because they were used for foot treatments and coach was for only two people ,we then sat and waited for about five minutes which was fine and were redirected to our treatment rooms. we had booked for four people but we were given two separate rooms but we did not say anything we continued.we asked to put on gowns there were three gowns instead of four and the other one was a kiddies gown and when we requested one they didn't have an extra gown we had to use it we didn't have a choice. we then waited for another 10 minutes for the the****** to arrive, when they arrived they told us the treatment was going to be cut short because we were late.I explained that we have called to inform them that we were late,the receptionist was called and then she told the ladies to to do the treatment until 3 O'clock which was fine,we started our treatment at 13:06 PM at about 13:50 I received a call that we have to cut our treatment because we were late and I overheard the ladies that they made a mistake and booked 8 people at 2'Oclock I then explained everything to the branch manager as to why we were late and then a few minutes later I have received another call from the lady at the Royal hotel branch telling us the same thing I had to explain the same thing to her,now the treatment has completely halted the whole experience has been ruined and then a few minutes later one of the ladies came to our room and told us we need to dress up our treatment has been cancelled and we must go to Durban Spa where we paid our money for a refund. while I was still shocked all the ladies were in my room and I was still undressed shouting at me for lying to their boss some were coming in and out of the room leaving the room opened while I was still trying to dress up,this experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth,my dignity was stripped down and I was treated unfairly and disrespect. The staff members were very rude and unprofessional I will never recommend anyone to go to that spa.

My hubby and I booked for the weekend's couple special. Our the******s Faith and Lindo were fantastic. We had one of the best massages. These girls did a fantastic job. Will definitely be booked at this spa again.

Very bad communication skills they had to a issue the water did not inform us and the payment for treatment refused to refund us on the day I am still waiting for my refund it's been 12days they don't give feedback I been call for update they say they will call back and give feedback but never gives feedback I am very disappointed in the overport vhi Skin and spa

Hi I would like to let this branch know that I have never in my life ever experience such poor service My appointment was booked for 9am , I arrived at 8:45am I was told that Amanda was running late She took me into the room at 9:25 Mid way through my treatment she informs me that there is no tint in stock Like really ? Why take bookings if you do not have stock Amanda says she was on leave . She then offers to go to clicks to buy some sort of tint and comes back with nothing She then tells me she will be doing a henna tint instead . The level of unprofessionalism is astonishing . Please do better I told them that I booked my appointment for 9am as I had somewhere to be at 10am Amanda was only done by past 10am I am extremely disappointed with the service from this branch .

Pathetic service received from vhi skin and Spa overport. I am still waiting for the manager Nadia to contact me. I waited patiently for an appointment with a "professional" skin the******. The appointment was confirmed on WhatsApp for 29 June 2024. I was advised that the "professional" skin the****** would advise me on which facial to do. I also received two calls confirming my appointment for Saturday. My appointment was for 13h30 and I rushed to be punctual because I respect time. Upon arrival I was told that they were running a few minutes dates. I waited patiently and after 30 minutes of waiting I went to the reception to ask what was going on. The staff gave me blank stairs and spoke to each other in Zulu in my presence. This was highly unprofessional. I was then take an in to do my facial. The the****** then asks me with the I am doing waxing or threading on my upper lips and eyebrows. I was furious s and stormed out and asked for the manager's details. I am still waiting for Nadia to call me. I will never be visiting vhi skin and spa overport again.

Bad quality products.. Bought and not explained properly. Poor excuses from nadia the manager then received a blunt nonsense email from Alvina. Not sure who it was directed to. Their waxing only lasts a week.... Apparently! I've waxed tons before.. Now they won't give me a refund for items that don't work.

Made an appointment weeks in advance with VHI Skin & Spa Overport. Booking was accepted and confirmed by Vhi. On the last minute they cancel the appointment saying the the****** don't work on that day and they are not sure who took the booking and why they took it. Unprofessional and disappointing service!

What a hidden gem. This year old Spa is absolutely amazing. We went there for our anniversary and the staff made it so special. Candles, rose petals, an Anniversary sign and a personal card. The staff are amazing, Well trained and give the best massages and treatments. The Spa is clean and well kept. I highly recommend this Spa. They have great specials too. We will definitely go back for some pampering.
