1348861575: why can the confirmation email display the barcode for the bus driver to scan? The has a link to vow the barcode, the link opens a website, which asked if you want to open the barcode in apple mail, upon clicking it it open the confirmation e-mail, and the circus goes on and on. There is no convenience in using this app. I can only hope my Robin Island trip doesn’t follow the same logic

We bought 2 fast track cable car tickets for Tafelberg cablecars through Viator. We received our tickets at 1am the morning of our booking at 10am. When requesting more information we were told "you should have already been there". This was 7:58!am. We went to the cablecars through the fast track gate only to be told the tickets bought at R1000 each (which is the price for a fast track ticket) was not fast track tickets so we need to go either wait in the 3hour queue or upgrade the tickets to fast track at the offices on site. We got to the office only to be told they cannot upgrade the one ticket since it was scanned. We upgraded the one ticket at a cost of R650 extra to the R1000paid for it and had to buy another new ticket at the R1000 fast track price. In essence, a R2000 experience ended up costing us R4750. Do NOT BOOK through this platform. Communication is poor!

We made a booking for the Atlanta Dunes in December 2025 via Viator and they made they made available a date that the Dunes doesnt open on. Now we have been calling for a week now trying to resolve this or get our refund and a person by the name of Boni has been so useless in assisting us and now they are ignoring our calls.

Terrible experience I am very disappointed with this company. On the day we were supposed to leave for Kruger National my 88 years old mom fell and broke her hip.Afer I phoned the ambulance I contacted the hotel and the Viator .Both had no refund policy but the management of the hotel did provide empathy and offered us voucher to book later .Viator however refused any assistance. The terms and conditions stayed 24 hours prior the trip I can have full refund. I phoned 22 hours prior the trip with request and unforeseen medical emergency and no understanding at all. The legal point of view and the moral point of view are different for the hotel and for Viator.The game drive company could offer delay of the trip as well. I definitely will not recommend Viator to anyone and I will never make a booking with them aswell.

I recently booked 3 guided tours via Viator. Was so excited to take my sons on an oversees trip. It took some savings to afford the expensive Viator guided tours to give my sons the full benefit of the experience. What a disappointment! The guides see how quickly they can get the trip over-and- done with. "I will release you soon", was a common comment. We paid and are excited to see the Coliseum, Vatican and all they want to do is to let you off on your own to "explore" it all. Don't waste your money by paying 3 x the fees and not getting any value.

I recently booked 3 guided tours via Viator. Was so excited to take my sons on an oversees trip. It took some savings to afford the expensive Viator guided tours to give my sons the full benefit of the experience. What a disappointment! The guides see how quickly they can get the trip over-and- done with. "I will release you soon", was a common comment. We paid and are excited to see the Coliseum, Vatican and all they want to do is to let you off on your own to "explore" it all. Don't waste your money by paying 3 x the fees and not getting any value.

I made a booking on the 03 October 2023( reference number 1071177417) , but I realised that I selected the wrong date.I immediately cancelled the booking.I received a cancellation confirmation from Viator and they mentioned I will receive my refund within 3-5 business days.Now they are giving me a runaround , they are telling me that the problem is with my bank. I contacted my bank yesterday and they told me that they didn’t receive any payment from Viator. .I asked them to send me the proof of payment but they sent me an email saying that they refund was processed on the 3rd of October 2023.It feels like they are ****ming me. I demand an immediate refund.They are ******.

If there was 0 stars then I would be using that. I used tripadvisor for the first time and booked a tour from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and the tour guide did not show up. I then sent screenshots proving that I tried to contact the guide multiple times and they didn’t answer. However according to viator, this is not sufficient and I am still being charge for something that did not happen. Be very careful when booking on here, they are not as trustworthy as you would think
