I am extremely disappointed and hurt by my recent experience at VO2 Max. As a loyal customer for over a year and a half, I had always held the gym in high regard. However, during my final exams, I found myself unable to continue my gym routine and reached out to the front desk to pause my contract. Unfortunately, due to a mistake in the email address provided by VO2 Max, my request was not received and my contract was not paused. Upon returning to the gym after my exams, I was met with hostility and disrespect from the front desk assistant who laughed at my explanation and even followed me out of the gym to continue berating me in public. The finance department offered no empathy or understanding and dismissed me with a cold "it's just business" attitude. I am deeply disappointed in the unprofessional and inhumane treatment I received from VO2 Max and would advise anyone considering joining this gym to look elsewhere. The gym manager tried to help us, because he had understanding but the rest denied this.

Went to the gym today, finished cardio and started with weights. I was busy with my set, when a trainer just approached and said I'm doing it wrong, and started touching me to show "which muscle I should focus on", without my consent. I didn't ask for any help. Then he tried to show me what other exercises I rather should do. This is where I said no. I already have another trainer's schedule, but didn't feel the need to tell this guy my whole story. Why can't we just gym in a secure and safe area without people approaching you. Does that even exist anymore.

VO2 Max Fitness Centre: NO - NO If you ever wonder should I, or shouldn`t I, join VO2 Max Fitness Centre, please choose the latter. Background: 1. I joint VO2 Max, signing a debit order form. 2. Two months later, received an email stating that I`m two months behind on my membership fees. 3. I emailed back stating that I signed a debit order, please just deduct from my account. Which they said that they will. 4. Received an email on the 6th August stating that due to changes on VO2s debit system, my debit order was not submitted to my bank on the 1st of August, but will submit on the 10th, which it did. 5. Received an email again in October stating ‘Your debit order has again been refused. This has happen many times before.’ and ‘you will not be allowed to gym until this amount is paid’ 6. I checked my bank statement and emailed them the dates and amounts deducted by VO2 Max from my account, not one refused by my bank. 7. Not getting a response from anyone at VO2 Max and not permitted to use the fitness centre till this is resolved, I decided to cancel my membership with VO2 Max Fitness Centre by email on the 24th October 2018. 8. The problem is that I picked up now, that they haven`t stopped the debit order and still takes my gym fees every month from my account. 9. After how many emails to get my money back from VO2 Max, without one response from any of the management at VO2 Max, I received a payment of R 850 from them. 10. Again I emailed them asking for an explanation, as I cancelled my membership 10 months ago, yet again NO RESPONSE FROM THEM. So, if you thinking of joining them, just don’t. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
