Scores reflect the Overall AI Score for each category
Based on recent customer reviews, Goldwagen struggles significantly across all key customer experience dimensions. The overwhelming majority of feedback describes defective parts with warranty claims routinely denied, near-total communication breakdowns across phone and WhatsApp channels, and staff conduct that ranges from indifferent to openly hostile. A small number of branches earn praise for individual staff members who go above and beyond, but these are isolated bright spots in a consistently negative landscape.

I have experience a bad service ever in my entire life from Goldwagen in Lephalale and the salesman was very rude on me by the name of Joel Letsoalo. He is very disrespectful to the customer's, he talks like he own the business and doesn't care of the customers.

Bought a starter for my 1996 citi chico VW Golf in August last year for R1850.00, daylight *******, but nonetheless. Bought it and installed it in my car. Yes I was desperate. Now, 7/8 months later it's giving me the same problem as my old one, (the old one lasted 28 and a half years). Noe they say that yes I can hand it in and they will send it to their head office for assessment and then decide if I can get my money back or get a replacement after 14 days. They didn't wait 14 days to take my money!!! I can't be without a vehicle for 14 days because they want to check if I'm telling the truth. This is utter nonsense. I will never, ever buy anything at Goldwagen again. The exact same starter I could have bought at Auto Zone for almost half the price. Goldwagen charged me over R600 for a starter solenoid and Auto Zone would have charged me like R190. They are milking people and getting away with it. From here I'm going to social media and will continue to faul their name until I get service.

I'm starting to think that this is a problem across the board with branches in the Western Cape. I contact the Tokia branch via their WhatsApp channel and I attempted to call the store. On WhatsApp I was completely ignored, ghosted and my calls rang unanswered. So this is not an isolated problem with just one particular branch, it seems to be a universal problem with almost all their stores. What is going on Goldwagen, do you want us to shop elsewhere for our automotive parts? Because if you can't even get your staff to pick up the phone or even bother checking the WhatsApp messages from clients, then that says alot about you think about customers that are keeping you in business in such a volatile economy where many businesses are downscaling and closing their doors.

I have been ****** by Goldwagen, I bought a power steering pump for my Vw jetta 3 on the 3rd of february 2026 and on the same day i took it to my machanic for installation, i did not even reached home when i heard a ticking sound coming from the pump. I took it back to the Goldwagen branch for a claim, they sended it for testing and my claim was rejected with a whole list of reasons that does not even add up. Scouring marks which any new pump will have when operating and on the pictures it looks even worse than the actual inside looks like. Pump was not properly primed before instalation, the pump run dry during operation, oil contaminated and the list goes on, im sure scouring and contact marks can make a ticking sound. It is clearly the valve inside from manufacture fauld. My point is do you think a machanic running a business that is his bread a butter can mess up a customers new pump by not priming a pump and not putting fluid and not bleed a system after instalation? And do you think that he will mess up a job if he wants a bussness to run? I am so disappointed in goldwagen products i would not advice people to buy parts from them, it will not last long and they will not even refund you they blame the customer/machanic. It feels like i handed them money for free after im at a loss paying for labour and buy a pump then making a plan get my car running again so that i can go to work a earn a salary. You should be ashamed about your poor products.

I went to ask for reprints of my previous invoices and was told NO straight up by the manager herself. Needed the invoices as part of my service history for my warranty plan. Now I must pay 7k+ because i produce those invoices.
