I had the unfortune experience of Washr 16 October 2023. I sent y laundry to Wøsh a great conmpany which is exptremely good. Unfortunatly when I searched online I got the number for Washr - thus easily confusable with the other name. I then asked them when my laundry will be done and they said I have to pay urgently or they will not deliver. Thus Washr made the mistake of seeing me as one of their clients which I was not and said I have to pay over Rand 2650 to them into the following account. ENB ACC Number: 62785715908 Branch code: 250655 I paid the money but something did not seem right. I never sent washing to them. I also sent them various emails explaining that I need my money back as they were not the company that did my washing. Of course they should understand that I paid for someone elses washing and since then their telephone number have not been working non stop 0725359111. I also tried to get hold of the ownwer via Linked In but that was also not possible. I then tried to call any other numbers I found on the internet but that also did not work. They thus just took my money confusing me for someone else and never ever even came back to me after payment. This is extremely horrible and I hav e trying to get my money back from them for the past week and more. I think one should be extremely caucious of using WASHR in Cape town. Do not let them collect your laundry they are ******* and they take money from people for services not rendered. My last resort thus is Hello Peter in the hope that they either react or that they return my money. Please do not trust this company: none of these numbers work for them 072 535 9111 · care@washr.co.za · www.washr.co.za · None of the websites work and none of them react. I think this is extremely bad that a company can not be honest and see someone else paid money into their account for which the sevices was not delivered. My next step is sending the police to their premises, opening a *****lulent case against them and in the hope toget my money back let it in the hands of the police. BE CAREFULL OF WASHR - It is a *****ulent non responsive company 071 736 5084 This number is also listed but no reply either. I want my money back as this is horrible what they are doing to people.

Awful, drawn up - I can best describe Chris as an aggressive, confrontational con man. You genuinely cannot use this service unless you are willing to insure your clothes first - they kept my clothes for a week and returned them unwashed - along with a tirade of abusive messages from a very arrogant Chris - who is uncontactable when it comes to finding out where your clothes are, but available to send threatening communications. (Threatening! From a laundromat when you ask if its realistic to spend a third day waiting for your clothes when they've had them for so long!) It is such unnecessary behaviour - and I was without work clothes, had to purchase more - before having the clothes returned unwashed!! Absolutely horrified. There are enough alternatives not to have to deal with this business - and you will find yourself without your clothes for an indefinite amount of time!

I wanted this to work. I really did. I am on a road trip and passing through Cape Town. I needed my clothes washed and ironed, but I guess that was too much to ask. They were washed but returned with an odd smell. It must be the soap that was used, so I will not dock points for that mistake, however, they did not wash the actual clothes bags in which the dirty clothes were, they did not iron them properly at all, and there was a long black athletic sock missing when it was all returned. There was a second sock that was not even washed because it was left in the dirty clothes bag in which the clothes were... this was very disappointing I must say. Like I said, I wanted this to work. A laundry service that picks up your stuff and returns it the next day sounds insane and amazing to me, but the execution was very flawed. I cannot give more than 1 star at the moment since the job was incomplete, poorly done, and I received less than what I sent in. My fears were realised.

The worst people running the worst business. I've been using them for a couple years, putting up with their unreliable and often late service. A month ago, with one washing load, they managed to lose an item, damage another item and not deliver another item sent for dry cleaning (this wasn't communicated to me - it just didn't arrive with the rest). When I confronted them about this, at first the owner David was apologetic and promised to refund me for the damage, and return the dry cleaning immediately. After promises of a 'direct payment to your account this evening', and then not delivering - he just straight up stopped responding to my mails. It also took 15 days to return my dry cleaning - 13 days longer than promised - and only after having to constantly message to try to get it back. The owner David clearly doesn't care about his customers and refuses to take responsibility, and Chris who seems to be in charge of operations is consistently, exceptionally, unhelpful.

Be warned about this company! We sent our washing off in two tog bags- only 1 tog bag was returned. after over a month of chasing them for feedback they promised to refund me for the bag. It has now been nearly 6 weeks since then and the owner just won't process the payment. I need to call almost every second day and just get a whole bunch of lies or run arounds. They loose your stuff and their service is shocking. No one answers their phones, no one replies to emails. Owner David Shliefman who is well aware of the situation does not care about customers, return calls or do anything about. I will not stop until you return my bag or replace it David!

Don't use them they will mess your stuff up they pay their staff very late so the staff will do with your stuff as they please and don't take the excuse of vehicle breaking down for being late it's always their excuse the manager doesn't give a **** about the clients neither does the owner.

I found the experience of using Washr incredibly easy and efficient! I booked in my laundry in for the simple wash, dry and fold over the weekend to be collected on Monday, which it was perfectly in the allocated time block! I then received an invoice which had many options to pay, was able to make the payment on snapscan (which you can wait until they delivery your laundry to do if you are hesitant) and then delivered back beautifully folded at the same time the following day! I will definitely be using them again!

I found the experience of using Washr incredibly easy and efficient! Worst experience ever. I sent my (expensive and only 3 month old) Egyptian cotton duvet cover for a wash, dry & iron which was returned to me with yellow stains. I took pictures and returned it to Washr to fix. This was one week ago. Each time I email, I get promised feedback from someone named Chris, which he never follows through with. Instead, he has for the second time blamed me for the stains.. something to the tune of me spilling red wine on the duvet which is hilarious because I don’t drink AND THE STAINS ARE YELLOW. It’s been one full week and I still don’t have my duvet cover back and even when I ask for a timeline, they refuse to tell me when they’ll be returning it. Please be careful - you don’t want your good clothing or bedding ruined like mine was (and you probably will actually want them back, which is looking doubtful for me at this point in time). Worst experience ever!!!
