I booked a 60-minute sunset cruise through FOMO, which was valid for three (3) months. I used the provided link to submit my booking request, which was subsequently accepted by Waterfront Charters. However, they unilaterally amended the departure time from 17:00 to 15:00. I responded promptly, advising that I would not be available at the new 15:00 time and offered to pay an additional fee to board the 17:00 cruise instead. This request was declined by Edan. I then formally notified them that I would not be able to attend the 15:00 cruise due to prior commitments and adverse weather conditions, and requested that the booking be rescheduled. Edan from Waterfront Charters acknowledged my email, yet at 17:00 marked my booking as a no-show and cancelled it, thereby causing me to forfeit the booking and lose the money I had spent. Poor and pathetic service from this charter, very unfair and terrible business practice.

I recently purchased a voucher from FOMO for the Waterfront Charters Champagne Cruise (Pre Sunset) for two people. Before buying the voucher, I called Waterfront Charters to confirm the booking details, as the FOMO website only listed a 60-minute voucher, while Waterfront Charters offered a 90-minute sunset cruise. I spoke with a staff member named Brent, who assured me that the 60-minute voucher would indeed allow us to book the 90-minute sunset cruise slot. I called again to double-check, and another representative confirmed Brent's information. After purchasing the voucher, I successfully made a booking, and we received an email confirmation of our cruise reservation. On the day of the cruise, while we were en route to the Waterfront, I received a call from Shanice Pearce at 17:02, informing us that we had made the "wrong" booking and would not be allowed to board. We were supposed to check in by 17:45, and we were already on our way, having made arrangements and expenses to enjoy this experience. Despite explaining that both Brent and another representative confirmed our booking, Shanice acknowledged it was an internal miscommunication but still refused to accommodate us. Upon arriving at the office, Shanice’s behavior was unprofessional and rude. She was dismissive, refused to consider the information we’d received from her colleagues, and made racially insensitive remarks that made the situation even more upsetting. This was highly disappointing and far from the welcoming experience we had anticipated

Unreliable and unhelpful. Booked trip that they cancelled by phone the day before. Most annoyingly they gave zero help to obtain the 1800 ZAR refund. It was a flight for weeks. This is a lot of money. Do not trust this firm - pick a firm with a better reputation for your trip.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received on January 2nd at the V&A Waterfront. My girlfriend and I booked a cruise on Yacht ENIGMA for 3 pm, as instructed to arrive at the boarding gate by 2:30 pm. However, upon arrival, we were kept waiting until 3:15 pm without any staff attending to us. I finally called out to the staff that was in a boat for assistance, because we were just standing there To our dismay, we discovered that the specific boat we booked had been reserved for a private trip, and we were redirected to another boat with an additional fee. Not only were we unimpressed by the alternative, but the lack of communication and professionalism from your staff exacerbated our frustration. Upon requesting a refund, we encountered further issues. The manager, Craig, displayed an appalling level of disrespect. He called us poor for wanting an immediate refund even through cash because we had a budget and wanted to go to another boat, he was not only unprofessional but downright offensive. Instead of offering a sincere apology for the inconvenience caused, he dismissed our concerns callously. It is disheartening to be treated in such a manner, and this experience has left a lasting negative impression. He went on and said it’s always you “people” that always complain. He just then said I will walk away now and left me standing there . The sad part is he called us all of these things in front ong the other customers. I am so disappointed and will never recommend this company to anyone, because this is honestly the worst experience.

disappointment! I booked 6tickets online 1andhalf hour on the bay yesterday (31 October 2021)for my husband's birthday only to be told when we arrived that they don't have the 1andhalf hour boat for the day if they get us on the 1hour I won't be able to get the refund on the difference which didn't make sense also because I paid for the 1andhalf I should get my change. Now what made it even worse is to be told I'll be charged 10% on cancelation otherwise I must come another day HOW? because I'm the one who was disappointed there with my whole family on what was supposed to be a surprise trip and THERE WAS NO BOAT why must I be charged cancelation fee?

Yesterday we went on the Clifton ***y Yacht Party. Being told to meet at the Waterfront Charter ticket office next to Sevruga, we got there at 1:45 as told. As our group walked inside just behind these two girls, they asked the lady at the counter if this is where we meet for the Clifton ***y Yacht party, when this real chauvinist *** sitting on the side, named William Bond, pipes up "Ja, but you have to be ***y", thinking that was funny. So the one girl brushed it off and said "Well, I will go put more make up on" then he said "you will need more than that"... I mean, really? How is that okay in the customer service industry? And these two girls not from South Africa. Then our group got to the cashier and one girl in our group asked if she could please hurry as we were now told our boat was on the OTHER end of the Waterfront. When Mr William Bond pipes up again "Don't take it out on the staff if you're late, then get to a place earlier", Firstly, we were on time and we were only told then that the boat is not meeting at this point (where we told it was going to) but at the other point. So I said to William the chauvinist ***, "you don't have to pass comments like that, we on time and you're actually rude", he didn't take kindly to that and said "I can speak to people however I want, and you can take your ****ing attitude somewhere else". Seeing his aggression, I didn't want to carry on adding fuel to the fire, so I just said "really, wow" and he sarcastically said "yes, wow, now **** off". This man, William Bond was rude and left a sour taste in everyone's mouth after leaving, and really created a kak start to our yacht trip. The two foreign girls said they will be posting about it on Social Media, so hopefully something is done about him after that too. We have 8 witnesses to what happened and we did bring it up with the owner of the party, and she said she will bring it up with them, but that's still not good enough. This asshole needs to be reprimanded for what he did. I think it's pathetic that Waterfront Charters has such a rude man sitting there and talking to girls the way he did, then getting super aggressive with me for just telling him not to talk like that. I mean, you guys surely have loads of tourists coming and going out of those offices, and this is the face of the business. What a joke! William Bond needs some customer care lessons in his old boring age. And I really hope something gets done about this...
